Things you say to kids that you could NEVER say to an adult! lol! #Kids #Parenting #LittleBigShots #SteveHarvey #SoFunny!

So my son just finished all of his dinner, so immediately, I take his plate, and say, 'Oh, Baby, you ate all your dinner!!  Good for you!  What a good boy!' .... Now, you could never say that to an adult! lol!  I've not once been given serious accolades for finishing all my dinner, say, out at a restaurant! hahahaha!  'Oh, Ailsa, hey, you finished all your dinner!  Good Girl!!  You ate every last bit, and did you even lick the plate??' hahahahaha!  (Nooo, I haven't licked the plate in years!  3 years, at least... lol!)

So then I'm laughing with my little man, Aidan, who is 12, and I said to him, Baby, that's hilarious!  I think that would be considered an 'Age Specific' line -- that's fantastic that you ate ALL your dinner!  Sooo silly!  Like you would sooo happily go to a little baby, and coo, 'Ooooh, who's so fat??   Who's so cute and fat?? Who has cute little fat thighs??  Look at that fat tummy!!' Then you'd poke their tummy and everyone would laugh and laugh, but if you tried that with a random woman, or even one you know, now there's trouble.... hahahahaha!  Although, now all I want to do is say that to one of my friends, one I know will laugh uproariously at the silliness of it all! hahahaha!  Makes me laugh!   I'm gonna go see if I can get someone's nose.... lol!

(Oh, but for the record, I am not a believer in 'cleaning off your plate'... nope!  Eat until you feel satiated, comfortably full... unless you're at a Buffet, and all rules go right out the window! lol!)

Parenting - And How to Stop the Whining - Theirs, Not Just Yours - haha!

My own little take on Weight Loss - You'll be happy the whole time! lol!

Ermahgawd, if you like to lick the plate, AND lose weight, you'll love my Apple Crumble!

Hilarious - we love it soo much! Look how much fun Steve Harvey and Ellen Degeneres can have when they get together with a whole bunch of amazing and hilarious kids - so funny! So sweet! Sooo talented!

Oh, man, we looove Steve Harvey's new show, Little Big Shots - is hilarious! A great mix of Art Linkletter's hilarious albums with kids - anyone else remember those? lol! You a'gotta go waaay back, for Art Linkletter - and we loove Jimy Kimmel's sketches with kids (I had to change the words, there... lol!) - omg, insanely funny, when Jimmy Kimmel and Guillermo make lists and check them twice, when the kids are giving them answers - so funny! But Steve Harvey's new show, Little Big Shots combines Steve Harvey's hilarious conversations with the children, and then the kids are amazingly talented - soo sweet! We love it! So funny and sweet!

Here's something really fun to say with kids - The Three Bears Speech Fugue - will make you laugh even more than the kids - lol! Is a whole lotta fun!

Oh, and here's a wee something that made us laugh so hard, when we were in the Drive-Thru, trying to order some deee-licious KFC - lol!  I love me that Thai Chicken! #hahaha!

Mr. Burns reads Tina Fey's Bossypants on The Simpsons, tonight! lol! #TinaFey #Bossypants #TheSimpsons

Oh, what beautiful hands you have... the better to hold a book with, mah' dear : )

This is hilarious! I just watched The Simpsons, Them, Robot (2012), and wouldn't you know it, Homer runs to Mr. Burns' house(trying to escape the robots he has, in some way, irritated (lol!), and finds Mr. Burns reading Tina Fey's Bossypants.... hilarious!

I just read Bossypants, and it was sooo funny, I couldn't stop reading it -- was up 'til 4:30 A.M. on Friday night, just to finish it!  Was soo funny!

We are huuuge Simpsons fans (I wrote 3 Simpson spec. scripts in the 90's, and just recently my little man, Aidan, and I started watching all the old 30 Rock shows... hilarious. We love Tina Fey, and then Cara got me Bossypants for my birthday.... was such a great read!

Plus, Tina Fey's hands are so pretty and delicate on the cover... you'll laugh when you see it : )

But Tina Fey's Bossypants was one of THE funniest books I've read in a long time -- Wanda Sykes had such a funny book years, ago, and I looove the old Erma Bombeck books (remember those??  If Life is a Bowl of Cherries, What am I doing in the Pits? I think that was one of the titles, but anything you can find by Erma Bombeck is hilarious.. and Ellen Degeneres... omg, Ellen's books are soooo funny, laugh-out-loud funny... so if you haven't picked it up, yet, or borrowed it from a friend, or put it on your Kindle... I think you get the point, there... you'll loove Bossypants -- hilarious read!

This link will take you straight to Tina Fey's Bossypants - you' gonna laugh! Or the person you give it to, they gonna laugh! lol!

The Bachelorette: Ah, Phuket...

Is that what everyone is saying about The Bachelorette, this season, 'Ah, Phuket'??  Wait, how do you pronounce that?  With a hard 'P', you say?? Oh, sorry.  My bad.  I thought it was an 'F'-it sound.... and maybe people still watching The Bachelorette think the same thing, too.... lol!

So what's the deal with little, tiny, teensy, Ashley?  Is she a dentist or a dancer??  How come they made her out to be a dentist on the Bachelor with Brad Womack, and this season on The Bachelorette, she's suddenly a 'dancer', with what looks to be about one good move... that thrusting your hips forward in a half walk, half dance-thing... I was tyring it on the weekend, when we were out for a hike (was beautilful... Kenneth Hahn Park in Los Angeles, the 'Walk for Health' section of the park... stunningly gorgeous, if you're looking for something fun and healthy to do...).  Anyway, I just look like an idiot trying that sh*t, but, you know, I'll do anything for a laugh, but I would never bother me asss to do that for real -- would be too stupi!  haha!

So little Ashley, who is now seen primarily in bikinis, to prove to the guys that she really is a girl... look, a bikini, I'm a girl!!  Come on, get interested!! Sad.  Not good.  Even Neanderthal Ned think 'Not Good'. Ashley's all depressed that loser Bentley is gone... that creep.  Ugh.  Oh, if only Bentley were here, what would my trip to PHUKET be like.... and I'm sure all the rest of the guys are thinking the same thing... and some have even mentioned they're there for a free trip around the world -- why not?  It's not their fault Ashley falls for all the losers...

We only got about halfway through the episode of The Bachelorette, last night, then switched over to The Housewives of Orange County, having yet another fight... was much better TV than Ashley looking forlorn over Bentley not being in Phuket... (can you tell I love the mispronunciation of that name?? hahahaha!  Makes me laugh!)  We left off where Ashley is on her date with Ames, who seems like a nice enough fellow... he looks like the kind of guy I went to University with (I went to Queen's University, in Kingston, Ontario, Canada)... smart, good looking, monied, can get any girl he wants in his normal life, probably doesn't treat women very well because of that... unfortunate stereotype, but usually true... but he has to really work to get Ashley's attention, since her mind is in Utah...hmmmm.  Those guys love a good chase, so we'll see what happens, there... he seems like a good guy, though.  Not like loser William... man, say something horrible to Ashley, she's yours for life.  What's that all about??  Ugh.  Women need to know, if he says something mean in his pick-up line, like, 'you probably think you're too good for me' (that's a standard line for abusers, too, ladies...), or actively says something mean about you to catch your attention, run away.  At the very least, turn your back.  It will only get much, much worse... this type of guy preys on the insecurities of these women.  Terrible, but true.

I liked that Ames was talking about family life on the date... at least he's thinking of that, and marriage, when that's what they're supposed to be there for, in the first place... but how many men a night does she kiss??  (Reminds me of the old 'mennonite' joke... How many Mennonites did she go out with?  3 mennonite... buh-dum-bum... haha!  It's an oldie but a goodie... really, it doesn't take much to make me laugh, clearly! haha!)  So are the producers telling Ashley to get in there and get to kissin' these guys, or does it all come naturally?? haha!!  Yuck!!  Kissing is such an intimate thing... and with one guy after another... yick.  How many will she want to take to the Fantasy Suites?? hahahahaha!

We'll keep watching The Bachelorette, of course... I'm always curious how it will work out.... I like Ben F. (looks like Dax Sheppard, and I really think he's cute... very funny guy...), and I like that Ryan guy with the Solar Panel Industry... good for him for helping the planet, and I looove Solar Energy, and any other kind of natural energy (especially Wind, Sun and Earth... Geothermal... that's stuff is waaay cool, fer sures!).

I don't see any connection with the other dentist... she barely talks to him.  I love my dentists... they're such nice fellows, and they are highly skilled conversationalists, so that makes no sense... they're so good at chatting away to you while you're getting your teeth done... is a great skill! She really seems to be distancing herself from her career in dentistry... that's bizarre, since that's what she talked about most on the last season of the Bachelor with Brad... hmmmm. Well, we'll see what happens, next week... oh, and my favourite 'Bachelorette Moment' happened with Jimmy Kimmel, when he came on the screen right after Bentley had been such a bashtard, Jimmy Kimmel turns to the camera, and says what a jerk-loser Bentley is... so we've been watching Jimmy Kimmel every since .. sooo funny!

April Fools Day 05... yep, I started writing these a loong time ago... lol! Sha-Tow Ur'rown Estates #Ha! #AprilFools

Happy April Fools Day!

April 1st, 2005.

Hey! I'm so glad you popped in. You'll never believe what just happened! We just sold our house -- all by ourselves! Man, I can't believe our luck... we got $20,000 over our Asking Price, on the condition that we move out by Sunday.

The people who bought it are soooo nice -- beautiful Leather Outfits with Matching Jackets. I don't know who does their Embroidery, but it was very neatly done. I'm sure you could see the Emblem a mile away. And leather like buttah'...gorgeous.

So it turns out they were cruising through the neighborhood last weekend, looking for a big house with lots of light where there'd be 'plenty of room to grow'. They seemed very, very interested in that.

They loved the Spacious Living Room and Kitchen -- room for the whole gang to come over for a party, they said. We love parties, too, so we could totally relate to that! And they thought the Circular Driveway was perfect for Wheelies and what-not. Who doesn't love doing wheelies, right?? Reminds you of your childhood.

The only thing I thought was a little disappointing was their reaction to all my lovely drapes -- they're planning to put up some 'black out curtains'. They are useful in keeping down the Air Conditioning Bills, so that does make sense, I suppose. Well, anyway, I shouldn't worry about that. I've got plenty of Twenties and Hundreds to count up today, since they said they had done very well in their last Deal, and had plenty of Cash to buy the house. Wasn't that lucky??

So Dwight has found us a lovely New Home that we can stay in until we get around to building again. It's not too far from here (about 45 minutes straight out on the Prairie), called Sha-Tow Ur'rown Estates. Sounds beautiful. Dwight says he snagged the place for a great Price and it comes with it's own Boat Parking Area -- a Hook at the End of the Building -- very handy if there's a Flash Flood, which occasionally happens at the end of April. Luckily, Dwight loves Boating, and we like to swim, so it should work out well. Dwight says I'm going to love the Brickwork on the Corners of the 'Movable Structure', as Dwight keeps calling it. Cinder Blocks, and for the most part, quite even. Anyway, he thinks there should be enough to hold the place up...

Well, I better go get packing. I've gotta clear out the Garage right away so they can drop off 'a few packages' early, and they need their Electrician to pop by to install a few extra lights and make some adjustments to the Electrical Panel. They're probably putting in a pool -- that's what I wanted to do, too! Lovely Fellows, every one of them. I'm sure our Neighbors are going to love them all, and they'll be able to continue our Tradition of our great big Get Togethers. Hope they do all right with all the Condo Bylaws... well, I'm sure it'll be fine.

Seeee Ya', Baby!! I gots ta' go!!

Have a Little Fun, today!! Ailsa : )

April Fools Day

Oh, FUD. Fud, Fud, Fud. I mean FOOD. I just learned that new word, "FUD". Fear, Uncertainty and Doubt. Hmmm, food for thought. Not as good as Chocolate, clearly, but a fun new word for me to play with...it's the new 'F'-word for this Century.

Man, I had a bit of a 'Fud' night, last night. A little too much Fud, if you know what I mean. Surprising how quickly a Bottle of Gin can get to a girl... (yes, I am the 'girl' in this story, and yes, I am well aware of my advancing years... what's yer point??) Anyway, to make a really, really long story shorter, I woke up this morning with a slight hangover and a very large Tattoo. A few Piercings, too. Man, what was I thinking?? That's no way to hang on to my Youth, and I get that now.

To be fair to My Tattoo Artiste (I think that's what he wanted to be called...),or Arty or something like that... he did do a really good job. Very dignified and subtle. I started out with a 4 Leaf Clover, since they've always been lucky for me, and I feel like I'd like to get lucky more often, so that seemed reasonable. Then I thought a Love Heart around the 4-Leaf Clover would look nice, and then I'd be 'lucky in love', which sounds like a good idea.

You know that whole thing that Madonna has goin' on with the Kabbalah thing and the purple Body Suit? Well, it got me to thinkin', "What if she's right?". I mean, she's been right about many things, before, so why not now? (3/4 of the way through the Bottle of Gin at this point..)Anyhooo, the color purple seems to be very significant for Madonna, so I had 'Arty', if that was his real name, draw a purple circle around the Love Heart, to symbolize World Unity (see how lofty?). Then I couldn't quite remember whether she said purple or violet, so we added one more ring in violet, just to cover my bases.

Speaking of my 'bases', they're pretty much covered in ink, now. Mmmm. What to do, what to do? How much for Laser Removal, I wonder? And how long does it take for a Nose Ring hole to heal over? And the Eyebrow hole? Oh, I see a lot of 'Healing Time' in my future. There is an important lesson here, though, and I think I've learned it, albeit the hard way (that's how I learn things): Don't Drink and Tattoo. That should be on a Bumper Sticker somewhere, to help the Less Fortunate, like meself a week ago.

Okay. I have to go have a Hydrogen Peroxide Dip. It's the only way to cover all my bases... Oh, and Happy April Fools Day!! Lets hope you have lots of laughs, today!! Love, Laughter and Peroxide! Ailsa

A Little More Love Advice : ) #Weddings #Marriage #Vows #Relationships #Love #AbusiveRelationships

And now a little more advice... hey, give a girl a platform, you know she's gonna use it (yes, I'm still talking about meself, but bizarrely enough, now in third person...).

Maybe take some courses, get yourself all ready to leave...

Thought this was a good place to dispel that stupid old idea that 'There's someONE for everyone...'. I can't stand that crazy notion -- I think it only serves to keep people with someone who is absolutely not right for them, given that the phrase indicates there will only be ONE for you. Nonsense! There are Billions of people in the world -- there are lots of choices for every one of us, so you should never fear that you won't find someone else -- of course you will. You just need to keep your head up and your heart open and WHAMMO, your next 'someone special' will come along! YaaHooo!

No - this is CRAZY! No one should ever be told to go on and live with the devil... crazy (did I already say Crazy? Because that's CRAZY - lol! Get out, be safe, you'll be much happier! : )

Also, my Mum always used to say, "The Devil you Know's better than the Devil you Don't". It's a Scottish saying, and another one that drove me up the wall (not any more... I'm a bit older, and a whole lot wiser, and this stuff just rolls off my back, now, but that the time, it was tough to deal with...) -- My response was always the same, and it continues to be -- "I'd rather live alone than with any Devil!". And that's true. Just another old saying meant to create enough fear in women to make them stay in a difficult relationship.

Okay, if you're in hell, right now, or have been in pure hell in a relationship, dis' might make you laugh... #FeelBetter! : )

Well, I think I'm on a bit of a rant, now, so I might as well tackle a more controversial subject -- the Marriage Vows. Really, who came up with 'For Better or Worse'?? How much Worse, you should ask. There's many a Batterer who has used this phrase against his wife... When Dwight and I got married, and the Minister said "For Richer or Poorer", I couldn't repeat the phrase... I don't want or need to be with someone else (see the emphasis on the else?? That's a little reference to my horrible first marriage...) who would impoverish me. No thank you. I'm a well educated, fully employable woman, and any guy who would happily drag me down some crazy spiral of poverty with him has to go. Kick him to the curb, so-to-speak! I'd be better off to be on my own. I've raised a child on my own before, and I can do it again, if need be. So that's what I was thinking during the Marriage Vows...and so I said,"For Richer or Richer", and Dwight laughed, so I knew that part was fine!

If only the devil were this cute, and this task-oriented - haha!

And the 'Obey' thing -- puh-leeease, don't even get me started! I hope to God no-one is saying that part anymore!

The thing is to go into Marriage with a firm grip on the reality of it -- it's a lot of work to put up with another person (and all their crazy relatives! Remember that the old adage that you're not just marrying your spouse, you're marrying the entire family -- man, ain't that the truth! Some time we'll get into the whole In-Law thing -- that's such a touchy subject for so many people. I've had two very difficult Mothers-in-Law, and that's enough for me. They can make your life a complete misery or they can be as wonderful as a second mother... always good to make sure the family unit is not tooooo insane before you get married! (Of course, then there'd only be a handful of marriages every decade, and the Wedding Industry would be livid, 'cause doesn't everybody come with some craziness attached..., so just find someone who can actually separate themselves from their Ma and Pa, and give it a shot!)

Might as well clear something else up, in case you've made the connection with me and the Ben Johnson thing. When I met Ben, I was living in some sort of cloud, I think, and I had absolutely no idea of how one would go about earning a living without going to work every day. I totally didn't get that. So when I met him and he seemed to be at home a lot, and travelled a lot, too, so I thought, "Oh, no. He's broke. What's he living on?? The house (very big, just for the record!) is paid for, the Ferrari is paid for (or was it a Lambougini?? I can never remember the difference!), his other two luxury cars were paid for -- what on earth is he living on??" And he seemed to be supporting some family members, too.
I felt that I could help him to get back on track (ha,ha,ha! He's an Olympic Runner, for those who might have forgotten!). I think I felt a certain kindred with Ben because we were both being thoroughly screwed over by the system, and for much longer than any actual criminal ever would be... I've got plenty to say about that! Anyway, I had written two Spec. Scripts for The Simpsons at that time, so I asked him if I could put him in a script. He said yes, and about a month later we started seeing each other. (Best physique I have ever seen, by the way -- truly stunning! I'm sure he'll be happy to hear that! ha,ha,ha!)

Now here's an odd thing -- he always seemed to be sooo concerned that people (namely, women) would take advantage of him for his money. Maybe that's why he didn't give me a Christmas or Birthday gift, which is NOT okay, since that's just the kind thing to do. And he's the one who didn't give me a Ring (Rings are VERY important to me -- no ring, no fun! That sort of thing! ha,ha,ha! And YES, I DO have a LOT of Rings! Funny that you would ask me that?! ha,ha,ha,ha,ha!). It's not the value of the Ring -- it's the sign of a true commitment, otherwise, how do I really know your intentions, hmmmmm?? So when I met Dwight out here in Calgary (Ben lived in Ontario, Canada), and he asked me out for dinner, I glanced down at my hand and thought, "Hmmmf...no ring...", and so I agreed to have dinner with Dwight, and the rest is history.

So you can see that I'm a little bit of an oxy-moron unto myself! I absolutely advocate marrying (or being with in a stable relationship) a Wealthy Man, but in the true sense of the word 'wealth'. It's not just determined by money, nor is it determined by the amount of money -- just how you use it, accumulate it and most importantly, how you manage it.

(I wrote this while I was still married... am happily divorced, now, very easy divorce, no worries, but I still stand by finding a partner you can grow with and who will be supportive of you - for each of you... a whole lot of mutual support! lol!)
