AND, Cheers to this new app - hey, might as well get some money back when you're out for a drink, or picking up your favorite drinks, right? Take your money wherever you can find it - it all adds up, fo' sho'! : )

And here's how they happened - you know how I hate to waste anything, and I had bought some Tortilla's for my lovely daughter, since she loves to put some Sharp Cheese on a Tortilla, roll it up, microwave it, done!

So, anyway, I happened to have 2 packages of Tortillas in the fridge, no one had gotten around to eating them, and the other night I thought, well, I don't want them to go bad, pack up their own bag and walk out the fridge on their own... one of my favorite jokes whenever something accidentally goes bad before I've gotten around to using it...hahaha! Makes me laugh : )

The first time I tried baking the Tortillas,  just cut one Tortilla, like a pie, put it on the Parchment Paper, baked it waaay too long (I was busy online, forgot I had anything in the oven - lol!)... they were okay, but not delicious, so I had a little idea on how I could make them better...

So here's what I did - I poured a little bit of Olive Oil on the first Tortilla, put the next Tortilla right on top of the first one, and squish it around so the whole Tortilla is covered, then flip it over, squish around the other side, add the next Tortilla, flip that one, then flip the bottom Tortilla - or, however many you're making - I made 3, tonight...

And I think you could use any oil, I'm guessing, I just thought I'd try it with Olive Oil (EVOO - Extra Virgin Olive Oil), first, see how they turned out : )

I laid them out on the Parchment Paper (which is a total miracle, I hope you're cooking with Parchment Paper, too, since anything you bake that might normally be fried, will have waaay less fat, will taste and look like it was fried - how cool is that, right? Soo cool!)

See how easy? You can just move the Olive Oil (or whatever oil you want to use - I'm guessing they would all be good : ) around with your fingers, no worries... nothing fancy, just quick and easy, healthy and delicious!

Please, oh Please, if you are a man, do not forget Valentine's Day - lol! Oh, it means more than you might think - haha! As long as you remember it, though, you're good to go : ) #HappyValentinesDay!

I just cut the Tortillas like a pie - was the easiest thing I could think of - lol! But, I'm thinking that they would be fun to make into little strips, do the oil, first, of course, and then lay them out on the Parchment Paper, lightly salt, you could use the Tortilla Strips for a salad, or your soup - or like DIY Hickory Sticks - haha!

I'm thinking, as well, you could cut the Tortilla in rounds, using a cookie cutter or a glass, then press them into a cupcake tray, bake them, then you could fill them with Taco Meat, or any kind of Pulled Meat - and then all your favorite toppings... wouldn't that be cute?

Ooh, AND, if you can find something to 'hang' your tortilla over, and put it in the oven, it'll bake in the shape of a Taco Shell - ah'yum!

For all my little Canadian Friends! Heyyoo! : )

If you know me, and I hope you do, but if this is your first visit in to see me, Heyyoo! I'm thrilled you're here! But I'm not a calorie counter, except for sometimes, because I do like the idea that if you cut out 100 calories a day, you'll lose a pound a month, or maybe more, and if you cut out 400 calories a day, I dunno, quadruple that? haha! And then add in a little exercise.. man, who looks amazing? You do! Yahoo!

I am closer to looking at Fat Grams and the Carb count, although I also think you need to use your brain before anything else, when it comes to Carbs - don't let yourself get too caught up in the 'no carbs' thing - moderation is always the key, enjoy your food, just be mindful of what you're eating, drink more water (I also hope you're already doing my 10/10 Diet - just take 10 sips of water, 10 times a day, will transform your body... yahoo!)

Oh, and I think the Fiber count is the most important part of the Nutritional Facts, since a diet high in Fiber will make you soooo nice and healthy, you'll be so excited!

At first I had laid the Tortillas in a circle, like the pie shape I had cut them in, but I could get more on the cookie sheet when I laid them out like that.... and, yahoo, that left me a little space for some Cheese Sticks and Jalapeno Sticks - yum!

Okay, why does that make me laugh so hard? X or Love? haha! You decide, Baby! lol! ; )

Just Lightly Salt the Tortilla pieces before they go in the oven, and I used just regular table salt...

Bake at 350 F for about 10 minutes (again, I always lose track of time, I'm busy - lol!), then take the trays out the oven, flip them all over, salt on the other side, pop back into the oven for about another 10 minutes - they'll be ready when they're 'dry' and crispy, a little bit brown on the edges... you'll know when you see them : )

I can't tell you how delicious these are - we were so pleased with ourselves, for, one, not wasting the Tortillas, and, two, for discovering a lovely new-to-me recipe! lol!

Go ahead and try new things in the kitchen - if you have a little idea for something, can't hurt to give it a wee try, right? That's how so many of my favorite recipes have come to be - I've got something in my fridge that I don't want to waste - lol!

There were the 'dry ones', the first shot at the Baked Tortillas, and they were okay, but, go ahead and just enjoy what you eat - that's okay... : )

I can't remember how much the package of Tortillas was, but, sometimes you can get a good deal...

And this is gonna make sooo many Baked Tortilla Chips! Yum!

You can serve them just as they are, they're flaky, light, crispy, so delicious - sort of like a cross between a regular Tortilla Chip and Puff Pastry, since it becomes a lot of little thin layers of pastry - is soo good!

I served these Baked Tortilla Chips with Salsa, and that was delicious, but you could serve these, warm or cold, with your favorite dip - would be delicious with a Spinach Dip! Yum!

And they were soo good, we ate them all - haha! I gotta look up what this 'moderation' thing is that I keep hearing about - lol!

Happy Eating!! Your Little Friend, Ailsa!! (Dat me!) xoxo! : )

Those 'Three Little Words' are I Love You, so you wanna get in there and say that, before you hear three other kinds of words - bah'hahahahaha! #ValentinesDay! : )

Taco Tortillas - Yum! Fast and Easy!

Oh, and then look what else we figured out - lol!

All this, because I didn't want to waste our 10 zillion Tortillas we bought for $2.87 at the Wholesale Club store - haha!

I just made much bigger wedges, the usual Olive Oil on the first guy, then squish all the other guys on top of that one, and then each other (good, sorta a bad, joke, here - lol!), so both sides of each Tortilla is covered in a light layer of Olive Oil, EVOO ; )

Whenever I see Ground Meat, Ground Hamburger, Mince, if you're Scottish - haha - on sale, or a good price, especially those giant packages of the Ground Meat, I make the whole thing in a giant pot, add a LOT of Taco Seasoning, and we either have Tacos or Taco Spaghetti (yum!), that first night, pop the rest oof the cooked and seasoned meat in a big freezer bag, squish that around a little bit, as it's freezing, so you can easily just use a little bit at a time, on Cucumber Slices (yum!), or in whatever else you're making...

Anyway, so I made the larger Tortilla Slices, baked them on each side for about 10 minutes, each, lightly salted on each side, too : )

Add on some Taco Meat (we just microwaved it for a couple of minutes - poifect!)

Add a little Salsa

Add a little Shredded Cheese

If you have lettuce, you could totally add that, but we just had the Taco Tortillas straight up - deeelicious! VERY kid and family friendly - and would make a great party snacks, too! : )

#Hamburgers, Baby!

And, here's a yummy thing to try, next time you have Hamburgers!

Make your own hamburgers at home - is waay easier than you might think - yippee!

I use a giant pan, I love it, is life-changing, but you can use any pan, of course!

Put Olive Oil, Montreal Steak Spice and Seasoning Salt in the pan, turn on the heat to high : )

I usually just use frozen hamburger patties - they're a good deal, and you can keep them in the freezer for whenever you might like to have them : )

Place each hamburger in the pan, whatever will fit, easily - usually 3 or 4, if you have a big pan, 1 or 2 for a smaller pan : )

So, place the hamburgers in the pan, move them around a little, cover and let cook #Yum!

I pop some rolls in the oven, cut in half, I like a toasty roll, or, toast them in the toaster : )

Take the lid off carefully, set aside...

Flip the burgers, use a spatula and a fork, to make sure it doesn't splatter - be careful! : )

Press down on the burgers with the spatula - cover and get all your 'fixins' out - lol!

Ketchup, Mustard, Relish, Tomato Slices, Lettuce, Pickles, Onions, Peppers - Mushrooms if you feel like tossing some mushrooms in the pan, too - ah'yum!

Turn the heat down a little, make sure they're all cooked thoroughly - they will be so delicious! Yay!!

Lift the Hamburger patties to the bun, or, use Tomato Slices as the top bun, or, do a Lettuce Wrap, if you're doing Keto - it's all good, it's all delicious!

Now you've saved a ton o' money, and you're having an amazing meal! Yippee!

Toast Jalapeno Bagels - they make a great Hamburger Bun!

Very spicy, so, you might want to use half the Jalapeno Bagel, use a Tomato slice for the top bun - so delicious!

And a whole lot o' Lettuce!!

Yum! So Fresh and Light!!

I love it!

Happy Eating!! Your li'l Foodie Friend, Ailsa! lol! : )
