Well, hahaha, was hard to figure out what picture to put in to show how white and fluffy your laundry will be when you use lots of Bleach, but, well, this picture is great for getting you to think of something that is very, very white and fluffy, right? lol!

(Take a little Fun Break with Ailsa! : )  (Where you can really 'clean up'! hahaha!

So, it's Laundry Day, and we were down in the laundry room, pouring the bleach on the whites, and I said to my son, who is 15, gee, you know, Thank God my friend Nancy happened to be doing the laundry on a day I was over visiting with her - and she was using bleach, and you would think I would already have known about bleach, since I already had a baby, my beautiful little Cara - Nancy and I both had babies at the same time, roughly, so it was a lot of fun to get the babies together while we had great conversations, too... that's really great for all young mothers... it's great to have other moms to talk to, for sures!  And it REALLY helps if they're hilarious - makes it all so much better!

55% off Carters little layettes for newborns. Select styles.

Anyway, I asked Nancy what she was doing, since her laundry was always so sparkly and clean, and I am a firm believer in learning whatever you can from anyone who you think is doing it, just right, right? lol!  Well, really, that boils down to being able to say, oh, hey, what's that you're doing, and learning it for yourself, too...

And bleach is amazing for cleaning all your baby clothes and all their little items.. just use a small amount for the baby clothes, since tiny babies are have very sensitive skin... but as they get to be older, like, teenagers, go for it, clean those socks! hahaha!

Great deals under $10!

So, just in case your mom or dad, or any of your friends who are doing their laundry while you're over, and you happen to luck into this info on your own... but if you didn't have that, or don't have that, then here we go, this is all for you, baby! lol!

Never be afraid of using bleach - I use it on all the whites, so separate out your laundry, do all the colors, first, so no bleach gets on any of the color clothes... and then put your whites in the washing machine in layers... put the clothes and laundry that isn't too bad, on the bottom, then carefully lay in the socks and whatever else really needs a good cleaning, and pour the bleach right on the items.  No need to be super careful with this - just pour that bleach on. Then pour on some laundry soap.  We never follow any directions for the amount of laundry soap, either - just pour that shiz on, right? lol!  You want it to be super-clean and sparkly! lol!

Just keep going - sheets, the bed base, like a fitted bed pad - we looove those, so comfy - and pour the bleach right on that, too, then the laundry soap - why, it's like a little Laundry Lasagna - bah'hahahahaah!  The key is to use a lot of bleach and a lot of laundry soap... Oh, and go ahead and cut the liner off your pillows - you can carefully cut along the sewn line of the base pillow case, and wash that, too...

60-70 % off bed pillows, matress padding, sheets, bedding collections & sets, bath towels, bath rugs, curtains & decorative pillows. Select styles.

You will be sooo excited when you see how brilliantly white your socks are!  I'm not sure why that's so exciting, but, well, it is - lol!

Here's a funny little 'laundry' story - making my husband's (at the time - we're divorced, now... and not because o' da socks, neither - lol!) socks soo white was the ONLY thing my mother-in-law, at the time, liked about me - oh, that's lovely, right? hahaha!  Easier to laugh at, looking back, was all too crazy.

And that brings to a good piece of advice for any mothers-in-law, out there... or anyone dealing with other human beings (sooo, that's pretty much everyone! lol!) - don't be so judgmental about who your child is with - if they're happy, you're happy, and that's it.  If parents would stop being soo judgmental about everything their adult children do or do not do, things would be much better for everyone involved.

And if you have a parent who is actively going after your spouse or significant other, the child of the parent has to be the one to go and speak to the annoying parent - you must be the one to support your own significant other, or you run the very serious risk of them not being your significant other, all that much longer - (hmmm, maybe the socks DID have something to do with that divorce... anyhooo, you get my point! lol!)

So, bottom line, don't be afraid to use lots of bleach - let go of the 'half a cup' thing, it won't damage your clothes, it'll just make your laundry all lovely and sparkly and white! Yippee!!

Oh, and you can use a mix of hot water, in your sink, and regular dish soap, you can use that to clean your furniture - do a test on a bit you can't see, first, and not on, like, a purple or red couch, that seems like a very bad idea - hahaha!  But if it's beige, or tan... you be the judge on that one, but you can use a nice clean, white cloth, small towel, or face cloth, dip it in the hot water/bleach/soap mixture - you'll have a half a sink, at least, and you use the cloth to scrub the furniture - Voila!  New again!

I do the furniture every 6 months, or so - keeps everything sparkly and clean - yahoo!

Okay, gotta get back to the laundry! lol!  Happy Cleaning! Ailsa : )

And now to clean up your whole life, my favorite little Louise Hay - she's brilliant!!
