Hallowe'en  -- Easy and Funny Homemade Halloween Costumes... it's soo much fun making up your own Hallowe'en Costume -- remember when we were kids, and you went through your Mum and Dad's closet to find your Halloween Costume??  Hahaha! Was soo much fun -- like a treasure trove of costumes in there! You can still do that, but use your own closet, or swing by a Thrift Store, like Value Village, see what you can find!  Here are some funny ideas you might like to try, have a few laughs, maybe win a Costume Contest (or win a new heart! lol!)

How to Keep Your Poppy on :)
Remembrance Day, November 11th, one of the most significant days of the year, for me, and I hope for all of us.  so important for us to remember, send out our love and respect, and lots of prayers, to our men and women in all the Military Services.  In Canada, we all wear the Poppy, to show our support of those serving and those who have served before us.  Here's a wee tip to keep your Remembrance Day Poppy on, since it can have a tendency to slip right of... this will keep your Poppy in place!  Oh, and this year was our first year back in Canada for Remembrance Day for a long time (we had been in California, USA), and the sheer number of people who came out for the outdoor Remembrance Day Service was wonderful -- Canadians are a lovely, supportive, bunch!! But here's something I had never seen, before, that maybe started when we were away... after the Remembrance Day Service (which was beautiful, and I loved the Lone Piper -- there's my Scottish Roots showing!), all the Service Men and Women went up to the Cenotaph, at the Veterans' Memorial, and tucked their Poppies into the crevices in the statue.  Then they stood back and saluted.  How beautiful and moving is that??  So moving.  So we stood in line, and we did the same.  I was sorry to see that the school children weren't at the Remembrance Day Service, because the kids in Ontario, Canada, don't get Remembrance Day off school, any more.  So sad.  We have to make sure our children never forget, and that seems like a quick way for them not to remember. Maybe the government will change their minds, or children will be taken to the Remembrance Day Services in their own towns through the school -- but I think this is something to be done with your family.. canny help it, I'm a Traditionalist, at heart!  The important thing is that we all remember, though, and show our respect :) http://buildyourownhousebodylife.blogspot.com/2011/11/having-hard-time-keeping-your.html
