Quick aside from me, Ailsa, the Author of this site, http://www.buildyourownhouse.ca/ and http://buildyourownhousebodylife.blogspot.com/ -- I had a Reading over the phone with Rose Marcus a while back, and it was amazing. Frankly, I'd rather put my money into a great psychic reading than a whole lot of Therapy (unless it's really good therapy, but more on that later...). Anyway, it was a great Reading, and put a lot of things into perspective for me. Very clarifying! If you want to give that a try, just use Rose's email address to set up an appointment, if you like. Oh, and then let me know how it goes! :)

NOVEMBER FORECAST: http://rosemarcus.com/astrolink/rose-on-guiding-stars-ea-radio/ My deepest sympathies and prayers go out to all those suffering through Hurricane Sandy and tragedy elsewhere. Life is precious. We need to honour it more, live it more, give it more, love more, every minute we can. Tragedy should not be followed by more tragedy. Let’s be good to one another. The world needs more heroes. ~~ November’s Overview: Just after the voting polls closed on Nov 7, 2000, Mercury entered a station phase that would end its retrograde cycle. The hanging chad malfunction in Florida resulted in Al Gore losing the white house bid to GW Bush. Wikipedia states that had there been a state-wide rather than partial recount, Gore would have won. Doesn’t it make you wonder how different history – and today’s reality - would have been? Beginning rather than ending retrograde this time around, Mercury in Sagittarius will already be in its station phase when the voting polls open on Nov 6, 2012. Retrograde will actually start at 3:04 pm PST. Romney has gathered a much better momentum since Jupiter turned retrograde at last month’s start. Despite the neck and neck race, as I write, the news reports that early voters and Ohio are favouring Obama. Will these early votes be trend setting? It was encouraging to see Obama himself cast an early vote. He did this on the sun/Saturn conjunction of Oct 25. It was a good transit to pick. Has it cemented his fate? With Mercury stationing retrograde on Nov 6, you can bet that something will go amiss. Similar to the 2000 election, perhaps it will be another electronic technology malfunction, but of course when the trickster is on his game, any number of things can set us back. (I had written this month’s intro before Frankenstorm and Hurricane Sandy bashed the US and Canadian east coast. Remember that pre the retrograde cycle Mercury moves into its shadow or set-up phase. The extreme weather has impacted the US candidate’s campaigns and shut down not only New York and Wall Street, but also early voting polls. Considering all that’s already happened, what more could we expect? There’s likely to be an aftermath fall-out of some kind. Could Mercury’s retrograde turn on Nov 6 prove to be somewhat redundant or inconsequential? There’s always guesswork, uncertainty and repeats with this cycle. Although it’s a completely different set of circumstances, Obama’s last election experience was also sandwiched by more urgent circumstances. As it begins retrograde on Nov 6, Mercury pulls away from a building trine aspect to Uranus and a building square aspect with Chiron. This can create an “almost, but not quite” experience – as if destiny is pulling the strings for a reason. No matter what the feel, it may be viewed later an opportunity in disguise moment. Mercury’s full circle will complete by the Winter Solstice. This is when Mercury will regain the ground it turn away from on Nov 13. In the process, it will surpass squares to Neptune and Chiron, and finally perfect a trine aspect to Uranus. By the way, Mitt, a Pisces, was born with Mercury in retrograde and in Pisces too. Different than the transit, when one is born with Mercury retrograde, it suggests the soul has specific information/learning it wants to gather/repeat. Consider it like a scavenger hunt. The soul programs a specific karmic checklist and will spend the lifetime finding the key items (experiences, relationships) that will support and accelerate evolution. Obviously, this election constitutes a major fulcrum regarding Mitt’s bigger picture destiny. Also of peak karmic implication, but structured in vastly different fashion, Obama now experiences his Chiron return, a key life cycle that spans 50 years. Consider this like a re-briefing of the original soul intention coming into this life - like a special destiny reboot. The Scorpio solar eclipse on Nov 13 is also super moon too, which means it is of stronger than usual influence. We have been working under this eclipse more actively since the end of September and its influence will continue to stay at peak until the beginning of December. As stated in previous columns, solar eclipses are event generating and serve as acceleration catalysts. They spark significant passages and milestones, notable births and deaths, extreme geophysical occurrences, and other major outer world events. This super new moon eclipse in Scorpio is sure to unleash the undercurrents that have already been on brew but that have escaped full awareness. We can witness power-shifts, power-bids, and power-grids on the rise or on the fall. From the sacred, to the corrupt, and scandalous, the Scorpio archetype is one of empowerment, rebirth, and resurrection, or of undermining and destructiveness. We can be exposed to any of the array of Scorpio’s subject matters. Headline news continues its brisk reporting on today’s ticking bombs. (Speaking of that which has escaped full awareness, dear Canada - please read what Elizabeth May has to say about Stephen Harper and the Canada-China Investment Treaty: http://www.greenparty.ca/stop-the-sellout. ) The solar eclipse forms an opposition to the trans-Neptunian body, Sedna, the Inuit Goddess of the Arctic Ocean. It was so named because it was the coldest and most distant object in the solar system discovered. We might expect this eclipse/Sedna alignment to mine, fish, thaw-out, and/or resurrect something that’s been frozen, buried, or sitting on ice; to source from something that’s been held captive or that’s reigned supreme in some remote region of our emotions, psyche, soul, or actual reality. Remember that eclipses continue to have influence over an extended duration of time, months or years. While scientists are alarmed at the rate of the ice melt in the north and the release of methane gases that will accelerate the hot-house effect of global warming, governments and opportunists are relishing the prospect of the harvest. Adding to the Nov 13 solar eclipse intensity, Mercury retrograde backtracks into Scorpio. Before it does so, it will form a dynamic tension (square) aspect with Neptune. A powerful unleashing can take us by surprise. Confusion, uncertainty, and chaos can run rampant. Watch money markets, the weather, for other major storms, acts of aggression, and power agendas to surge. Mercury/Neptune can idealize, romanticize, or distort the facts; it can keep the propaganda machine going strong. With these two in dynamic tension during the super moon eclipse, powerful hidden forces stir from within. We have a greater tendency to see what we want to see, rather than what is. This planetary aspect can be also be one of infiltration, emotional outpouring, added vulnerability, epidemics, lack of immunity, secrecy or secrets revealed, hidden threats, a surprise attack, disillusionment, or loss. Mercury first squared Neptune on Oct 28 when Frankenstorm was pummelling the eastern coast of Canada and the USA. Following Nov 13, the Mercury/Neptune final alignment happens on Dec 11. Mercury in Scorpio will continue in retrograde to November 26. It is an ideal transit for digging deeper, for soul searching, and for getting back in touch with your own bottom lines. What is it that touches you at your core? What/who motivates you now? Is it/are they a healthy obsession? Does passion drive you, or is it extinguished? If the latter, what can you do to stoke it again? Do you have a basic strategy worked out for yourself? If not, it’s time start thinking about one. As is typical of the retrograde cycle, things can breakdown, expenses can add up, time can be lost, work and relationship problems arise, health needs tending. Mercury retrograde in Scorpio compels us to revisit matters to do with finances, intimacy needs, trust, destructiveness, security, addictions, and compulsions. Any time Scorpio is energized, we find ourselves confronted with critical choices. Venus trine Neptune and moon trine sun on Nov 22, can make for an especially poignant give thanks holiday for folks in the US. An Aries moon forming dynamic aspects to Uranus/Pluto on Black Friday can make for a brisk and competitive shopping day. Tempers are short and quickly sparked. Choose your battles wisely. Both the Nov 7 super moon solar eclipse and the Nov 28 lunar eclipse hold jurisdiction over the US presidential election. No matter who wins, the end of Mercury retrograde and Venus/Saturn new phase on Nov 26, and Mars in new phase to Pluto on Nov 27, suggests a new program/new reality is underway for all. Mars starts the month in Sagittarius, (the campaign, the crusade, the vision, the search for truth), and advances into Capricorn, the sign of its exaltation, on Nov 16. Mars in Sagittarius increases the scope/makes everything bigger; Mars in Capricorn builds it better. Mars in Capricorn is an influence of executive command, good self control, dedicated effort, and for forging ahead to something of significance. It is also a signature for the military, for authority’s dictates and for a sharpening of the system or its rules. For the entire month Mars travels out of bounds in south declination, which gives Mars more punch to karmic replay, to reward and/or consequences, and to push come to shove/get the job done. For the collective and for our personal lives too, Mars and Pluto begin construction on a new two-year, push-it- forward agenda.

Nov 23 to 28 sets a new reality into play. Consider the combination of Mercury retrograde’s end, Venus/Saturn, Mars/Pluto, and the lunar eclipse as paving the way to planetary ground zero. Hopefully from this vantage point we’ll gain a more solid understanding how to build it better….much better.

ARIES (March 21- April 19) Your month is likely to start on a busy social note, thanks to Venus in Libra. A special event or something out of the blue keeps the good buzz going strong. Mercury and Mars in Sagittarius put hope, luck, zeal, and possibility on an upswing. Every thing’s in flight in this first week or so – you may be too. Mercury in Sagittarius begins retrograde on November 6, so allow extra flexibility and time margins, and don’t bank on promises prematurely. It’s easy to get carried away, to hold to overly high expectations, go off on the wrong tangent, to get on to a righteous wagon, or to make more out of something than is warranted. Make sure to look more closely at all sides of an issue or challenge, etc. Don’t inflate, exaggerate, overshoot, or overspend, it could come back to bite you later. Here’s a short list of possible matters to occupy you during the retrograde: publishing, advertising, marketing, teachers, teaching or coaching, performance, travel, legalities, the future, distance learning, foreign matters, long distance relationships or communications, buying or selling. The Scorpio solar eclipse super moon on Nov 13 will be felt more strongly if it makes direct contact to your chart, but of course we’ll all feel the intensity, especially in matters to do with finances, taxes, inheritances, banking, loans, etc. This eclipse can target intimate or close knit relationships matters too. Abandonment and trust issues can arise. A relationship that is not meant to survive will most likely bite the dust. The carpet could suddenly get pulled re an income source too. Mercury in square to Neptune on the eclipse suggests there can be blind-spots, illusions, deception, and loss can to contend with. On the other hand, creativity, romance, or spirituality runs a stronger than usual current too. The no-turning-back lunar eclipse full moon on November 28 can settle a score and/or bring an official end to something that’s been in the works for a long time. Something you hear, read, say, do, or buy could be pivotal. There can be news, negotiations, bare-all talks, or papers to sign. Occurring in Gemini, you could find yourself juggling a number of things or people at the same time. Also watch for matters to do with transportation, the neighbourhood or community, event planning, education, paperwork, writing projects, media involvement, friends, siblings, or agents. A new professional undertaking or personal-life status locks-in the coordinates for your redefined future.

TAURUS (April 20 -May 20) Start of the month can open things up, perhaps unexpected so. Venus can put more work or challenge on your plate. Positively Venus can bring a better work opportunity or pay cheque, improved teamwork, or give and take. Don’t feel you are making enough progress with work, health or a personal struggle? This month’s stars will set up the necessary conditions that will move you along. Once Mercury turns retrograde, the financial pressure, debt load can grow. Also, you can be faced with the stark reality of how entrenched you are and how much you need the cooperation or support of others. This is in direct conflict with your growing restless and need for more freedom or self autonomy. At the same time, others can become less available, more distant, or simply too busy to provide what you need or expect. Too, Mercury retrograde can force you to increase your output, but for the same returns or less. The main issue can be a matter of not getting what you want when you want it and how you want it. Mercury retrograde also puts your radar on high alert. Pay close attention to your feelings and fleeting impressions. As of the Nov 13 eclipse, Mercury will back into Scorpio, to finish out the retrograde in this sign. Mercury in Scorpio suggests its do or die/push the envelope time. The eclipse can be especially catalytic for relationships, legal matters, contract agreements, or your public profile if you are born May 12 or 13, give or take a day or two. If you have been blind-sided or taken a direct hit from the eclipse and Mercury retrograde, look to Mars in Capricorn, starting Nov 17, to help you get back in the saddle again. This Mars placement gives you more cause to carry on, and to fight for what you know you deserve and should have. Along with Venus in Scorpio, starting Nov 21, you should find yourself getting sharper, shrewder, and more confident in your resources. Your choices and options become even clearer cut. Mercury ends retrograde on November 26, Mars and Pluto begin a new cycle on Nov 27, and the lunar eclipse in Gemini occurs on Nov 28. If it wasn’t finished or resolved earlier in the month, this lunar eclipse can drive it home. It is a time to finalize plans, financial transactions, contracts and educational matters, to present proposals, put in bids, to negotiate new contract or banking terms, define partnership expectations or responsibilities, to seek professional advice, treatment, or a second opinion, to say goodbye or hello.

GEMINI (May 21-June 21) You can find yourself making good personal headway and interesting social inroads in this first week of November. To Nov 16 Mars in Sagittarius keeps you out there and going strong. You’ll run around and get around even more than you usually do. True to a typical Mercury retrograde cycle, you can to expect to hit a relationship backtrack, and/or to revisit an issue you have already crossed off your list. You’ll bump into people you know more frequently. Visitors of special note can come and go too. The retrograde cycle can give you a chance to pick it up where you left off from last time. You could get a second wind for something you started previously but didn’t follow through on back then. Typically when this happens, you’ll play with it for awhile, but usually there’s a reason that it still doesn’t take hold. Of course, there can be exceptions to the rule. Even so, try to not to get too excited or to over-invest until you’ve given it the test of time. Mercury backtracks into Scorpio on the solar eclipse of Nov 13. Work, work relationships, and office politics can grow more complex, perhaps you’ll use the word toxic. Unwittingly, you can find yourself in a compromised position. Secrets and stories can get more convoluted. Who do you/should you trust? Among your peers or the powers that be, the web of lies or deceit can grow and unravel. You can get to the point where you aren’t sure of much of anything. In addition to work and training programs, this eclipse could also produce something major to do with health or financial matters. The problem may not be yours, but it can affect you indirectly. (I.e. if the company is having problems, it could result in reduced hours, a lay off, or a delayed pay cheque. Labour strikes are a common occurrence during Mercury retrograde.) Again, remember that the eclipse is only of dynamic influence if it makes direct contact on your chart. Mars in Capricorn, starting Nov 16, calls for you to tighten up on finances and to get a better handle on personal organization and other pressing priorities. Venus in Scorpio increases the pressure on your day to day requirements. The stars are on a building intensity from Nov 23 through to the lunar eclipse on Nov 28. If it is ready to snap/blow, it probably will. This lunar eclipse is especially influential for those born around May 27, but of course it will be of influence for us all. A key word spoken, an impulsive move, flash of inspiration, conversation, or negotiation could be the start of something major. Positively it can provide a significant window of opportunity. Seize your moment!

CANCER (June 22-July 22) The start of Mercury retrograde is a testing time. It can seem overwhelming, especially if you have bitten off more than you can chew, or you’ve been thrust into a brand new workload, learning curve, debt pile, or health challenge. As Mercury retrograde backs out of Sagittarius and into Scorpio on Nov 6, you could start to question whether you have the courage or talent to carry on, whether you really want what you’ve been aiming for or vocalizing all this time. The super moon solar eclipse on Nov 13 is in a powerful, perhaps even life-altering, position for your sign. You’ll feel the strongest effects if you are born July 13-15 or close by those dates. The eclipse is a milestone catalyst for matters to do with your profession, business, art, creativity, love life, and children. Affecting your money, love life, career, children or a cherished personal goal, the lunar eclipse on Nov 28 can unlock your new reality. Embrace your future; don’t stay tethered to your past.

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22) Mercury retrograde keeps you searching for ways to increase your comfort margins and to get a better handle on directing your future, rather than to let it be dictated to you. This may require that you consider options you thought were too far out of reach or too complicated to add to your existing program. Or it may require you come up with something completely new for yourself. The solar eclipse can be a major catalyst for home, real estate, renovation projects, and family matters. It is suggestive of a major personal milestone, or one for a particular family member. It can set a new financial bottom line in place. For some, it can be time to consider bankruptcy. For others it can be a power-play time for resurrecting yourself financially. Matters to do with the past, your ancestry/ancestral home can also take centre stage. This eclipse can signal an ideal time to start your own business or to make a major investment. By the same token, perhaps the eclipse will prompt you to shut down and start over again. This eclipse, and Mercury retrograde, can make you take a much deeper look inside. Addictions, self sabotaging, undermining relationships, or a polluted home environment can no longer be tolerated. Whether you’ve planned, or it takes you by surprise, look to the full moon eclipse on Nov 28 to get you to a fresh start line. Of course, before you reach it, there’s a finish line to cross. Regarding work, health, or your desired turnaround, Mars/Pluto suggests you need to get fully committed and to tackle it hard if you want to see the results you know are waiting to be had. No matter what monumental task you may face, there’s not a minute left to waste.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22) Mercury retrograde can keep you wondering what it would be like to be somebody else. You can find your head is in one place, while your heart and body are elsewhere. While running away could also be in your thinking, if that’s not a real prospect, perhaps there’s an opportunity for travel or getting out and around more. Visitors can come and go; a roommate or family member can too. Mercury retrograde can make you more distracted or absent minded, so plan to keep a more alert watch on your keys, glasses, papers, payment deadlines, etc. Also, try not to overspend. You could have a tendency to rationalize an extravagance as a necessity. Don’t kid yourself. As of the solar eclipse on Nov 13, Mercury retrograde will back in Scorpio. This switch can drastically change your line of thinking or reasoning. Know that you’ll be more sensitized to environments and people. You’ll pick up more than is spoken through their body language and nuances. By the same token, your vibes/physical presence will speak volumes too. You can be directly or indirectly impacted by others. The eclipse can put an added spotlight on a friend or sibling. They can go through something intense, or your relationship can change with them in some major way. The eclipse can also bring up issues of trust, addictions or push your abandonment buttons. As is typical of Mercury retrograde, issues to do with transportation, equipment, and vehicle maintenance can pile on added expense. Consider an overhaul to your marketing and advertising, your social life, your scholastic ambitions. Perhaps it is time to scout for another agent, advisor, bank, or healthcare professional. It can be the right time to sign up for therapy, counselling or a new training program. The sun’s entrance into Sagittarius on Dec 21 through lunar eclipse on Nov 28 packs a lot into a short period of time. The eclipse can show you a glimpse of what’s waiting on the road ahead. This switch-track eclipse can be the catalyst for a major change regarding your career, self employment, education, family, citizenship, an official relationship status or holiday plans. Recognition or an award can be in the works for some. The eclipse can end or start a major relationship. A wedding, special anniversary, or new addition to the family is also within the range of possibilities too.

LIBRA (Sept 22-Oct 22) Venus, continuing in Libra to Nov 21, keeps you going strong. You can make a stronger impact and impression now, so by all means, vie for extra attention and use that Venus to your advantage. Be heard and seen. Your appearance counts. Your body language speaks volumes for you too. Mercury, beginning retrograde in Sagittarius, gives you plenty extra to think about. It seems you have some big decisions to make. Perhaps there’s a major expense to weigh, plans that need to be changed, or the dilemma of what to do next with a key relationship, (friend, sibling, teacher, agent, advisor.) Should you go back to school? Sign up for additional training? Take out another loan? Would another location be a better fit for you? Is it time to part ways? Give yourself extra time to figure it out. It’s never a good idea to make a major commitment or purchase while Mercury is retrograde. Of course if you have to, know that divine order is at work. If possible, try to leave yourself a back-out or back-up plan. A temporary set-up or try-out phase is appropriate for the retrograde cycle. The solar eclipse on Nov 13 can help you to better understand the scope of your present challenges and needs. This eclipse, and Mercury’s dip back into Scorpio, puts it on the line. You may be forced to “bite the bullet” in some way, financially or emotionally. A health matter can require priority attention too. The eclipse in opposition to Sedna can make you face a part of yourself or your life that you didn’t want to accept as a reality. Once you reconcile with this, everything changes. This eclipse could put your life on a complete overhaul. Your new chapter is a compelling one. You’ll know its importance by the way you feel on the inside. On the positive, the eclipse can launch you into an especially fertile and lucrative cycle. It can start you on a new income source. It also prompts added resourcefulness and tenacity, so remember where there’s a will, there is a way – trust you’ll find it. You are likely to discover natural talents and capacities you didn’t know you had. An existing relationship can go through profound change. A new relationship can hit you right to the core of your soul. With Scorpio so emphasized, the relationship can turn into a juicy obsession from the get-go. The days before the lunar eclipse on Nov 28 bring you through an important ending, finalization, or solidification. This eclipse can bring news, an opportunity, an arrival or departure. Expect to surpass a final hurdle, block, or test. It all changes from this point forward. What’s set into play will set the long term into motion.

SCORPIO (Oct 23~Nov 22) As of Nov 6 when Mercury turns retrograde, you are likely to become aware of the fact that you aren’t as far along or as on target as you thought you were. A change of mind, a side-track, distraction, or temporary derailment is typical of the retrograde cycle. Something financial or emotional can hit you hard. If your birthday falls on or near Nov 13, the super moon solar eclipse will be especially impactful. It can be a watermark year ahead, one that can completely revolutionize the course of your life, perhaps unexpectedly or suddenly so. Of course all of us will feel the intensity of this month’s eclipses. How it plays out for you could occur in any number of ways. Remember that this eclipse has already been in effect for the past month or so. Review and you’ll gain a good clue. Mercury retrograde in Scorpio and the solar eclipse can put health on the front burner. It’s a good time to pump up on the vitamins and other good for you routines. If the inkling hits that you should see a professional and/or get a second opinion, by all means do so. The solar eclipse is a super new moon, which suggests it is time of exceptional potent, exceptionally ripe and ready beginnings. If you want to shape up or have demons to face, now’s the time to make the commitment. You’ll have better stick-to-it from here on in. The solar eclipse can bring something totally unexpected too. While Mercury travels retrograde in your sign, you are gifted with an extended time to look both ways before crossing the street, and to make sure your batteries are fully recharged. This review or search searching time will help you to gather up enough momentum to tackle that fresh or brand-new start. You know you can do anything you set your mind to. Use this super new moon eclipse and the time-is-come lunar eclipse on Nov 28 to get the show on the road. A friendship, association, mentor relationship, professional matter, legal matter, lifestyle, or important contract can terminate or begin. The lunar eclipse can launch or change an official status, or a more authoritative or responsible position (re personal or professional life). It could bring you important recognition.

SAGITTARIUS (NOV 22~DEC21) Mars in Sagittarius continues to fuel you through Nov 16. Although you should find you have enough energy to carry you the distance, it is still wise to keep tabs on yourself and to stay balanced re health regimes and reasonable limits. Once Mercury turns retrograde in Sagittarius (Nov 6), it can knock some of the wind out of your sails. The solar eclipse on Nov 13 can expose a critical blind-spot. You may have sensed and felt something major was on brew but have downplayed or altogether ignored it. Once the eclipse hits, and the secrets are out, you can’t sweep it under the rug. On the other hand, the eclipse can reveal a hidden opportunity or advantage. Pounce on it. It could be the start of something quite lucrative or potent. The eclipse can signal a major break through and is staging in so many critical and life altering ways. You can come to important realizations and discoveries. It is an inception point for so much more to come. In fact, it can be a pregnancy indicator for some. For others, this eclipse can lead you onto a path of service or introduce you to your ultimate other. If life explodes on you unexpectedly, give yourself extra time to let the dust settle before you stir the pot again. Remember, this eclipse will only be of major influence if it directly impacts your chart. For some, the eclipse can come and go with little notice beyond the usual Mercury retrograde annoyances. Nov 21 to Nov 28 is the second highpoint of the month. Venus goes underground in Scorpio shortly after the sun enters Sagittarius. The end of Mercury retrograde on Nov 26 is accompanied by Venus/Saturn finishing off and starting anew. Mars does the same with Pluto on Nov 27 and the lunar eclipse occurs on Nov 28. By the time you get through all these definitive planetary aspects, it should remove all lingering doubt or questions. Regarding an investment of money, heart, or time, Mars/Pluto suggests you should buckle yourself in for the long haul. Whatever launches now will be of major importance for some time to come.

CAPRICORN (Dec 22~Jan 19) Mercury begins retrograde out of Capricorn’s sight, but it can wreak havoc all the same. Make sure not to overlook the subtle hints you get from others - or from your own intuition. Either could be showing you the tip of the iceberg. The solar eclipse of Nov 13 can blow it wide open for you. A sudden insight, second look/chance, or unexpected exchange can be the “it” moment. The impact can be jarring or liberating. It can utterly transform your lifestyle, your financial picture, your love life or career prospects. Whatever happens, you can’t sit on the fence with this one - it’s all or nothing, power-play time. It’s up to you to turn the moment into gold. Hopefully you’ll see/understand the opportunity for what it is worth. Mercury retrograde dips back into Scorpio from Nov 13 and finishes retrograde on Nov 26. This back track is sure to bring unexpected reconnections. Something you thought you had laid to rest can come back for one more round. Keep exploring but don’t finalize or commit until the lunar eclipse on Nov 28 gives you the final go-ahead signal. Solidly in your corner, Mars tenants Capricorn, Nov 16 to Dec 25. This Mars placement will help you to keep striving and pushing forward while also maintaining your cool. Nov 23, Mars begins to make better stride. Nov 26, Venus and Saturn have done enough evaluation and are now ready to cement a new deal. By Nov 27, Mars/Pluto will begin their new two year agenda. This is an empowering time for you. Don’t hold yourself back. Your future awaits you, take the ride.

AQUARIUS (Jan 20~Feb 18) Whether it’s planned or serendipitous, Mercury retrograde is sure to put you back in touch with folks. While that can be entertaining, both Mars and Mercury retrograde in Sagittarius find you keen to reinvent your social life and/or to make a significant lifestyle move. You may feel that you have outgrown your old friends or current social network. Too, you can find that a community involvement, career goal, or personal interest that you used to feel quite pumped about, may no longer hold the same appeal. A battery recharge can do you a world of good. Keep looking around, more and better is out there for you. With or without Mercury retrograde, life continues to deliver one thing after another. The solar eclipse super moon on Nov 13 can put surmountable pressure on you and/or hold you to accountability. It can prove to be the career, financial, or personal prompt you have been waiting for. Yes, its time to completely reinvent the wheel. The solar eclipse puts the spotlight on dealings with an authority, financial ambitions, debt management, and legal matters. Life may be one of choice, or you could find yourself backed into a corner. Either way, it now becomes necessary to take charge and/or assume command in some feature way. Directly or indirectly, someone of significant influence can be particularly influential in directing the course of your life. For example someone may step down from a management position, in which case you will either have a new person to answer to, or you may be asked to step into the role yourself. Too, major restructuring within the company, bank, or legal system can have a significant impact on you. This eclipse suggests that you can’t sweep it under the carpet, or get away with things, so make sure you do what’s legally and morally correct. When Mercury is retrograde, things can come back to bite you – and of course we know that never feels good. The eclipse will make a direct hit on your chart if you were born on or around Feb 11. If so, you can face a commitment dilemma. Perhaps you no longer want what you originally did. Perhaps the writing on the wall becomes impossible to ignore. The eclipse is a new moon, which is exceptionally favourable for reformatting your life from the ground floor up. For some, the eclipse can pull a sudden rug, for others, it’s one of taking charge of your destiny. For some, eclipse can produce a profound or remarkable experience, i.e. a transition, passage, or milestone of note. Too, it can reconnect you to a birth parent, a missing or absentee person, a lost love from another time and place, a profound spiritual healer or mentor, etc. Mercury ends retrograde on Nov 26, just two days before the lunar eclipse in Gemini on Nov 28. The energy of this eclipse can be felt as early as Nov 23. Nov 26, Venus completing on Saturn bring a finishing stage or finish line while at the same time they are also on task cementing a new reality. This planetary pairing can end or begin a professional, financial, or karmic contract. On Nov 27, Mars completing on Pluto also ends this past two year reformatting project and begins construction on the next frame-building phase. The lunar eclipse on Nov 28 can bring news, answers, results, a visitor, an event to attend, an exceptional opportunity or an important piece of information to light. When the right time and place moment arrives, embrace it for all its worth. The lunar eclipse enhances career, education and creative potentials, travel, publishing, public or media profile, art endeavors, luck, fame, and love prospects.

PISCES (Feb 19~March 20) What direction do you want your life to take now? Do you still want what you have? Mercury retrograde can keep you steeped in a critical reassessment of ambitions, priorities, and obligations. A major career or personal life redirection seems to be in the works. Perhaps your choices are already decided by circumstance and/or the influence of someone in particular (a family member, an official, boss or other authority figure.) For now the best you can do is to give yourself ample latitude and to meet each day one at a time. The solar eclipse on Nov 13 delivers an especially opportune fresh start momentum if your birthday falls on or near March 12. (That’s Mitt Romney’s birthday.) All things considered, the eclipse in trine to Pallas Athene suggests that circumstances are rolling along as they should and that you have a natural talent for extracting the best the moment has to offer. A new strategy/new lifestyle can fit like a glove and that most things come together for you readily and well. As is typical, Mercury retrograde can find you revisiting places, and faces. Too, you could resume an ambition, plan or relationship you didn't expect would come your way again. A complete change of heart, mind, plans, or interest level can occur too. By all means, explore your options, but keep open-ended and as flexible as possible until the retrograde is over. If things feel too overwhelming, look to Mars in Capricorn, beginning Nov 16, and Venus in Scorpio, starting on Nov 21, to help you get a better handle on it all. On the same day that Mercury retrograde ends, Venus completes the relationship, manifestation, and financial timetable that was begun in Aug of 2010. (Mars did the same last August.) What lives on, what terminates, what transforms? Venus and Saturn now move into the next phase, and on Nov 27, Mars and Pluto do the same. On Nov 28, the lunar eclipse brings the dividing line between yesterday and tomorrow to a critical peak. A new address can be in the works for some. For all, the Nov eclipses are programmed to fast forward you into your awaiting future.

ROSE MARCUS - MONTHLY ASTROLINK

October Forecast Overview:
October Forecast Overview:
In the first week of October, Venus, Mercury, Mars, and Saturn change signs, and Jupiter stations retrograde.

While the Canada/US auto workers were able to hash out a first deal as Pluto stationed direct and Uranus squared Pluto in mid September, the NHL and the NHLP were not able to do the same. There are plenty of planetary stimulants this month, so let’s stay positive for a break in the ice with our current stand-offs. Better progress can be made around the new moon in Libra (Oct 15) or the beginning of Scorpio month (Oct 22 – 25).

Among the notable headlines from September’s sharp-edged Uranus square Pluto alignment: Kate Middleton’s violating photos, the senseless death and destruction over a ridiculous film mocking the Islamic prophet Mohammed, Canada’s embassy closure in Iran, and a leaked video of Mitt Romney putting hoof in mouth yet again. This razor-cut alignment seems to have played Mitt Romney’s last poker chip. Since then, the media reports that Obama’s voter margin has been widening. Of course, anything could happen between now and the Nov 6 Mercury retrograde election day. (I’ve made mentioned of the election in my published weekly (Sept 27 –Oct 3) column, for the Georgia Straight: http://www.straight.com/content/lifestyle/astrology). Another recent headline: prompted by the Aries full moon on Sept 29, a re-stimulation for the Uranus/Pluto transit, Omar Khdar the last Western detainee at Guantanamo Bay was finally shipped back to Canada.

Venus in Virgo, Oct 2 to 28, is a humbling, healing, corrective, detail and service-oriented influence. While Venus is in Virgo, we have to work harder for our dollars and our dollars have to work harder for us too. More applied effort is also required to get emotional needs met. Venus desires to fix, improve, and heal. Consider it as good intention setting by the gods. Can we mere mortals follow good suit? Look past the first week of October to get onto a better generating track.
The first presidential debate between Obama and Romney will be televised on Oct 3.  Let’s hope the candidates shy away from the Venus in Virgo finger pointing and stay on the service-to-society point. The rest of the debates will take place on Oct 11, 16 (VP’s), and 22.

Due to its yearly retrograde which begins on Oct 4, Jupiter in Gemini will continue to stimulate the sensitive degrees of the destiny shaping Venus transit we had in June. Now through the middle of November, Jupiter adds another critical piece of script to the karmic storyboard. Watch for destiny’s hand, déjà vu, or a repeating theme to make a defining impact on the here and now, and also on shape of things to come. Make no mistake about it - a bigger picture design is under active construction through the end of the year.

Jupiter is considered in its detriment in Gemini, which means that it is not well suited to this sign. It has a propensity to scatter too far and wide, to get distracted by too much data, too many opinions, perspectives, and variables, to make too much of the trivial and to miss the target on the bigger ticket item. Once the retrograde cycle begins, Jupiter will “lift and separate”. The gift of Jupiter retrograde is that it is programmed to key into the specific access code that will grant passage into our awaiting future.

Mercury and Saturn conjoin at 29 Libra before both trek into Scorpio on Oct 5. Two planets meeting in the culminating degree of any sign are suggestive of a major karmic threshold crossing, and of potent seeding for what is to come. Mercury/Saturn is a manifesting, paving, crystallizing and/or cementing influence. It is one of key talks, business transactions, negotiations, legal matters, and contracts. We have just moved through a one year information gathering, introductory, testing ground, and/or time extension cycle. If you stop to reflect, you’ll see that during this time a particular relationship, circumstance, or ambition has been given a little more time to ripen and mature, or its been given one last chance prove whether or not there’s merit in continuing on. The karmic undertones, implications, and replays have likely not gone unnoticed.

Mercury and Saturn advance into Scorpio on Oct 5 and begin their next script. This is a much thicker, nitty-gritty plot read. From here, the scope, psychology, rationale, and strategy changes. We’ll source from deeper and more potent undercurrents.

Mercury’s transit through Scorpio brings the immediacy of moment to our attention, while Saturn sets the long term agenda into play. To October 28, Mercury keeps our radar on alert. In Scorpio, Mercury is shrewd, strategic, investigative, penetrating, and sometimes retaliating. The transit brings issues of mistrust, suspicion, and betrayal to the surface. There are secrets to keep and secrets to uncover. While Mercury tenants Scorpio, the pursuit can be come obsessive, and the onslaught, relentless.

Through October, Saturn in Scorpio engages in a water grand trine with Ceres in Cancer, Neptune and Chiron in Pisces. Saturn is both facilitated and made more pliable by this alignment. A grand trine in water allows for the creative flow for what is already in motion. With Neptune’s engagement, a wide range of potentials can come into being.

Saturn/Neptune will build a framework from whatever emotional viewpoint holds the highest watermark. Do we build from an ideal or a dream, or from fear, suspicion, mistrust, etc.? While Saturn is the planet that correlates to boundaries, containment, and repression, its involvement here allows for an open exchange among the planets involved. Positively Saturn in Scorpio trine Neptune can break down barriers and help us to manifest the vision, to reach for what was previously unavailable or unattainable.

On the other hand, the transit can create a swelling, outpouring, or unleashing of that which so far has been held in check. Saturn/Neptune can seep, infiltrate, or penetrate. It can create more vulnerability and exposure. As the tides of mass consciousness, victimization, and disillusionment stir, civil unrest, fear, and pandemonium can surge.  With Ceres in Cancer tossed into the grand trine mix, issues to do with water and food, nourishment, nurturance and health become a more growing concern. Preservation, production, quality, purification, epidemics, and scarcity are certainly topics covered in the news. At the time of this writing, there is a major E-Coli threat that has compromised the beef industry in Canada and the US. A hike in feed prices due to a US summer draught has pig farmers slaughtering their live-stock in order to avoid economic ruin.

Saturn in Scorpio trine Neptune creates added vulnerability for governments, governing bodies, authority, and authority figures. Security leaks and scandals occur with higher frequency. Protect your passwords, your secrets, and your health. The pope is currently embroiled in a security scandal. After wooing Chinese business, Canada faces the dilemma of whether or not to allow the Chinese government to buy an oil company in Alberta, which potentially allows them surveillance access. Obama has just nixed several deals with China because of this issue. A major organized crime investigation is underway in Montreal, involving pay-offs from the construction industry to the Mafia and the Mayor’s office. And the list goes on.

Saturn in Scorpio is an influence that dries up resources, but on the other hand it is also one that holds hidden reserves. It can be an empowering and transformative influence, especially for those who have the courage to call the spade by its name, and to lay it on the line for a better day’s dawn.

Through 2015, Saturn in Scorpio calls for a complete overhaul of our acceptance of business as usual. When Scorpio is featured, we are confronted with critical choice making. Will we, as a collective, continue to betrayal ourselves and sabotage our own survival? Saturn in Scorpio turns our attention to the critical realities and priorities of the day. The system is failing, how do we transform it? How do we regenerate abundance on the planet?  Do we trust one another? Can we trust Iran; can we stop them from their nuclear production? Can we stop Syria, or any other regime? How can we prevent crime, corruption, and tragedy? We can already see a sense of urgency growing re staking a piece of the mining, manufacturing, and resources pie, especially regarding oil, oil sands, oil production. Is there also a sense of urgency regarding saving the planet or the quality of human life? By 2015 scientists report that there will be no ice in the Arctic during the summer. The methane gas that will be released because of this climate change will rival anything that man has produced so far.

Saturn in Scorpio extends to 2015 as does the razor’s edge Uranus/Pluto transit. Make no mistake about it, as a collective we are heading into our toughest, most transformative years yet. And Obama thought he had it hard the first time around!

It’s not all doom and gloom though. There is plenty of opportunity for the taking. A new reality is waiting to be designed, scientists and visionaries are excited about the possibilities. We must hold to the same. The new moon in Libra on Oct 14 suggests creative solutions can set wheels in motion.  This Libra moon can breathe new life into present happenings and circumstances. There is greater potential for same page accord, working together as one, win/win agreements and alliances, etc.

The sun’s advance into Scorpio on Oct 22 adds more energy to the water trine of Saturn, Neptune, Ceres, and Chiron. Oct 22 to 25 can seal the deal, actual and karmic. This can be a fruitful, crystallizing, or finalizing time for agendas, ambitions, and contracts, for joining forces, for pushing forth, for realization and attainment.

October 6 to Nov 16, Mars in Sagittarius thrusts the fight and flight into higher gear. October 28, Mars in opposition to Jupiter will see a major movement, initiative, or campaign hit the runway. Along with the full moon in Taurus on October 29, this weekend launches that final big push for the presidential election and more. We’ll see plenty of escalation not only on the campaign trail, but everywhere, including in our private life journeys too.

ARIES (March 21- April 19) For the past couple of years, Saturn in Libra has challenged your equilibrium. You are likely note that there has been steady progress in a particular area of your life, even if this progress is only an awareness of a need or reality that is now crystallizing for you. On the other hand, have you been confronted with a circumstance or relationship dynamic that has been primarily one of feeling boxed in, thwarted, or denied access? You are coming to the end of this particular way of relating, framing and creating. Saturn in Scorpio puts added pressure on you to address financial and relationship necessities. It is imperative to make those bottom lines tighter and to develop a consistent, down to business strategy that will help you to make the most use of the limited resources you have. Put the hard work upfront. Build now for later reward. On the positive, Saturn in Scorpio can provide you with renewed cause, with the drive, and the ambition that will eventually lead to a more rewarding level of personal success, relationship security, and worldly accomplishment. You can grow into a more formidable, authoritative, and recognized professional status. It offers the same empowering potential within your private and intimate relationships too. Lasting until 2015, Saturn in Scorpio deliver your soul journey to a ripened timeline. One door closes as another is already opening. In the bigger picture schematic, you are finishing a long and profound phase of soul growth while at the same time a long awaited, long yearned for chapter now becomes ripe for access. Jupiter retrograde, beginning Oct 4, can help you to get stay on target with a better sense of direction. Now through the end of January, you’ll be better able to sort through the options that offer the best for your future, and to pick out the truth in the rationale that you have used as your explanation so far. Mercury aligned with Saturn on Oct 5 can conclude negotiations or clear-up your doubt. Mercury in Scorpio, Oct 5 to 28, is a helpful influence for digging to the bottom of things. Mars in Sagittarius, Oct 6 to Nov 16 keeps you aim high and expecting - and generating - good returns. This Mars placement can put you on a more active search to get someplace good. It’s a time to travel, publish, perform, write, and speak and to expand into new markets. As the month finishes off, Mars in opposition to Jupiter on Oct 28 and the full moon on Oct 29 can see you make important headway in professional, financial, and relationship matters.

TAURUS (April 20 -May 20) Since the end of August, Mars in Scorpio has prompted you to break new relationship ground. This transit has forced you to reinvent how you show up for yourself out there in the world too. Saturn’s advance into Scorpio, starting Oct 5, takes it to the next level. If it’s meant to be, your relationship will grow tighter and richer. A relationship that has reached its end will display that “sorry, we’re closed” sign more prominently until you are forced to reckon with the reality. Remember that when Saturn is involved, realization can be a slow and arduous process. On the other hand, just like fine wine, Saturn in Scorpio’s rewards just get better over time. Jupiter’s retrograde cycle, starting Oct 5, can keep you busy with the immediacy of the moment. You are likely to find yourself less distracted by the non essentials and more singularly focused on particular circumstance, project, or ambition. This is especially so while Mercury is in Scorpio, Oct 5 - 28. Throw yourself into studies or research, self improvement, your financial get-ahead, etc. Aim to stay productive and you can accomplish more than the usual. While Jupiter is retrograde and Mars in Sagittarius, Oct 6 to Nov 16, you can feel that and your significant are worlds apart. This can be true if you are both ready to move on but it can give you a valuable opportunity to sort yourself out first. On the other hand, the distance may simply be reflective of the fact that the busy-ness of life is taking away from your quality time together. It’s a temporary influence, put it good use. Mars in Sagittarius brings the right time to expand and explore, to scout for more clients and financial opportunity. This transit can find you spending or investing more too. A good cause is worth everything you give it, but also keep a handle on it and avoid needless extravagance as best you can. Oct 29 delivers a full moon in Taurus. Noting Mars opposing Jupiter the day before, something can grow fast, even go out of control, and then abruptly come to a full stop. A lucrative or exciting potential could be short lived. Something fun could turn serious real quick. An exchange or sudden moment could be of lasting impact.

GEMINI (May 21-June 21) Have you been considering a career redirection? Saturn’s transit through Scorpio, starting on Oct 5, suggests it’s the right time to take it on. Mind you, Saturn will give you a couple of years to sort it out, so there’s no need to scurry. Then again, you can be forced by circumstance or have good reason to make a short bee-line. You’ll also find it necessary to stop the fence sitting regarding health and relationship upgrades. Saturn’s transit through Scorpio can make you more conscious of your bad habits and self defeating attitudes. If you need a stronger alarm to wake you up, Saturn can oblige you by bringing a harsh reality or harsh consequence into being. Speaking of that, there is nothing more tragic than an addiction. Saturn can loan you the stamina and fortitude that can lead you to a personal triumph. If you choose to perpetuate self denial, this transit can be one of going down with the ship. (Globally, we are already doing this with our addictions to oil and our profits-before-people greed.) We all have varying rock-bottoms. If you are coping with such a circumstance, ask yourself what price you are willing to pay to explore your dark side? Surely, giving up the vice is a more lucrative sacrifice. For the next 18 months, the north node in Scorpio will provide you with opportune tools to create more effectiveness where you desire it the most. Recognize the gifts, make full use of them. Jupiter retrograde, Oct 5 – Jan 30 helps you to get clearer on your better options. You’ll gain fresh perspective on your current circumstances, aspirations and involvements. It is an ideal influence for submerging yourself into a study, project, or relationship exploration. Mercury in Scorpio, Oct 5 to 28, takes you through an intensified working it out cycle. Venus in Virgo, Oct 2 to 28 keeps you especially busy. The second week of the month can move you past a roadblock, a confidence issue, and/or open up a lucrative potential. The synchronistic new moon Oct 15 is a good time to sign a contract, or to meet, greet and explore. The full moon Oct 29 can bring unexpected pressure, added vulnerability, dissipation or loss. Be extra cautious, especially re health, finances, and expectations.

CANCER (June 22-July 22) Saturn in Scorpio can come as a relief for Cancer folk. This Saturn transit can help you to create from a more empowered perspective. If you have faltered along the way, Saturn can help you regain yourself again. Saturn aims to realign you with your creative center and helps you stand in your best “light”. Postively, you can be entering an extended period of personal and professional success, creative accomplishment, and of heart fulfillment. Oct 5 can deliver a final answer or end of the road, or pare down your options and define the shape of things to come. Jupiter's retrograde cycle, beginning Oct 4 can be subtle, but it is potent none-the-less. When you pause for reflection, you’ll find your intuition and creativity transmits a stronger signal. Continue to monitor your impressions. Pay closer attention to the words behind the words and the meaning behind the action. Give yourself the next few months to learn the ropes, to explore the potential, to hatch your next plans, etc. Use Mars in Sagittarius, Oct 6 to Nov 16, to scout for more clients or better job prospects, to upgrade marketing and advertising, to introduce new products and services, to add to your education or knowledge base, to scout for a new vehicle or more tools. Oct 8 to 10 are synchronistic, things come together readily and well. The week of the new moon on Oct 15 can also bring it together for you. For the most part you should feel destiny is on your side as the full moon rises on Oct 29, but also make sure that you have the facts straight, that the potential holds real promise, and that you are seeing reality as it is. Don’t pit yourself against impossible odds, or promise what you know you can’t deliver.

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22) Oct 5 brings you to a dead-line, finish off point or a good-bye; Mercury/Saturn signals an ideal time to have a serious talk, to formalize an agreement, to sign papers, commit to a plan, study, or investment. When it comes to a dead-end relationship or circumstance, you should have little doubt about quitting time. Of course once you reach this point, it’s already time to look beyond it. Since the end of August, Mars in Scorpio has been providing you with a quick preview of the changes, investments, and necessities that Saturn in Scorpio will command of you. Saturn in Scorpio adds pressure, especially regarding family, home, and business matters. As is imperative for all of us now, you’ll have to learn how to make due with less while learning how to make what you have account for more. Whether you renovate your home, attitude, lifestyle, or professional ambitions, you can trust Saturn in Scorpio to keep you on task until you get yourself where you need to be. Mars in Sagittarius, Oct 6 to Nov 16, supplies you with the vision, the fighting spirit, the knowledge, and the opportunity. While Venus in Virgo (Oct 2 to 29) makes you sweat harder for your gains, interest and enthusiasm continues strong. Jupiter retrograde calls for you to be more selective regarding your social and community involvements. You could find the need to shift your attention or involvement temporarily while you engage elsewhere. By the end of the month, the time for planning, musing, or skirting around is over. It’s time to hit it hard. The Scorpio full moon on Oct 29 brings you to a culmination point. A major professional contract or real estate deal can be sealed. There can be challenges with authority, bank or legal matters to attend to, or concerns for parents or family members, but overall this full moon is productive, enhancing, and opportune. Just one day before the full moon in Taurus on Oct 29, Venus enters Libra and Mercury enters Sagittarius. Both planetary advances suggest a major release for whatever has been accumulating or putting you asunder. It’s also a good weekend for special occasions, events or celebration.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22) There's more than the usual to sort through as October starts. You can feel uncertain of yourself, or at a complete loss, especially so as Venus enters Virgo on Oct 2 and forms oppositions to Neptune (Oct 3) and Chiron in Pisces (Oct 7). If you have been living for a potential that has no real substance to it, you can face disillusionment and disappointment. Jupiter’s retrograde cycle, beginning Oct 4, can be informing in this regard. Mars in Sagittarius, starting Oct 6, will put that elusive prize even further out of reach. On the other hand, if you have grasped onto something that holds good juice, then you should see that beautiful or lucrative potential unfold quite rapidly in the coming weeks and months. Knitting it or knotting it together, there’s an important matter to discuss, resolve, and conclude as Mercury conjoins Saturn in Libra on Oct 5, just before both planets begin their Scorpio trek. This can be a day of facing the facts, and finishing it off in no uncertain terms; of important decisions, negotiations, investments, and contract undertakings; of moving the rocks out of the way and/or of setting important paving stones in place. From here, a lot changes - perhaps everything does. Saturn’s exit from Libra and advance into Scorpio can feel like someone just open a window and let you out. The financial and relationship hardships of the past couple years will soon feel like ancient history. That’s not to say that all your challenges have suddenly vanished, but simply that you won’t feel as weighted down, hard done by, or shut out of your fair share as seemed to be the case in recent times. Saturn tenants Scorpio from Oct 5 through 2015. While this no-time-for-games-or-bullshit transit continues, you’ll learn to speak with more impact, courage, and conviction. You’ll begin to hold more sway and influence, and to command more respect. Too, your critical thinking and powers of observation will be honed in the coming years. You’ll naturally become more pensive and observant, perhaps even more mistrustful or suspicious. To a certain extent, this can do you some good, especially if you are prone to being victimized by an overly trusting heart. Don’t let yourself stall out with depression. Although its a natural, and sometimes necessary, state of the human psyche, you have better places to be. Reframe it as inner reflection and pull your socks up. As Saturn winds its way through Scorpio, people will start to take you, your work, and your word more seriously. In fact, whether you train formally or not, in small or more substantial ways, you could become sought after for your knowledge, skill or expertise. This is an ideal transit for serious scholastic ambitions, and for major social, personal, and professional reinvention. You’ll jettison some friends, i.e., the timewasters and backstabbers, while other relationships will cement and grow in importance. Be they friends, colleagues, clients, business contacts, sibling, mentors, agents, or advisors, the relationships that are keepers will be ones that offer you something of true substance and worth. Jupiter in Gemini retrograde, Oct 4 to Jan 30, will also put you through a priority rethink cycle. Use this cycle to hash out your plans, review commitments, question more, and to ask more of yourself and from those who are instrumental to your wellbeing and abundance. The new moon on Oct 14 can set up a new financial opportunity or bring legal matters to the foreground. Even though there is some risk-taking involved or new ground to break, this new moon signals an appropriate time to make a major financial or relationship investment. It also offers better prospects for those on the job or relationship hunt. Oct 22 to 25 can be a solidifying or goal reaching time. In fact, the second, third and fourth weeks of the month offer a productive backdrop. You should find yourself less restricted and with better prospects and opportunity. The full moon Oct 29 can see you happy to let go of an issue, circumstance, or relationship that has plagued you for sometime.

LIBRA (SEPT 22-OCT 22) You may think of Saturn’s exit out of Libra as a welcome relief but Saturn has to go somewhere. Hopefully you have been able to harness the best of Saturn –i.e. to develop the serenity to accept the things you can’t change, the courage to change the things you can, and the wisdom to know the difference. I think we can all agree the Serenity Prayer never goes out of style. Thankfully Saturn’s trek into Scorpio, starting Oct 6, is facilitated by Neptune in Pisces and Ceres in Cancer (a grand trine). The sun’s entrance into Scorpio on Oct 22 and alignment with Saturn also activates Neptune and Ceres. What does this mean for you? That you have better coping skills than you may realize. Like it or not, this time of essential restructuring, pay dues, or facing the music comes/feels like natural progression. On the positive, you can find your work, creativity and learning curve flows quite well, that you can integrate new techniques, processes, or absorb what you need to very readily. When it’s right for you, you’ll take to it like a duck to water. Saturn trine Neptune can tug hard at the heart strings. It can expose your compassion or spiritual side. On the other hand this transit can make you more physically or emotionally vulnerable. This can also be an emotional, physical or materially draining influence. For the rest of the month, put added attention toward getting proper rest; try not to succumb to unhealthy eating, activities, or self pity, and watch you’re spending too. Mars in Sagittarius, Oct 6 to Nov 16, can keep you inspired, hopeful, and on a crusade. This is a good influence for expanding your social circle, for travel, teaching, coaching, or educational pursuits, and also for getting the word out to those who need to know. When it comes to getting anything off the ground, it’s for you to take the lead and to set an example for the rest of us. On Oct 28, Mars in opposition to Jupiter can set big wheels in motion. This can be a lucrative day to aim for, and/or to aim higher. Venus enters Libra and Mercury enters Sagittarius on Oct 28 too, just one day before the full moon in Taurus. The last week of the month can bring you a significant financial or relationship threshold or finish line.

SCORPIO (Oct 23~Nov 22) Looking back over the past couple of years, I’m sure you’ll say it’s been a mixed bag of losses and gains. You may not have been able to see how it all fits together while you were in the thick of so much transition and change. It’s all been the lead-up to Saturn’s tenure in Scorpio, Oct 5 to 2015. Revving up your engine, Mars has been running vanguard for Saturn since the end of August. At the end of August, the karmic axis shifted into the Scorpio/Taurus polarity too. While it’s been building it for awhile, you have now arrived at the starting gate of a whole new life trajectory. Saturn begins Scorpio with added support from Neptune in Pisces. The trine is exact on Oct 10, but the duo will continue to facilitate one another through the entire month. Oct 22 to 25, the sun in Scorpio will add its light to this pairing/trine. (Sun trine Neptune occurs on Oct 23 and the Sun conjunct Saturn occurs on Oct 25.) How does this generate for you? It’s a natural creative flow. You are in a favourable building, manifesting, attainment, and recognition cycle. Use these dates to instigate, fire it up, reach out, or complete. Ambitions, plans, etc. can shape-up or culminate with relative ease. Even the tough stuff is easier to handle. Venus in Virgo, Oct 2 to 28, is the time to mix creativity with practicality in terms of making your dollars, ambitions, and involvements work for you. This is a heal-it, fix-it or corrective influence. It’s a matter of being more discriminating with your resources, time, and output, of ditching the marginal and the time wasters. Why take it on if it doesn’t offer enough/get you to where you envision yourself? Why bother with people who make promises but don’t deliver? Spend time with those who can offer you something of substance; that you can learn or benefit from. On the other hand, your involvement with a group or a key someone could offer good healing to them and increase a potential or prospect for you. You can be good, perhaps essential sounding board for another. Mars in Sagittarius, Oct 6 to Nov 16, can put you on a financial increase, a spending spree, or a financial hunt - and perhaps all three at once. This Mars placement can amp up your resources and your resourcefulness. The new moon Oct 15 begins an opportune couple of weeks for getting on with the tasks at hand. Use your days wisely and you can gain good ground re work, relationships, and health. End of the month, you are into something major again. On Oct 28, Mars opposes Jupiter, Venus enters Libra and Mercury enters Sagittarius. The full moon in Taurus occurs on Oct 29. These are definitive cut-off or surpassing days. There can be an abrupt ending, with no turning back. What’s ripe and ready to make its presence known, it will do so in no uncertain terms. This can be significant time of goal-reaching, or of contractual undertakings, actual and karmic. What cements into place now will pave the roadway for a long time to come.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov 22~Dec21) It seems you have plenty on brew and more figuring-out to do in this first week of October. Venus in Virgo, Oct 2 to 28 calls for you to more closely examine your ambitions, commitments, and priorities; to shift, replenish, or shore-up as needs be. Your high hopes/envisioning will put you to productive work, or you’ll see that your expectations have fallen short of their mark. Either way, it’s time to move on to a fresh page. Jupiter in Gemini, turning retrograde on Oct 4, will help you to translate the writing on the wall into a more readable format. It will do this by segregating out and labelling the variables into more visible categories. Through the end of January, Jupiter retrograde will keep you focused on a specific relationship, project, or goal. (Perhaps there’s more than one key matter occupying you.) One thing hinges on another. There’s mirroring, playback, and feedback to analyze. What you see and what you get, the advertising and the reality, the talk and the walk, are they one or at odds? If same page doesn’t come naturally or easily, you can bet that you are working your way through a major karmic subchapter. This is especially so through the beginning of November. Mercury and Saturn conjoin in Libra on Oct 5 before both planets exit the sign. This planetary pairing brings a relationship, contract term, financial matter, grace period, or test phase to a major finish-line. Mercury’s transit is a quick one through Scorpio, but its potency can endure. Oct 5 to 28, you’ll have plenty to work out behind the scenes. This is a time to strategize and to keep it close to your chest. Saturn’s exit out of Libra and into Scorpio on Oct 5 turns your priority attention away from working it “out there” to working it from within. Your recent public, social, or group involvements or ambitions will now take a back seat to more pressing private and personal life matters. The focus narrows and life shrinks again. It can be time for you to circle the wagons re finances and to put more effort toward safeguarding the commitments, relationships, and assets that truly matter. Through 2015, Saturn in Scorpio will keep working behind the curtain to stage your new reality. In other words, your soul aims to keep a major karmic agenda mostly under wraps. Sometimes you’ll know it. Sometimes you’ll actively direct the construction. At other times you’ll get inklings and messages. This is an ideal time to engage in a project or study, or to set an intention, that will take a couple of years to bring to fruition. Of course there are many possible expressions for any planetary influence. Saturn in Scorpio can introduce you to your ultimate career or life’s purpose. It can bring you to an ultimate threshold and help you to realize a long sought after, and deeply cherished, desire or hope. This Saturn placement can also find you deepening you spiritual practice or find you questioning God more. Either way, Saturn will open the door to another realm. Saturn trine Neptune for the month of Oct necessitates that you simplify where possible. After so much recent turmoil, Saturn/Neptune can bring you a level of inner peace and reconciliation, or it can support you find more faith and trust in “let go and let god”. Mars in Sagittarius, Oct 6 to Nov 16 can renew your faith, vitality, and enthusiasm. One way or another, it puts you on the move, especially so at month end. Oct 28, Mars opposes Jupiter, Venus enters Libra, and Mercury enters Sagittarius. Off with the old, onto the next; a full stop followed by a vibrant new start, the back-at-it/back to work full moon in Taurus on Oct 29 adds an extra kick/thrust to current events and happenings. Could this full moon put hockey back on the ice?

CAPRICORN (DEC 22~JAN 19) At the start of the month you still may not have the answers, clarity, or green light that you’ve been waiting for, but you will soon enough. Venus in Virgo opposing Neptune (Oct 2, 3) can offer promise, but they can also suggest you’ll have a propensity to see/hear what you want to see and miss the rest. You are wise to stay detail oriented. Jupiter’s change of direction to retrograde motion, starting Oct 4 (to Jan 30) helps you to sort out fact from fiction, to get your story and/or your bearings straight. For the next several months while Jupiter is in retrograde, you are likely to find yourself well occupied with a particular issue, training program, or learning curve. As you move through the next several months, you’ll come to learn what works for you and what doesn’t. In fact, Jupiter retrograde will help you to hone better observational skills, and more pinpointed communication skills. Oct 5 can be a completion, solution finding, or contract signing day. On this day, both Mercury and Saturn will advance out of Libra and into Scorpio. Oct 5 to 28, Mercury in Scorpio can shift the direction of a key relationship, social involvement, or a financial track. Saturn in Scorpio, starting Oct 5 (to 2015) can prompt a dramatic change to your goals or lifestyle. Whether you have chosen it or its thrust upon you, this Saturn transit can set the course of your life onto a radically alternate track. You could find yourself carrying more responsibility, for yourself or another. Then again, the transit may help you to set yourself free of the burdens you’ve carried for so long. Either way, the ongoing Uranus square Pluto transit (to 2015) will continue to supply you with fresh fuel until you finally get the job done. Mars in Sagittarius, Oct 6 to Nov 16, keeps you flying at it behind the scenes. This Mars position brings you added insights. Listen your inner guidance and follow your intuition more. The sun’s entrance into Scorpio, starting Oct 22, can change the score yet again. There can be added incentive, options, or factors. Oct 22 to 25 can be defining, solidifying, or solution generating. A goal can be reached, an issue, project, study or negotiation can be completed; you could be given a reward, award, contract, or a good break. Noting that Mars opposes Jupiter on Oct 28 and the emotional full moon in Taurus occurs on Oct 29, there’s sure to be plenty extra going on at month’s end. Something to do with work, health or unfinished business could take you by surprise. It could all hit at once. From one extreme to another, something that has been blocked or held-up can be suddenly fast tracked. Expect a major release or unleashing. (There can be unhinging too.) Positively, you could put your hands on more than you realized was there to begin with. A dynamic financial or romantic potential could take you by storm. Once the target is in good view, a compulsive or obsessive streak could get the better of you. Stay alert, proceed with caution.

AQUARIUS (Jan 20~Feb 18) By the end of the first week of October, you should have something officially wrapped up and/or laid to rest. Mercury conjunct Saturn on Oct 5 can also provide you with confirmation, results, an award, a contract, or more concrete information than you have now. On this same day, both planets will leave Libra and advance into Scorpio. As they do, they can prompt significant restructuring or a complete overhaul in the way you approach a specific circumstance, project, plan, or goal. Over the next couple of years, the world is going to change in major ways, and so will you. Can you weather a depressed economy? Saturn in Scorpio changes the way we do business and the way we govern ourselves. This Saturn position calls for you to be more astute, shrewd, and resourceful. Put these talents to work now and you’ll hedge your best bets. There’s no time to waste. If you want a career change, go for it now. As best possible, avoid digging yourself into a deep financial hole. If you are already there, fight harder! With good effort applied, you can make a successful turnaround. Whether is it now or over the next couple years, you could find you need to pick up the ball that someone else can’t carry or refuses to carry. Your relationship to a parent, mentor, corporation, or authority figure can undergo major change too. Jupiter’s retrograde cycle, beginning Oct 4, helps you to stand out from the crowd and to create a great distinction for yourself. Your creativity increases, your intuitive know-how should too. You’ll find it best to hold to your own wise council. While Jupiter is in retrograde, your inner teacher is likely to speak up more. It’s up to you to listen and to act upon the advice. Scorpio month, starting Oct 22, puts an added emphasis on career matters and on upgrading your professional profiling. Oct 22 to 25 can bring you added professional attention or reward. This is an appropriate time to sign contracts, negotiate business deals, or financial matters. Oct 28 and 29 are action packed. One way or another, Mars in opposition to Jupiter can put the show on the road. The full moon in Taurus brings family, home, real estate, self employment, and financial matters to a decisive turning point.

PISCES (Feb 19~March 20) The stars have been staging it for a while now and here you are, stepping into your future. You are at the start of so much more. Venus in Virgo and opposition to Neptune (Oct 2, 3) and Chiron (Oct 10) can make you feel overwhelmed or at a loss. As part of the mix, there may be a necessity to give up something that has held value or meaning for you, or a goodbye may be said. Whether glorious or bittersweet, it is a time has come moment, and you know it well. Oct 4, Jupiter begins its annual retrograde. Over the next several months, your consciousness will be attuned to the colliding holographic reality that unfolds before you - in other words you are likely to be very aware of how past, present, and future is rolled into one. On Oct 5, Mercury completing on Saturn brings you to a finish line and also begins a fresh page. As both Mercury (to Oct 28) and Saturn trek through Scorpio (to 2015), they’ll introduce to plenty of foreign territory and elements. Doors that seemed closed you to previously can open wide for you now. There are plenty of new worlds waiting for you. Expand yourself. Travel, relocate, perform, exhibit, publish; take enrichment courses, masters programs; consider speculative ventures; seek or take on coaching, teaching, mentoring, etc. For some, Saturn’s trek through Scorpio can bring influence, fame, fortune, a career path full of rich purpose, or a legendary love. This month’s facilitating trine between Saturn and Neptune (especially potent Oct 6 to 13) and also from June to Aug 2013, makes for an ease of transition and exceptional opportunity. Saturn’s trine to Ceres in Cancer (to Dec 5) and Chiron in Pisces (especially influential through mid December) heightens the fated feel of the journey. Envision, aspire, have faith, trust your intuition, and go for it. The new moon on Oct 15 can be a time to cement or launch.
