Aaawww, don't let those naysayers ruin your LUCKY Friday the 13th!  Those bashtards!  I woke up to what is usually one of my favorite radio shows, this morning, only to be greeted with a series of scary Friday the 13th crap - ugh, who wants to wake up to that??  Not me!  Really started my day off on the wrong foot. On the wrong side of the bed. Lucky I didn't clip my nails, today... ugh!!  Are you as steeped in superstitions as I am?? Bleh!  Most of my superstitions come from my Mother - and I have taken great care not to pass them down to my own children - they can go ahead and cut their nails on a Friday if they want to - and I'm pretty sure Jesus is gonna be cool with it.. it's the Big Things Jesus says no to! lol!  Cutting your nails on a Friday, and then add Friday the 13th to that - yeah, will prolly be okay! hahaha! (But, errr, aah, I'm not gonna chance it, I'll trim my nails, tomorrow! hahahaha!)

And I happen to LOVE Black Cats - they're so cute, and what a bad rap for these furry little guys - they didn't choose to be black.... sound familiar?? Ugh! I think it's lucky when a black cat walks in front of you - why not? Can't you choose what to believe, yourself, or are you like me, and actively fight all the old notions, all the old superstitions and all the old stereotypes... it's a constant battle for me to switch up my thinking - I canny stand all that old crap.  There are some terrible, terrible old beliefs and sayings, so when people are all, 'oh, the good old days', bleh!  Noo, not the 'good old days' - maybe if you were a wealthy white man, and that's about it, everyone else was suffering along, trying to survive all the discrimination, all the put-downs, the second-class nature of being anything but a wealthy white man.... ugh!  But I digress, as I may  tend to do...

So Friday the 13th is a LUCKY day for me, because I got my divorce on a Friday the 13th, in 1995, and, man, was that ever a hard to divorce to come by - Thank God the courts have changed, now, and I hope to God people can't still be dragged through the horrible process of divorce that they used to be able to do - got an abusive spouse? You can leave, but they can keep you in the court battle for soo many years, is insane. They need to make sure that can't happen, any more, and I really hope there have been some good changes made to the court system since then. You shouldn't be punished for years and years in an archaic court system for marrying a lunatic when you were in your 20's.... you should almost get a Free Pass from those crappy Starter Marriages... but, anyway, so that's the day that Friday the 13th became a super-lucky day for me - the day my divorce came though... Thank God for that. Is bizarre to think that the person you once married suddenly becomes your worst enemy - crazy. I mean, those ex's are CRAZY, not like crazy like a fox, that is not fair to all the cure foxes - just Crazy, like, full-out Crazy.... yuck!  Who needs it?  No one. I say, Lose the Crazy, your life will be sooo much better! lol! 

So don't walk under a ladder, because it's soo stooopid to walk under a ladder - maybe they HAD to say it was unlucky to walk under a ladder because otherwise, too many idiots were getting boinked on the head from their own insane stupidity... hahaha!  Makes me laugh, thinking of some total mowon, duh, duh, duh, uuuhh, think I'll walk right under this ladder, see what happens... most 'unlucky' things are common sense - like the don't step on a crack, you'll break your mother's back - man, do you know the lengths I used to go as a kid to never, ever, step on a crack?? hahahaah! I must'a looked like a looney, trying to miss all the cracks, except that everyone I knew was doing the same thing - we were all steeped in those crazy old superstitions! hahaha! 

Okay, Happy Friday the 13th!  Go buy a lottery ticket, see if you can Get Lucky, today! Change it all up, make your OWN superstitions, but make lovely, nice superstitions, step on a crack, win a million bucks - why couldn't I have learned THAT one??? hahaha!  I wouldda been steeping on EVERY crack, to win a million bucks! hahahaha! You know what's soo weird?? I made this lovely Get Lucky page at the beginning of the summer, and I loved my new Get Lucky page, all full of lovely things to help you Get Lucky, too, then I wrote about Big Brother, popped into my Get Lucky page to grab an ad, right, and POOF, my whole Get Lucky page disappeared! What??? Scared the hell outta me, so I thought, okay, no more touching my blog until I know for sure what happened - I think it must've been connected to my laptop - an oldie, but sorta a goodie... I was writing on my wee oldie laptop, so that must have caused the problem - but now I'm on my normal computer, so, hopefully, we're all back to normal! Hope so, because I really, really want to write about my fave show, 'Til Debt Do Us Part, with Gail Vaz-Oxlade... I looove Gail Vaz-Oxlade - and I particularly love when she goes to the door of the people she's there to help, and immediately says, Hello, I'm Gail Vaz-Oxlade - after all these years on TV, I love that she introduces herself with her whole name - I just loove that! So cute! But I'll talk about Gail Vaz-Oxlade, later... today I want to put my fave Get Lucky page back up - oh, and speaking of 'back up', I am gonna HAVE to back up my work, because that's really scary to see your work disappear before your very eyes, and have no recourse to get it back...

So, back to Getting Lucky, right?? lol!  I love everything that has to do with Luck...I even just started my own little 'casino' page on my main website, www.buildyourownhouse.ca - and I really hope I get super-lucky with my new online gaming page.. I jus' want a liiiitle bit o' dat internet pie! lol!  Doesn't everyone?? I gotta figure out how we can ALL get in on this - there just has to be a way for us all to be filthy rich, right?? hahaha!

Okay, here's something funny - I was in the middle of writing (or re-writing, since my first version 'disappeared' - aargh!), when a 'bar opportunity', which I, of course, took! lol!  Then by the time I got home, writing was the last thing on my mind! lol! 

Oh, man, I wish I could recover my old page... so frustrating... that's the big difference between my main site, www.buildyourownhouse.ca  and my blog, http://buildyourownhousebodylife.blogspot.com. You think you have complete control over your blog, but, really, it's like rental space you don't pay for...sooo, will have to think about how I can convert my blog over to another regular site...

A Drooling Boar -- hey, didn't I used to go out with this guy?? hahaha!

This hilarious Drooling Boar is at Butchart Gardens, and, of course, I make the same joke every time I see it - breaks me up every single time! lol! But, today, we saw a lot of people rubbing the Boar's nose, so it must be a lucky thing - have got to find out! I rubbed the boar's nose, too - I could use all the luck I can get, right now, fer sures! lol! 

I was just looking up the 'lucky boar' thing, and it looks like this is a famous sculpture, since there are identical boar sculptures at varying places around the world, most famously in Florence, and they say that if you rub the boar's nose, and possible put a coin in it's mouth, you'll be lucky and be able to go back to Florence, so if you rub the boar's nose at Butchart Gardens, just outside of Victoria, BC, Canada, does that mean you'll be lucky and come back to Victoria, BC?? lol!  It does feel lucky to be in Victoria., BC!!

Go ahead and give this boar's nose a wee rub, see if something lucky happens for you - is worth a shot, right?? lol!

I am obsessed, and I mean obsessed, with 4 Leaf Clovers! lol!  I love them. I adore them.  If I see a batch of clovers, I am compelled to go over and peruse the patch, so-to-speak, until I find one!  Soo funny!  I've been like this since I was really little, and I sometimes like to collect an odd number of them depending on how much leisure time I have while I'm looking for Four Leaf Clovers! lol!), so if I have 3 four leaf clovers, or 5 four leaf clovers... when we lived in Calgary, for some reason or another, we had sooo many 4-leaf clover patches on our acreage, I'd come in the house with 11 four leaf clovers at a time... oh, yes, can you imagine the level of luck, that day??? hahahaha! (I kidding!  Not much gettin' lucky back in those days! lol!)

I thought this particular Four Leaf Clover was really pretty -- I just found it when I was out for a walk in the morning, yesterday... is very peaceful and pretty down at the Bay, first thing in the morning.  (That's the Bay of Quinte in the background! lol!)  Oh, and I see a wee duck made his way into the picture, too! haha!  Those ducks, always tryin' to steal the spotlight! lol! : )
