Quick aside from me, Ailsa, the Author of this site, http://www.buildyourownhouse.ca/ and http://buildyourownhousebodylife.blogspot.com/ -- I had a Reading over the phone with Rose Marcus a while back, and it was amazing. Frankly, I'd rather put my money into a great psychic reading than a whole lot of Therapy (unless it's really good therapy, but more on that later...). Anyway, it was a great Reading, and put a lot of things into perspective for me. Very clarifying! If you want to give that a try, just use Rose's email address to set up an appointment, if you like. Oh, and then let me know how it goes! :)

October Forecast Overview:
In the first week of October, Venus, Mercury, Mars, and Saturn change signs, and Jupiter stations retrograde.
While the Canada/US auto workers were able to hash out a first deal as Pluto stationed direct and Uranus squared Pluto in mid September, the NHL and the NHLP were not able to do the same. There are plenty of planetary stimulants this month, so let’s stay positive for a break in the ice with our current stand-offs. Better progress can be made around the new moon in Libra (Oct 15) or the beginning of Scorpio month (Oct 22 – 25).
Among the notable headlines from September’s sharp-edged Uranus square Pluto alignment: Kate Middleton’s violating photos, the senseless death and destruction over a ridiculous film mocking the Islamic prophet Mohammed, Canada’s embassy closure in Iran, and a leaked video of Mitt Romney putting hoof in mouth yet again. This razor-cut alignment seems to have played Mitt Romney’s last poker chip. Since then, the media reports that Obama’s voter margin has been widening. Of course, anything could happen between now and the Nov 6 Mercury retrograde election day. (I’ve made mentioned of the election in my published weekly (Sept 27 –Oct 3) column, for the Georgia Straight: http://www.straight.com/content/lifestyle/astrology). Another recent headline: prompted by the Aries full moon on Sept 29, a re-stimulation for the Uranus/Pluto transit, Omar Khdar the last Western detainee at Guantanamo Bay was finally shipped back to Canada.
Venus in Virgo, Oct 2 to 28, is a humbling, healing, corrective, detail and service-oriented influence. While Venus is in Virgo, we have to work harder for our dollars and our dollars have to work harder for us too. More applied effort is also required to get emotional needs met. Venus desires to fix, improve, and heal. Consider it as good intention setting by the gods. Can we mere mortals follow good suit? Look past the first week of October to get onto a better generating track.
The first presidential debate between Obama and Romney will be televised on Oct 3. Let’s hope the candidates shy away from the Venus in Virgo finger pointing and stay on the service-to-society point. The rest of the debates will take place on Oct 11, 16 (VP’s), and 22.
Due to its yearly retrograde which begins on Oct 4, Jupiter in Gemini will continue to stimulate the sensitive degrees of the destiny shaping Venus transit we had in June. Now through the middle of November, Jupiter adds another critical piece of script to the karmic storyboard. Watch for destiny’s hand, déjà vu, or a repeating theme to make a defining impact on the here and now, and also on shape of things to come. Make no mistake about it - a bigger picture design is under active construction through the end of the year.
Jupiter is considered in its detriment in Gemini, which means that it is not well suited to this sign. It has a propensity to scatter too far and wide, to get distracted by too much data, too many opinions, perspectives, and variables, to make too much of the trivial and to miss the target on the bigger ticket item. Once the retrograde cycle begins, Jupiter will “lift and separate”. The gift of Jupiter retrograde is that it is programmed to key into the specific access code that will grant passage into our awaiting future.
Mercury and Saturn conjoin at 29 Libra before both trek into Scorpio on Oct 5. Two planets meeting in the culminating degree of any sign are suggestive of a major karmic threshold crossing, and of potent seeding for what is to come. Mercury/Saturn is a manifesting, paving, crystallizing and/or cementing influence. It is one of key talks, business transactions, negotiations, legal matters, and contracts. We have just moved through a one year information gathering, introductory, testing ground, and/or time extension cycle. If you stop to reflect, you’ll see that during this time a particular relationship, circumstance, or ambition has been given a little more time to ripen and mature, or its been given one last chance prove whether or not there’s merit in continuing on. The karmic undertones, implications, and replays have likely not gone unnoticed.
Mercury and Saturn advance into Scorpio on Oct 5 and begin their next script. This is a much thicker, nitty-gritty plot read. From here, the scope, psychology, rationale, and strategy changes. We’ll source from deeper and more potent undercurrents.
Mercury’s transit through Scorpio brings the immediacy of moment to our attention, while Saturn sets the long term agenda into play. To October 28, Mercury keeps our radar on alert. In Scorpio, Mercury is shrewd, strategic, investigative, penetrating, and sometimes retaliating. The transit brings issues of mistrust, suspicion, and betrayal to the surface. There are secrets to keep and secrets to uncover. While Mercury tenants Scorpio, the pursuit can be come obsessive, and the onslaught, relentless.
Through October, Saturn in Scorpio engages in a water grand trine with Ceres in Cancer, Neptune and Chiron in Pisces. Saturn is both facilitated and made more pliable by this alignment. A grand trine in water allows for the creative flow for what is already in motion. With Neptune’s engagement, a wide range of potentials can come into being.
Saturn/Neptune will build a framework from whatever emotional viewpoint holds the highest watermark. Do we build from an ideal or a dream, or from fear, suspicion, mistrust, etc.? While Saturn is the planet that correlates to boundaries, containment, and repression, its involvement here allows for an open exchange among the planets involved. Positively Saturn in Scorpio trine Neptune can break down barriers and help us to manifest the vision, to reach for what was previously unavailable or unattainable.
On the other hand, the transit can create a swelling, outpouring, or unleashing of that which so far has been held in check. Saturn/Neptune can seep, infiltrate, or penetrate. It can create more vulnerability and exposure. As the tides of mass consciousness, victimization, and disillusionment stir, civil unrest, fear, and pandemonium can surge. With Ceres in Cancer tossed into the grand trine mix, issues to do with water and food, nourishment, nurturance and health become a more growing concern. Preservation, production, quality, purification, epidemics, and scarcity are certainly topics covered in the news. At the time of this writing, there is a major E-Coli threat that has compromised the beef industry in Canada and the US. A hike in feed prices due to a US summer draught has pig farmers slaughtering their live-stock in order to avoid economic ruin.
Saturn in Scorpio trine Neptune creates added vulnerability for governments, governing bodies, authority, and authority figures. Security leaks and scandals occur with higher frequency. Protect your passwords, your secrets, and your health. The pope is currently embroiled in a security scandal. After wooing Chinese business, Canada faces the dilemma of whether or not to allow the Chinese government to buy an oil company in Alberta, which potentially allows them surveillance access. Obama has just nixed several deals with China because of this issue. A major organized crime investigation is underway in Montreal, involving pay-offs from the construction industry to the Mafia and the Mayor’s office. And the list goes on.
Saturn in Scorpio is an influence that dries up resources, but on the other hand it is also one that holds hidden reserves. It can be an empowering and transformative influence, especially for those who have the courage to call the spade by its name, and to lay it on the line for a better day’s dawn.
Through 2015, Saturn in Scorpio calls for a complete overhaul of our acceptance of business as usual. When Scorpio is featured, we are confronted with critical choice making. Will we, as a collective, continue to betrayal ourselves and sabotage our own survival? Saturn in Scorpio turns our attention to the critical realities and priorities of the day. The system is failing, how do we transform it? How do we regenerate abundance on the planet? Do we trust one another? Can we trust Iran; can we stop them from their nuclear production? Can we stop Syria, or any other regime? How can we prevent crime, corruption, and tragedy? We can already see a sense of urgency growing re staking a piece of the mining, manufacturing, and resources pie, especially regarding oil, oil sands, oil production. Is there also a sense of urgency regarding saving the planet or the quality of human life? By 2015 scientists report that there will be no ice in the Arctic during the summer. The methane gas that will be released because of this climate change will rival anything that man has produced so far.
Saturn in Scorpio extends to 2015 as does the razor’s edge Uranus/Pluto transit. Make no mistake about it, as a collective we are heading into our toughest, most transformative years yet. And Obama thought he had it hard the first time around!
It’s not all doom and gloom though. There is plenty of opportunity for the taking. A new reality is waiting to be designed, scientists and visionaries are excited about the possibilities. We must hold to the same. The new moon in Libra on Oct 14 suggests creative solutions can set wheels in motion. This Libra moon can breathe new life into present happenings and circumstances. There is greater potential for same page accord, working together as one, win/win agreements and alliances, etc.
The sun’s advance into Scorpio on Oct 22 adds more energy to the water trine of Saturn, Neptune, Ceres, and Chiron. Oct 22 to 25 can seal the deal, actual and karmic. This can be a fruitful, crystallizing, or finalizing time for agendas, ambitions, and contracts, for joining forces, for pushing forth, for realization and attainment.
October 6 to Nov 16, Mars in Sagittarius thrusts the fight and flight into higher gear. October 28, Mars in opposition to Jupiter will see a major movement, initiative, or campaign hit the runway. Along with the full moon in Taurus on October 29, this weekend launches that final big push for the presidential election and more. We’ll see plenty of escalation not only on the campaign trail, but everywhere, including in our private life journeys too.

TAURUS (April 20 -May 20) Since the end of August, Mars in Scorpio has prompted you to break new relationship ground. This transit has forced you to reinvent how you show up for yourself out there in the world too. Saturn’s advance into Scorpio, starting Oct 5, takes it to the next level. If it’s meant to be, your relationship will grow tighter and richer. A relationship that has reached its end will display that “sorry, we’re closed” sign more prominently until you are forced to reckon with the reality. Remember that when Saturn is involved, realization can be a slow and arduous process. On the other hand, just like fine wine, Saturn in Scorpio’s rewards just get better over time. Jupiter’s retrograde cycle, starting Oct 5, can keep you busy with the immediacy of the moment. You are likely to find yourself less distracted by the non essentials and more singularly focused on particular circumstance, project, or ambition. This is especially so while Mercury is in Scorpio, Oct 5 - 28. Throw yourself into studies or research, self improvement, your financial get-ahead, etc. Aim to stay productive and you can accomplish more than the usual. While Jupiter is retrograde and Mars in Sagittarius, Oct 6 to Nov 16, you can feel that and your significant are worlds apart. This can be true if you are both ready to move on but it can give you a valuable opportunity to sort yourself out first. On the other hand, the distance may simply be reflective of the fact that the busy-ness of life is taking away from your quality time together. It’s a temporary influence, put it good use. Mars in Sagittarius brings the right time to expand and explore, to scout for more clients and financial opportunity. This transit can find you spending or investing more too. A good cause is worth everything you give it, but also keep a handle on it and avoid needless extravagance as best you can. Oct 29 delivers a full moon in Taurus. Noting Mars opposing Jupiter the day before, something can grow fast, even go out of control, and then abruptly come to a full stop. A lucrative or exciting potential could be short lived. Something fun could turn serious real quick. An exchange or sudden moment could be of lasting impact.
GEMINI (May 21-June 21) Have you been considering a career redirection? Saturn’s transit through Scorpio, starting on Oct 5, suggests it’s the right time to take it on. Mind you, Saturn will give you a couple of years to sort it out, so there’s no need to scurry. Then again, you can be forced by circumstance or have good reason to make a short bee-line. You’ll also find it necessary to stop the fence sitting regarding health and relationship upgrades. Saturn’s transit through Scorpio can make you more conscious of your bad habits and self defeating attitudes. If you need a stronger alarm to wake you up, Saturn can oblige you by bringing a harsh reality or harsh consequence into being. Speaking of that, there is nothing more tragic than an addiction. Saturn can loan you the stamina and fortitude that can lead you to a personal triumph. If you choose to perpetuate self denial, this transit can be one of going down with the ship. (Globally, we are already doing this with our addictions to oil and our profits-before-people greed.) We all have varying rock-bottoms. If you are coping with such a circumstance, ask yourself what price you are willing to pay to explore your dark side? Surely, giving up the vice is a more lucrative sacrifice. For the next 18 months, the north node in Scorpio will provide you with opportune tools to create more effectiveness where you desire it the most. Recognize the gifts, make full use of them. Jupiter retrograde, Oct 5 – Jan 30 helps you to get clearer on your better options. You’ll gain fresh perspective on your current circumstances, aspirations and involvements. It is an ideal influence for submerging yourself into a study, project, or relationship exploration. Mercury in Scorpio, Oct 5 to 28, takes you through an intensified working it out cycle. Venus in Virgo, Oct 2 to 28 keeps you especially busy. The second week of the month can move you past a roadblock, a confidence issue, and/or open up a lucrative potential. The synchronistic new moon Oct 15 is a good time to sign a contract, or to meet, greet and explore. The full moon Oct 29 can bring unexpected pressure, added vulnerability, dissipation or loss. Be extra cautious, especially re health, finances, and expectations.
CANCER (June 22-July 22) Saturn in Scorpio can come as a relief for Cancer folk. This Saturn transit can help you to create from a more empowered perspective. If you have faltered along the way, Saturn can help you regain yourself again. Saturn aims to realign you with your creative center and helps you stand in your best “light”. Postively, you can be entering an extended period of personal and professional success, creative accomplishment, and of heart fulfillment. Oct 5 can deliver a final answer or end of the road, or pare down your options and define the shape of things to come. Jupiter's retrograde cycle, beginning Oct 4 can be subtle, but it is potent none-the-less. When you pause for reflection, you’ll find your intuition and creativity transmits a stronger signal. Continue to monitor your impressions. Pay closer attention to the words behind the words and the meaning behind the action. Give yourself the next few months to learn the ropes, to explore the potential, to hatch your next plans, etc. Use Mars in Sagittarius, Oct 6 to Nov 16, to scout for more clients or better job prospects, to upgrade marketing and advertising, to introduce new products and services, to add to your education or knowledge base, to scout for a new vehicle or more tools. Oct 8 to 10 are synchronistic, things come together readily and well. The week of the new moon on Oct 15 can also bring it together for you. For the most part you should feel destiny is on your side as the full moon rises on Oct 29, but also make sure that you have the facts straight, that the potential holds real promise, and that you are seeing reality as it is. Don’t pit yourself against impossible odds, or promise what you know you can’t deliver.
LEO (July 23-Aug. 22) Oct 5 brings you to a dead-line, finish off point or a good-bye; Mercury/Saturn signals an ideal time to have a serious talk, to formalize an agreement, to sign papers, commit to a plan, study, or investment. When it comes to a dead-end relationship or circumstance, you should have little doubt about quitting time. Of course once you reach this point, it’s already time to look beyond it. Since the end of August, Mars in Scorpio has been providing you with a quick preview of the changes, investments, and necessities that Saturn in Scorpio will command of you. Saturn in Scorpio adds pressure, especially regarding family, home, and business matters. As is imperative for all of us now, you’ll have to learn how to make due with less while learning how to make what you have account for more. Whether you renovate your home, attitude, lifestyle, or professional ambitions, you can trust Saturn in Scorpio to keep you on task until you get yourself where you need to be. Mars in Sagittarius, Oct 6 to Nov 16, supplies you with the vision, the fighting spirit, the knowledge, and the opportunity. While Venus in Virgo (Oct 2 to 29) makes you sweat harder for your gains, interest and enthusiasm continues strong. Jupiter retrograde calls for you to be more selective regarding your social and community involvements. You could find the need to shift your attention or involvement temporarily while you engage elsewhere. By the end of the month, the time for planning, musing, or skirting around is over. It’s time to hit it hard. The Scorpio full moon on Oct 29 brings you to a culmination point. A major professional contract or real estate deal can be sealed. There can be challenges with authority, bank or legal matters to attend to, or concerns for parents or family members, but overall this full moon is productive, enhancing, and opportune. Just one day before the full moon in Taurus on Oct 29, Venus enters Libra and Mercury enters Sagittarius. Both planetary advances suggest a major release for whatever has been accumulating or putting you asunder. It’s also a good weekend for special occasions, events or celebration.
VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22) There's more than the usual to sort through as October starts. You can feel uncertain of yourself, or at a complete loss, especially so as Venus enters Virgo on Oct 2 and forms oppositions to Neptune (Oct 3) and Chiron in Pisces (Oct 7). If you have been living for a potential that has no real substance to it, you can face disillusionment and disappointment. Jupiter’s retrograde cycle, beginning Oct 4, can be informing in this regard. Mars in Sagittarius, starting Oct 6, will put that elusive prize even further out of reach. On the other hand, if you have grasped onto something that holds good juice, then you should see that beautiful or lucrative potential unfold quite rapidly in the coming weeks and months. Knitting it or knotting it together, there’s an important matter to discuss, resolve, and conclude as Mercury conjoins Saturn in Libra on Oct 5, just before both planets begin their Scorpio trek. This can be a day of facing the facts, and finishing it off in no uncertain terms; of important decisions, negotiations, investments, and contract undertakings; of moving the rocks out of the way and/or of setting important paving stones in place. From here, a lot changes - perhaps everything does. Saturn’s exit from Libra and advance into Scorpio can feel like someone just open a window and let you out. The financial and relationship hardships of the past couple years will soon feel like ancient history. That’s not to say that all your challenges have suddenly vanished, but simply that you won’t feel as weighted down, hard done by, or shut out of your fair share as seemed to be the case in recent times. Saturn tenants Scorpio from Oct 5 through 2015. While this no-time-for-games-or-bullshit transit continues, you’ll learn to speak with more impact, courage, and conviction. You’ll begin to hold more sway and influence, and to command more respect. Too, your critical thinking and powers of observation will be honed in the coming years. You’ll naturally become more pensive and observant, perhaps even more mistrustful or suspicious. To a certain extent, this can do you some good, especially if you are prone to being victimized by an overly trusting heart. Don’t let yourself stall out with depression. Although its a natural, and sometimes necessary, state of the human psyche, you have better places to be. Reframe it as inner reflection and pull your socks up. As Saturn winds its way through Scorpio, people will start to take you, your work, and your word more seriously. In fact, whether you train formally or not, in small or more substantial ways, you could become sought after for your knowledge, skill or expertise. This is an ideal transit for serious scholastic ambitions, and for major social, personal, and professional reinvention. You’ll jettison some friends, i.e., the timewasters and backstabbers, while other relationships will cement and grow in importance. Be they friends, colleagues, clients, business contacts, sibling, mentors, agents, or advisors, the relationships that are keepers will be ones that offer you something of true substance and worth. Jupiter in Gemini retrograde, Oct 4 to Jan 30, will also put you through a priority rethink cycle. Use this cycle to hash out your plans, review commitments, question more, and to ask more of yourself and from those who are instrumental to your wellbeing and abundance. The new moon on Oct 14 can set up a new financial opportunity or bring legal matters to the foreground. Even though there is some risk-taking involved or new ground to break, this new moon signals an appropriate time to make a major financial or relationship investment. It also offers better prospects for those on the job or relationship hunt. Oct 22 to 25 can be a solidifying or goal reaching time. In fact, the second, third and fourth weeks of the month offer a productive backdrop. You should find yourself less restricted and with better prospects and opportunity. The full moon Oct 29 can see you happy to let go of an issue, circumstance, or relationship that has plagued you for sometime.
LIBRA (SEPT 22-OCT 22) You may think of Saturn’s exit out of Libra as a welcome relief but Saturn has to go somewhere. Hopefully you have been able to harness the best of Saturn –i.e. to develop the serenity to accept the things you can’t change, the courage to change the things you can, and the wisdom to know the difference. I think we can all agree the Serenity Prayer never goes out of style. Thankfully Saturn’s trek into Scorpio, starting Oct 6, is facilitated by Neptune in Pisces and Ceres in Cancer (a grand trine). The sun’s entrance into Scorpio on Oct 22 and alignment with Saturn also activates Neptune and Ceres. What does this mean for you? That you have better coping skills than you may realize. Like it or not, this time of essential restructuring, pay dues, or facing the music comes/feels like natural progression. On the positive, you can find your work, creativity and learning curve flows quite well, that you can integrate new techniques, processes, or absorb what you need to very readily. When it’s right for you, you’ll take to it like a duck to water. Saturn trine Neptune can tug hard at the heart strings. It can expose your compassion or spiritual side. On the other hand this transit can make you more physically or emotionally vulnerable. This can also be an emotional, physical or materially draining influence. For the rest of the month, put added attention toward getting proper rest; try not to succumb to unhealthy eating, activities, or self pity, and watch you’re spending too. Mars in Sagittarius, Oct 6 to Nov 16, can keep you inspired, hopeful, and on a crusade. This is a good influence for expanding your social circle, for travel, teaching, coaching, or educational pursuits, and also for getting the word out to those who need to know. When it comes to getting anything off the ground, it’s for you to take the lead and to set an example for the rest of us. On Oct 28, Mars in opposition to Jupiter can set big wheels in motion. This can be a lucrative day to aim for, and/or to aim higher. Venus enters Libra and Mercury enters Sagittarius on Oct 28 too, just one day before the full moon in Taurus. The last week of the month can bring you a significant financial or relationship threshold or finish line.
SCORPIO (Oct 23~Nov 22) Looking back over the past couple of years, I’m sure you’ll say it’s been a mixed bag of losses and gains. You may not have been able to see how it all fits together while you were in the thick of so much transition and change. It’s all been the lead-up to Saturn’s tenure in Scorpio, Oct 5 to 2015. Revving up your engine, Mars has been running vanguard for Saturn since the end of August. At the end of August, the karmic axis shifted into the Scorpio/Taurus polarity too. While it’s been building it for awhile, you have now arrived at the starting gate of a whole new life trajectory. Saturn begins Scorpio with added support from Neptune in Pisces. The trine is exact on Oct 10, but the duo will continue to facilitate one another through the entire month. Oct 22 to 25, the sun in Scorpio will add its light to this pairing/trine. (Sun trine Neptune occurs on Oct 23 and the Sun conjunct Saturn occurs on Oct 25.) How does this generate for you? It’s a natural creative flow. You are in a favourable building, manifesting, attainment, and recognition cycle. Use these dates to instigate, fire it up, reach out, or complete. Ambitions, plans, etc. can shape-up or culminate with relative ease. Even the tough stuff is easier to handle. Venus in Virgo, Oct 2 to 28, is the time to mix creativity with practicality in terms of making your dollars, ambitions, and involvements work for you. This is a heal-it, fix-it or corrective influence. It’s a matter of being more discriminating with your resources, time, and output, of ditching the marginal and the time wasters. Why take it on if it doesn’t offer enough/get you to where you envision yourself? Why bother with people who make promises but don’t deliver? Spend time with those who can offer you something of substance; that you can learn or benefit from. On the other hand, your involvement with a group or a key someone could offer good healing to them and increase a potential or prospect for you. You can be good, perhaps essential sounding board for another. Mars in Sagittarius, Oct 6 to Nov 16, can put you on a financial increase, a spending spree, or a financial hunt - and perhaps all three at once. This Mars placement can amp up your resources and your resourcefulness. The new moon Oct 15 begins an opportune couple of weeks for getting on with the tasks at hand. Use your days wisely and you can gain good ground re work, relationships, and health. End of the month, you are into something major again. On Oct 28, Mars opposes Jupiter, Venus enters Libra and Mercury enters Sagittarius. The full moon in Taurus occurs on Oct 29. These are definitive cut-off or surpassing days. There can be an abrupt ending, with no turning back. What’s ripe and ready to make its presence known, it will do so in no uncertain terms. This can be significant time of goal-reaching, or of contractual undertakings, actual and karmic. What cements into place now will pave the roadway for a long time to come.
SAGITTARIUS (Nov 22~Dec21) It seems you have plenty on brew and more figuring-out to do in this first week of October. Venus in Virgo, Oct 2 to 28 calls for you to more closely examine your ambitions, commitments, and priorities; to shift, replenish, or shore-up as needs be. Your high hopes/envisioning will put you to productive work, or you’ll see that your expectations have fallen short of their mark. Either way, it’s time to move on to a fresh page. Jupiter in Gemini, turning retrograde on Oct 4, will help you to translate the writing on the wall into a more readable format. It will do this by segregating out and labelling the variables into more visible categories. Through the end of January, Jupiter retrograde will keep you focused on a specific relationship, project, or goal. (Perhaps there’s more than one key matter occupying you.) One thing hinges on another. There’s mirroring, playback, and feedback to analyze. What you see and what you get, the advertising and the reality, the talk and the walk, are they one or at odds? If same page doesn’t come naturally or easily, you can bet that you are working your way through a major karmic subchapter. This is especially so through the beginning of November. Mercury and Saturn conjoin in Libra on Oct 5 before both planets exit the sign. This planetary pairing brings a relationship, contract term, financial matter, grace period, or test phase to a major finish-line. Mercury’s transit is a quick one through Scorpio, but its potency can endure. Oct 5 to 28, you’ll have plenty to work out behind the scenes. This is a time to strategize and to keep it close to your chest. Saturn’s exit out of Libra and into Scorpio on Oct 5 turns your priority attention away from working it “out there” to working it from within. Your recent public, social, or group involvements or ambitions will now take a back seat to more pressing private and personal life matters. The focus narrows and life shrinks again. It can be time for you to circle the wagons re finances and to put more effort toward safeguarding the commitments, relationships, and assets that truly matter. Through 2015, Saturn in Scorpio will keep working behind the curtain to stage your new reality. In other words, your soul aims to keep a major karmic agenda mostly under wraps. Sometimes you’ll know it. Sometimes you’ll actively direct the construction. At other times you’ll get inklings and messages. This is an ideal time to engage in a project or study, or to set an intention, that will take a couple of years to bring to fruition. Of course there are many possible expressions for any planetary influence. Saturn in Scorpio can introduce you to your ultimate career or life’s purpose. It can bring you to an ultimate threshold and help you to realize a long sought after, and deeply cherished, desire or hope. This Saturn placement can also find you deepening you spiritual practice or find you questioning God more. Either way, Saturn will open the door to another realm. Saturn trine Neptune for the month of Oct necessitates that you simplify where possible. After so much recent turmoil, Saturn/Neptune can bring you a level of inner peace and reconciliation, or it can support you find more faith and trust in “let go and let god”. Mars in Sagittarius, Oct 6 to Nov 16 can renew your faith, vitality, and enthusiasm. One way or another, it puts you on the move, especially so at month end. Oct 28, Mars opposes Jupiter, Venus enters Libra, and Mercury enters Sagittarius. Off with the old, onto the next; a full stop followed by a vibrant new start, the back-at-it/back to work full moon in Taurus on Oct 29 adds an extra kick/thrust to current events and happenings. Could this full moon put hockey back on the ice?
CAPRICORN (DEC 22~JAN 19) At the start of the month you still may not have the answers, clarity, or green light that you’ve been waiting for, but you will soon enough. Venus in Virgo opposing Neptune (Oct 2, 3) can offer promise, but they can also suggest you’ll have a propensity to see/hear what you want to see and miss the rest. You are wise to stay detail oriented. Jupiter’s change of direction to retrograde motion, starting Oct 4 (to Jan 30) helps you to sort out fact from fiction, to get your story and/or your bearings straight. For the next several months while Jupiter is in retrograde, you are likely to find yourself well occupied with a particular issue, training program, or learning curve. As you move through the next several months, you’ll come to learn what works for you and what doesn’t. In fact, Jupiter retrograde will help you to hone better observational skills, and more pinpointed communication skills. Oct 5 can be a completion, solution finding, or contract signing day. On this day, both Mercury and Saturn will advance out of Libra and into Scorpio. Oct 5 to 28, Mercury in Scorpio can shift the direction of a key relationship, social involvement, or a financial track. Saturn in Scorpio, starting Oct 5 (to 2015) can prompt a dramatic change to your goals or lifestyle. Whether you have chosen it or its thrust upon you, this Saturn transit can set the course of your life onto a radically alternate track. You could find yourself carrying more responsibility, for yourself or another. Then again, the transit may help you to set yourself free of the burdens you’ve carried for so long. Either way, the ongoing Uranus square Pluto transit (to 2015) will continue to supply you with fresh fuel until you finally get the job done. Mars in Sagittarius, Oct 6 to Nov 16, keeps you flying at it behind the scenes. This Mars position brings you added insights. Listen your inner guidance and follow your intuition more. The sun’s entrance into Scorpio, starting Oct 22, can change the score yet again. There can be added incentive, options, or factors. Oct 22 to 25 can be defining, solidifying, or solution generating. A goal can be reached, an issue, project, study or negotiation can be completed; you could be given a reward, award, contract, or a good break. Noting that Mars opposes Jupiter on Oct 28 and the emotional full moon in Taurus occurs on Oct 29, there’s sure to be plenty extra going on at month’s end. Something to do with work, health or unfinished business could take you by surprise. It could all hit at once. From one extreme to another, something that has been blocked or held-up can be suddenly fast tracked. Expect a major release or unleashing. (There can be unhinging too.) Positively, you could put your hands on more than you realized was there to begin with. A dynamic financial or romantic potential could take you by storm. Once the target is in good view, a compulsive or obsessive streak could get the better of you. Stay alert, proceed with caution.
AQUARIUS (Jan 20~Feb 18) By the end of the first week of October, you should have something officially wrapped up and/or laid to rest. Mercury conjunct Saturn on Oct 5 can also provide you with confirmation, results, an award, a contract, or more concrete information than you have now. On this same day, both planets will leave Libra and advance into Scorpio. As they do, they can prompt significant restructuring or a complete overhaul in the way you approach a specific circumstance, project, plan, or goal. Over the next couple of years, the world is going to change in major ways, and so will you. Can you weather a depressed economy? Saturn in Scorpio changes the way we do business and the way we govern ourselves. This Saturn position calls for you to be more astute, shrewd, and resourceful. Put these talents to work now and you’ll hedge your best bets. There’s no time to waste. If you want a career change, go for it now. As best possible, avoid digging yourself into a deep financial hole. If you are already there, fight harder! With good effort applied, you can make a successful turnaround. Know that in such uncertain times as we face now, there is even more opportunity. On another track, Saturn in Scorpio can help you to develop more profession stature and clout. You can become a force to reckon with in your relationships too. A more authoritative or responsible position could be offered or heaped upon you. Whether is it now or over the next couple years, you could find you need to pick up the ball that someone else can’t carry or refuses to carry. Your relationship to a parent, mentor, corporation, or authority figure can undergo major change too. Jupiter’s retrograde cycle, beginning Oct 4, helps you to stand out from the crowd and to create a great distinction for yourself. Your creativity increases, your intuitive know-how should too. You’ll find it best to hold to your own wise council. While Jupiter is in retrograde, your inner teacher is likely to speak up more. It’s up to you to listen and to act upon the advice. Scorpio month, starting Oct 22, puts an added emphasis on career matters and on upgrading your professional profiling. Oct 22 to 25 can bring you added professional attention or reward. This is an appropriate time to sign contracts, negotiate business deals, or financial matters. Oct 28 and 29 are action packed. One way or another, Mars in opposition to Jupiter can put the show on the road. The full moon in Taurus brings family, home, real estate, self employment, and financial matters to a decisive turning point.
PISCES (Feb 19~March 20) The stars have been staging it for a while now and here you are, stepping into your future. You are at the start of so much more. Venus in Virgo and opposition to Neptune (Oct 2, 3) and Chiron (Oct 10) can make you feel overwhelmed or at a loss. As part of the mix, there may be a necessity to give up something that has held value or meaning for you, or a goodbye may be said. Whether glorious or bittersweet, it is a time has come moment, and you know it well. Oct 4, Jupiter begins its annual retrograde. Over the next several months, your consciousness will be attuned to the colliding holographic reality that unfolds before you - in other words you are likely to be very aware of how past, present, and future is rolled into one. On Oct 5, Mercury completing on Saturn brings you to a finish line and also begins a fresh page. As both Mercury (to Oct 28) and Saturn trek through Scorpio (to 2015), they’ll introduce to plenty of foreign territory and elements. Doors that seemed closed you to previously can open wide for you now. There are plenty of new worlds waiting for you. Expand yourself. Travel, relocate, perform, exhibit, publish; take enrichment courses, masters programs; consider speculative ventures; seek or take on coaching, teaching, mentoring, etc. For some, Saturn’s trek through Scorpio can bring influence, fame, fortune, a career path full of rich purpose, or a legendary love. This month’s facilitating trine between Saturn and Neptune (especially potent Oct 6 to 13) and also from June to Aug 2013, makes for an ease of transition and exceptional opportunity. Saturn’s trine to Ceres in Cancer (to Dec 5) and Chiron in Pisces (especially influential through mid December) heightens the fated feel of the journey. Envision, aspire, have faith, trust your intuition, and go for it. The new moon on Oct 15 can be a time to cement or launch. The start of Scorpio month, Oct 22 and the days that follow, are also opportune for new starts, contracts, legal matters, professional or personal endeavours. The end of October is an ideal time to get a new address or a new office. Oct 28, Mars opposing Jupiter could find you ready to take a big risk, overwhelm you with substantial pressure or opportunity, and/or put you on a sudden move. There can be sudden losses or gains, big news, special events or visitors. The full moon in Taurus on Oct 29 puts finances, key relationships, survival issues, and self preservation needs to the fore. Something potent could be discovered or uncovered (re emotional, material/financial, health.) Something of substantial value can be acquired or undertaken, i.e. a major purchase, contract, professional, or relationship commitment. What is set in place will set the stage for the long haul.
