Big Brother 16: Amber's Out the Door...and Caleb STILL thinks he's the 'King of the house' - bleh!

Big Brother 16: Amber's Out the Door...and Caleb STILL thinks he's the 'King of the house' - Delusional, much? lol!

So, lovely Amber was evicted from the Big Brother house, tonight - poor kid, and mostly because of Caleb ruining her game, but good for Amber to say to Julie Chen, when she was talking to Julie after the eviction, and told Julie, straight-up, that she wouldn't have pretended to like Caleb, just for the money - good girl!  But how much does it suck that Amber had to go because Caleb turned out to be a crazy?

And you know what? Whenever I hear any man say he's 'King of his Castle', that guy is a crazy-assss jerk. Guaranteed. What kind of lunatic ego needs to be a 'king'?  Ladies, that's usually the sign of an abuser, and the whole thing where he keeps calling Amber 'his queen'?? Gross. They can label you a queen or a princess, and it's putting the woman on a pedestal, then it suddenly becomes their crazy mission to 'knock her off her throne', even if he is the one who 'put her there'. It's full-out crazy, and is rarely a good thing. Just both be normal people, no pedestals, a couple of nice, equal, people, done.

That was such a shame that Donny didn't want to carry through with the #TeamAmerica mission, and each of the members of #TeamAmerica, Donny, Derrick and Frankie, to vote against the house, then cause a little ruckus...hmmm, it was hard to tell if Donny was protecting his own game by not voting out Jocasta, who is clearly in alliance, or at least, alongside, Donny, and if it was too much for him to cause any kind of negativity... I know that's against his nature, but he just cost #TeamAmerica $15,000 - that's a lot of money. and everyone knows it's a game, it's not like he wouldn't be forgiven... sooo, that was a shame. I hope the next mission for #TeamAmerica isn't so mean-spirited...why were those the only two options, both designed to cause tension and fighting in the Big Brother house.

Oh, that reminds me - is there any alcohol in the Big Brother house?  I haven't sen any fights over who drank the wine, and I haven't seen any drunken fights, at all... and maybe that's why there are so few showmances?  Without the 'magic' of alcohol, no extra love in the Big Brother house? haha!  Now we've gotta keep an eye out for the booze! lol!

Oh, and here's a little eye candy for you! hahahaha!  Cody is the one that Amber was surprised voted against her... I think Amber did think she had a little something with Cody, so pretty weird that she told Julie Chen Cody was 'like a brother' to her - yick, that would be a super creepy brother-sister thing goin' on, there, right?  Sooo, nope, that's not what a brother-sister relationship looks like... (is there a little Game of Thrones joke, here? hahaha!  Nooo, yick! lol!)

Otay, 'til next time!  Go have yourself some fun!!  Ailsa : )

Big Brother 16: Amber's on the block...will Caleb still want to save her (for himself?? lol!)

Big Brother 16:  Amber's on the block...will Caleb still want to save her (for himself?? lol!)

Ruh-roh, Amber was backdoored by Frankie, after Hayden had won the Veto competition and took Victoria off the block, but now Nicole is getting jealous of Victoria, because she thinks Hayden maybe has a little thing for Victoria, and now he's saved her form the block??? lol!  Noo, Hayden is so sweet, I think he only has eyes for Nicole, and that was super cute that Nicole did her little strip tease to take off her German outfit, and Hayden thought that was so cute that Nicole was terrible at that - a Good Thing, for Hayden - lol!

Soo, I like Amber, but what's with the zero reaction to anything?  Zombie, much? lol!  Wouldn't you at least say, "I shouldn't be judged harshly because I don't reciprocate Caleb's feelings, let me play my own game", but instead, Amber stays absolutely silent, not even any facial reaction... that's weird, right?  Oooh, and I was soo disappointed that Amber didn't have at least a little reaction to the Zach Attack, so #TeamAmerica could have completed their mission, and gotten some more moula, right?  That would've been fantastic for #TeamAmerica - would have given then $15,000 each - that's huge!  Soo, I relaly hope #TeamAmerica can complete their next task, get that money!

Man, I love Frankie - by far, he's my favorite house guest.... and I love this picture of Frankie with his lovely sister, Ariana Grande - I'm amazed he's been able to keep that a secret, this whole time...  how cute is this picture? Soo cute!

Man, Jocasta must be playing a good social game - I'm religious, too, but is any one else getting a little annoyed with all the Praise Jesus stuff on the show? I dunno, it seems excessive, and not very likely to work for converting other people, if that's what that is intended to do, and I pray all the time, so I'm not sure why I find that, and the whole 'speaking in tongues' thing annoying... haha1  Ah, well, whatever Jocasta's doing, it's working for her, so if it's her own work, or God's work, it's all working! lol!

So, we'll see what happens to ol' Amber...yikes!  Will Caleb step up and try to save her?  I think Caleb still thinks he's got a great shot with Amber, since he thinks they had such a great date - hahaha!  I laughed out loud when Caleb said that...poor guy, but it does suck that amber sems to be paying the price for not being attracted to Caleb, and he's mad for her... but she's also not playing a good game, not with the women, when Joey had first tried to start an all girl alliance, and not really dealing with the whole Caleb situation... so, amber might be on ehr way out the Big Brother door...

Until next time!! Go haz some fun! Ailsa : )

Make a 'Throw-it-Together' cake - what to do with your leftover cake - make a whole NEW cake! lol!

Make a 'Throw-it-Together' cake - what to do with your leftover cake - make a whole NEW cake! lol!

What can you do with leftover cake??  Here's what to do - make a NEW cake!

You know me, I hate to throw anything away, I'm not a waster kind o' girl... I love to find a new life for something old - like the crazy cake I bought, thought was a'gonna be deelicious, and no, it totally wasn't, jus' a plain ol' cake, soo, I didn't eat it, but I also didn't want to just toss it out, you know?  Sooo, here's what I did...

See how much of the cake I had left?  Holy schmokes, it really was soo plain Jane, you know - I really, really wanted that cake, too, it looked really good in the store, and I thought it was a coffee cake with cream cheese icing, turns out to just be a pound cake with a lemon Greek Yogurt icing...ick. Yuck. Too plain for me - lol!

So here's how I 'saved' this cake - by throwing a bunch o' stuffs in it, make it delicious!

So I just cut the cake up into squares-ish...nothing fancy, just cut up whatever cake you have left over, including the icing, and toss it in an 8" X 8" buttered pan. I used a 9" X 13" pan, just because I had a ludicrous amount of extra leftover cake... and this is a great recipe for your leftover cake...

Then, I found a jar of unopened Maraschino Cherries in the cupboard, so I thought, well, I'll just throw that in, too...

So far, so good, right?  I just poured the entire jar of Maraschino Cherries in, including the liquid.

So then you need something to hold the whole thing, together, sooo, I used :

4 eggs

Splash of Milk - maybe a 1/2 a cup?  You can adjust that, depending on how many eggs you use, and how much leftover cake you have! lol!)

Splash of Vanilla

Then I poured in some sugar, maybe a 1/2 a cup

And some Brown Sugar, about a half a cup

And a bunch of Cinnamon... maybe 2 tablespoons...

Mix that really well, and pour over the cake pieces.

Pop in the oven at 350 degrees F for about 20 - 30 minutes, then take it out and sprinkle on the Brown Sugar Topping.  You can make more or less, depending on the size of pan...

Brown Sugar Topping:

3/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup flour
1/4 cup melted butter (or margarine)

Using a fork or a pastry cutter, mix it roughly to create 'crumbs'.

You can totally skip this stage, I just really like this topping : )

Use your fingers to sprinkle on the topping - will be much easier than pouring it straight from the bowl... a good little trick is to sprinkle from the outside, in, so you have a nice even topping.. or do whatever you like! lol!

Looks yummy, already, right?  I love the Maraschino Cherries - who knew?  Looks super fancy! lol!

And there it is, all done!  And no cake wasted!  Yahoo!  Think I'll go have one more piece!  I like it with a little (okay, you got me, a lot!) of whipcream - yum!  Or would be very nice with a nice scoop of ice cream : )

Oh, was just thinking - if you have any fresh fruit, or canned fruit, or maybe canned pie filing, you could totally try that, too...would be delicious, and be sure to use the liquid, too.  I wonder if I could have added a cup of some nice juice, too?  Hmmm... that's the fun part of a 'Throw-it-Together' cake - just throw in whatever you have in the house! lol!  : >

Enjoy!!! Your Not-Wasty-Ailsa! lol! : )

Big Brother 16: Zach Attack?? Has Zach Gone Mad with Power? lol!

Big Brother 16:  Zach Attack?? Has Zach Gone Mad with Power? lol!  So, is Zach losin' it?  For a while, there, Zach was looking like a good guy, concerned about other house guests, being nice and kind, then then, whammo, we're got a crazy on our hands! lol!  Poor kid, he's gone power-mad!  And Zach was not amused by being hit in the face with the cake - Ooooww, says, Zach... lol!  Sort o' funny... but he's losing his good friend, Frankie, who knows he can't depend on Zach to keep it together, and that makes Zach a target...

But, if Zach has become the new target, from being sooo mean to Nicole, who really is a sweet girl, no need to take it to such a personal level, right? That was like a Grade 6 insult, wasn't it?  And really hurt Nicole's feelings..sooo glad Nicole and Christine worked together so well to win the competition.

Is interesting that Jocasta says her voice wasn't heard when she was in the competition with Victoria - you have to make yourself be heard...and little Victoria, she seems have to have no idea why she keeps being put up on the block, but she seems to have no game, whatsoever. You can't really just stand alone in the Big Brother house, you gotta team up with other house guests, work in a team... but Victoria might still be safe, if Amber or Zach are put on the block, if either Victoria or Jocasta can get themselves off the block...

(Well, hmmmm, have no idea why that paragraph just turned blue and is all underlined - lol! Super weird!  A computah' mystery! lol!)

#BBDate - lol!

One of my favorite bits of Big Brother, tonight, was the date Caleb finally 'won' with Amber...by eating a pickle. Hilarious, on pretty much every level... this kid, he just doesn't pick up on any of the 5 zillion social cues Amber is giving off...hahaha!  So Caleb eats this stooopid pickle, Amber feels like she might as well get that over with, which is a good idea, and their 'date' was hilarious - lots of silence, Amber all squished into herself, blocking her whole body - that body language made me laugh... she couldn't be any less interested in Caleb - she was even looking over a Cody during their 'date', and Caleb had to remind her to pay attention to him...hahahahahaha!  So that puts a target on all three of them, amber, Cody and Caleb. Which is so unfair to Amber, since she just isn't interested in Caleb - oh, and I was watching some of the Big Brother After Dark, and Caleb is talking endlessly with Jocasta about Amber, how she just doesn't get how appreciative she she be of him, that Caleb is the one who is carrying her through the game...ugh!  But that stuff makes me laugh, iz funny...

Sooo, will be soo interesting to see whether the house wants Zach to go home, after all his very bad behavior, this week... you've gotta be soo careful in the Big Brother house! lol!  Until next time, go haz lots o' fun!! Ailsa : )

Sooo Easy Macaroni & Cheese - delicious! #MacnCheese #Alfredo #EasyRecipes

Save big on Fitbit® One and Zip with promo code: FITBITDEAL. 4/14-7/13 While Supplies Last!

AND, I just found out that you can just pour heavy cream into a pan, heat it up, add some butter, let that cook down, no flour necessary, then gradually add in your cheese, salt and pepper, to taste... yum! Add Parmesan Cheese, if you want to make an Alfredo Sauce - so easy, right? And healthy! : )

Sooo Easy Macaroni and Cheese - delicious!

Can you really make Macaroni and Cheese in one pot, no fiddling around with a fancy sauce?  Yep!  I just did it - we had sooo much extra cheese in the fridge, because Walmart had a great price on their cheese, last week, but I can never be bothered with fussing around in the kitchen - I want delicious, healthy, straight-forward food, and this couldn't be any easier : )

Oh, and for the record, WalMart in Canada is really nice, employees are paid well, because we have a good minimum wage (and probably get annual raises), and they treat their employees well, here - hope that happens in the States, soon, too : )

Go ahead and put the water on for your macaroni - I pour in about 3/4 of the bag - use as much as you like : )

Cut up your cheese into little cubes, then cut some butter into cubes, too. I used about 3/4 of the package of sharp cheddar cheese, and about a stick of butter (in Canada, we don't get our butter in sticks - booo!  I love how they sell butter in the states : ) lol!

If you know me, and I hopes you do ( lol! ), you'll know that I rarely measure anything - pour this in, a splash o' that...you know, that sort of thing : )

It's so fast to cook the macaroni, so just drain the macaroni when it's cooked the way you like it (I always do a little taste test - take one noodle out, see if it's just right), give it a quick rinse with cold water, so the pasta doesn't stick, then pour the macaroni right back in the same pot you cooked it in.

AT&T Next. A new way to get a new smartphone every year! No down payment, activation fee, upgrade fee, or financing fee.

Give it a good stir - I use my oven mitts on the pot handle, for extra safety... and add a splash of milk when you need to make it easier to stir, but you want the pasta to stay hot while the cheese and butter is melting - I would imagine you could easily use margarine, instead, I'm just a butter girl, is all : )  But you'll know when to add some milk - you'll want to add some milk, stir, stir, stir, add some more milk, stir again...maybe more milk and stir some more... until it's beautiful and smooth...yum!

Yum, right??  It's perfect, so lovely and cheesy, no hassles with a tricky cheese sauce... and absolutely delicious : )

We each had a bowl of this fabulously easy macaroni and cheese, then I poured the rest into an 8" X 8" pan, sprinkled it with Seasoning salt and shredded cheese, popped it in the freezer for another meal, another day - soo easy, and makes at least 6 meals, maybe more : )

Omg, this Macaroni and Cheese is soo easy!

You can pop this right in the oven at 350 Degrees F, probably 20 to 30 minutes...and you can add some bread crumbs with some dobs of butter, if you really want to 'fancy it up' - lol!  I think you could probably make your own bread crumbs with some toast - process it or crush it, if it's easy to crumble?  Hmmm, haven't tried that, yet... but might be worth a try! Ooh, what about some crushed chips, corn chips or Doritoes? lol!  We couldn't wait - we just had the macaroni and cheese, right away, wanted to see if this worked! haha!  And it was seriously lovely, and super easy.

Oh, and salt and pepper, to taste... : )

Happy Eating!!  Ailsa  : )

Big Brother 16: Yahoo, Donny's Safe!!

Big Brother 16: Yahoo, Donny's Safe!!

Oooh, I was a li'l worried, there, for a minute, that maybe Brittany might actually do something, and be safe, but, luckily, everyone in the house loooves Donny, so Donny didn't get one vote for eviction - it was a unanimous vote against Brittany, so now Brittany's gone - yippee!

Mostly, I'm just happy that Donny is safe, and #TeamAmerica can get started on their next mission, to instigate a fight between two of the houseguests - who do you think they'll pick for the fight?  Who are the 'fightiest' in da Big Brother house, me wonders?? lol!  Not Hayden, can't imagine he would ever raise his voice, or not be super laid back about anything....and Nicole looks like she IS falling for Hayden, so our first showmance...so we can count out Nicole and Hayden for the fight.... maybe Christine and Nicole, since maybe #TeamAmerica could plant a see that Christine is against Nicole?  Hmmm.... Christine's smart, though, so she might see right through that.... maybe Victoria can get riled up, or, at the very least, have some thoughts about something, other than maybe her hair and jewelery?  Noo, dat be mean... poor kid. She's young, she's got lots of time to develop a personality... I can't really imagine Victoria having any kind of argument with anyone, either...so maybe Zach and Caleb?  They're both little fighters... maybe...will be fun to see what #TeamAmerica comes up with - how they get that done, then they're all up to $15,000, each - that's fantastic!  That'll pay a lot of bills!

Oooh, poor Frankie - how sad was that? He really loves his Grandfather, but how sweet is that of Frankie's family, to encourage Frankie to stay in the Big Brother house, continue with this amazing opportunity to win the $500,000...and how sweet everyone was with Frankie, surrounding him with all that love - very moving, very sweet.  Will be so nice to see the pictures of Frankie's Grandfather, once Frankie and Zach get up to their HOH room... and so nice of Derrick to let Frankie have the HOH competition... a lot of kindness in the Big Brother house, tonight!

Was sweet when Julie Chen brought Brittany's kids up on the Big Brother stage, too : )

Okay, 'til next time! Did you already have your snack?  Man, I just had a gigantor bowl of Caesar Salad... was that MY snack?? Can salad be a snack??  What if it's a really delicious salad? No? hahaha!  See you soon!  Ailsa : )

Big Brother 16: Donny on the Block...booo!

Oh, no, poor Cody was in tears at having to put Donny on the block... after Cody had told Donny there's no way he would put him on the block, but Cody was under so much pressure from the old Bomb Squad, now the Detonators... minus the women?  Hmmm, now I no can 'members! lol!  Because I'm watching Extant, again - man, that is sooo good!  Halle Berry, she's amazing!  lol!

Oh, no!  Donny's on the block! Boooo!!

But I digress... so what is the deal with Brittany? Married so long that she thinks everything should magically be done for her, people should fall down at their knees?  Ugh. That irritates me. I couldn't even feel sorry for her in her 'Goal' soccer challenge...she's too entitled - bleh!  Clearly, I can't stand an entitled attitude. It's too annoying.  Just work for it, earn your keep, you know? lol!  That was so annoying when Brittany thought everyone should save her from the block, no matter how badly she played - ugh, what is that all about?  I hope she's evicted, and not Donny. Brittany over Donny - never! lol!

Poor old Victoria... that kid... I don't see much a personality, there - not funny, not too smart, not particularly good at games, although she did well, at first, in the competition, tonight... and is there even a social game?  Wouldn't house guests go into the Big Brother house with a little plan of making friends and alliances?  Some kind of plan to get ahead?

Omg, Extant is craaaazy!!  Oooh, soo good!  If you haven't checked it out, yet, DVR Extant right after Big Brother, or if you're watching in real time (lol!), just keep your TV on the same channel - is soo good!  And if you haven't see weird Al's First World Problems, where he has to watch TV in real time, google that, too - you'll laugh so hard - that video is one of the funniest things I've seen in a long time - I loved when Weird Al's battery operated toothbrush won't turn on, and he has to brush his teeth like a Neanderthal - hahahaha!  He's livid, and tired, from all that physical labor... too funny!  That's two extra things for you to go watch! hahaha!

Okay, 'til next time!  Go haz you'self some tasty little schnack!  a wee schneister, as my Dad would say! lol!  Ailsa : )

Escape Club on E! - Are they all horrible, or just the girls? Yuck!

Escape Club on E! - Are they all horrible, or just the girls? Yuck!

Omg, I'm watching that horrible Escape Club, yet again...it's the worst show in the nicest setting...those girls are so shrill, I had to keep turning down the volume, and it's hard to see if any of them are good people. Jesse seems the nicest, and really needs the money, but, man, these are seriously horrible people - ugh, especially Meagan and Elly - these girls - yuck.

Donny seems a reasonable guy, there's the 'male dancer'/"I'm really a lawyer" guy... can't even remember his name... good looking, but man, these are not very good people. Andrew, I think...

This Meagan girl - ugh, man, it's just painful. Her life is a mess, she has no idea why?  Uh, maybe because she's a horrible individual, drinks far too much, says horrendous things to people, has no control over herself, at all?  Hmmm, it's a mystery.

I think the only hope for these yucks is maybe they'll watch the show when they get home, and have a little introspection, see how they can change their own lives.

You know, you'd feel sorry for them if they weren't so awful - particularly the women...what's that all about?  When did women become mean and horrible, even shockingly aggressive?  Yuck.

Man, I wish they'd bring Rake back, or put on all the great shows they've taken off, over the summer... doesn't everyone go home at some point in the evening, even in the summer, turn on the TV? lol!

Oh, I do like Lisa B., she seems like a good person...a massive amount of plastic surgery, but what are you gonna do about that, right?  They're thinking that will advance their lives?  Elly, though, what an entitled monster. How does anyone put up with people like that?

Oh, no, they're doing the vote, right now, and Lisa B. voted for herself to go home - ruh-roh, she of little brain... and now they're at the end of the voting, there are 6 people left, and turns out, there are 7 votes - these mowons! hahahaha!  So either some idiot voted twice (Lisa B votes twice for herself?? lol!)... I'll finish this when they show what happened...

'Til next time... hope you find much better stuff to watch! Me, too - why do I watch this stuff, and so much of it?? hahaha!  lol!  Ailsa : )

Omg, so it's just going from bad to worse... bleh, that Elly is horrible and Meagan, yelling and screaming... holy crap, batman, these are the worst examples of young people... just shows you, sometimes looks mean absolutely nothing - someone can look good on the outside, be a monster on the inside - yuck.

Ugh, that moron Elly votes twice, then she says, okay, so I voted twice, what's the big deal? hahaha!  These idiots. Now they're changing the rules all by themselves - is pretty funny, maybe the producers have given up on the Escape Club being good? lol!  And turns out Lisa B. had a little plan for voting for herself... and it did get the horrid Elly out, sooo, good job, Lisa B.? lol!

Okay, I've gotta go watch something smart - get mah' brain back together! hahaha!  See ya'! : )

Big Brother 16: Amber has had enough of being nominated...but will the women finally unite?

Big Brother 16: Amber has had enough of being nominated...but will the women finally unite?

Amber has soo had it with being nominated, yet again, but the good thing is that #TeamAmerica has successfully completed another mission, so that's another $5,000 each for #TeamAmerica's Frankie, Derrick and Donny.... yippee!  I really like Frankie, Derrick and Donny, but something tells me that Donny will soon become a target for the girls...anyone else get that feeling? It's like Derrick's been all 'teflon' so far in the game, doesn't ruffle feathers, doesn't irritate anyone, is a really good guy.... a big threat in the Big Brother house.

And finally the girls in the house are starting to notice that maybe, just maybe, they should form some sort of an alliance.. wow, if they had just listened to Joey at the beginning - how is it they didn't come to realize the power of numbers a little earlier? lol!  Sort of funny!  and the women are still not even close to being united....and, here, it was only women who were nominated... hmmm, what's it gonna take to get these goils united? lol!

Poor old Caleb is still referring to himself as the knight in shining armor for Amber, and she wants nothing to do with Caleb, any more - but Amber is interested in Cody, but maybe Cody is more interested in Zach Efron? lol! I loved the #ManCrush stories - funny...good to see they're all open minded : )

I did love the 'Knightly' game of Chess out in the yard - for real, they didn't know how to play chess, and Donny had offered to teach them how to play chess, and they had declined?  What is that?  And how did they get all the way to adulthood without learning how to play chess, maybe exercise their minds a little... might help them out with thinking things through...ah, well, it's hard to feel sorry for these crazy girls, except for Amber, who is really a great competitor... and what was with the whole story that Victoria was hand-picked for the show?  I thought Big Brother chose their house guests from people submitting audition tapes, if that's what you call them... I had no idea people would be sought out, right?  I don't know if that's true, or not, but that kind of changes how much I want that person to win, plus, really seems like Victoria maybe doesn't need the money, and that's why she's not working very hard at the game? Hard to say...

I wish old Brittany would cut back on the mascara...is a little like 1995, with the bottom lashes all heavily covered... maybe a lighter look would be better? lol!  And it's always interesting to me that any house guests with a child or children, think they should automatically win everything... once you're in the Big Brother house, everyone's on equal footing - that's what makes it so much fun, right?

So now Frankie is dethroned from the HOH title, and Cody is safe, as the lone HOH... interesting that Frankie hasn't had any backlash from his nominations, so far... that's lucky, and that was pretty cool how Frankie's family were able to keep Frankie's sister, Ariana Grande, a secret from the rest of the house guests...very clever : )

Until the next time! lol!  Hope you're having a great night! Ailsa : )

Big Brother 16: Bye-Bye, Devin...See ya'!

Big Brother 16:  Bye-Bye, Devin...See ya'!

So Devin WAS evicted, tonight on Big Brother - I thought, for sure, it would be Caleb getting evicted from Big Brother, tonight ... Caleb is playing such a terrible social game, what with being so stalker-y with poor Amber, who clearly isn't interested in Caleb, romantically. She'll be at the point, pretty soon, if she's not there, already, where she can't tolerate anything to do with Caleb, because he will not let go of this whole 'you owe me', thing... yuck.  But, I guess even all of that crazy behavior still didn't trump what Devin has done in the game. And the houseguests were all cheering when he left - you never want people to cheer when you leave - dat a Bad sign that maybe you're not living your life they best way, possible. The shame of it is, most people you cheer when they leave have no idea they're horrible people, or just really difficult people.. they really have no idea. Generally, they're not overly introspective - lol!  What, consider my own actions?  Dat crazy! hahahaha!  And, so, you always have people who will run roughshod over everyone else, or just one major person in their life, and that's enough for a giant cheer when they leave... sooo, Bye-Bye, Devin. I hope to God he changes that aggressive persona enough to be a good dad, and to be good to his baby mama, since it sounded like there must've been some serious stuff going down off screen, too, in his real life, since most women will stay with their baby's father if he is at all tolerable, but if not, they have to leave for the sake of their baby (been there, done that - very hard to do).

I was amazed that it was a unanimous vote, too, since that means everyone in the house is on the same page, and communicating well - that's huuuge!  Usually there's a big divide, somewhere, so that really does mean it'll be a much calmer Big Brother house, now...especially if Caleb can back off of Amber, and if there is anything there, which ain't'a lookin' good for Caleb, but does look very good for Cody, then it might switch to a nicer friendship.... and I thought it was hilarious that Caleb couldn't find a shirt that could button up for the vote - hahahahaha!  That's so funny - oh, hey, have you sen mah' muscles?? haha!

I'm so happy that #TeamAmerica are working so well, together, Donny, Frankie and Derrick, three of my favorite houseguests in the Big Brother house, anyway... good for them to earn themselves some money!  Yahoo! and now #TeamAmerica have to get a super-strong competitor on the block, next week... maybe Caleb, again?  We'll see if he can get himself together, remember what game he's really playing...

Oh, and I loooved Donny's family, and Jeff was hilarious! hahaha!  Man, he's cute. And funny...did I already say cute? lol!  Donny's girlfriend is very pretty, and I loved the story of Donny's brother... great family : ) No wonder Donny's sooo nice!

Okay, is it schnack time, already?  For sure, it's Tea Time! lol!  I love my tea!  Until the next time... go do something really fun! Ailsa  : )

(And I get a wee something from every sale through me, so thank you so much for buying through me! Your little pal, Ailsa! xoxo!!)

French Toast - the easy way! : )  Yum, do you love French Toast?  It's soo super easy to make, is really fast, and you'll probably make enough to pop some slices of French Toast right in the freezer, then you can just heat them up in the toaster for a quick breakfast, another day - fun, right?  And soo delicious, it's crazy!

I just got a new griddle - it's a Rival from Walmart - think I got it for about $18 - what a good deal, right?  Yahoo!  I used to always have a nice big griddle in the house, but I guess that had slipped my mind when we were buying everything for this place... happens when you move a bit, like we sometimes do...

Anyway, I had been feeling guilty about just throwing out all these loaves of bread - you know, you buy a loaf of bread, you're sure that someone will have a sandwich, or some toast, or something, then there are lots of other yummy things for breakfast and lunch, and before you know it, you're throwing out another loaf of bread.  Well, French Toast to the rescue!  Never toss out another loaf of bread, again! lol!

So here's how easy:

Ingredients

loaf of bread, sliced

3 eggs (add more eggs if you have a lot of bread - this made 8 slices)

Splash of Milk - mmm, a 1/4 cup, maybe? lol!  I measure in mah' head! haha!

Splash of Vanilla - probably 1 teaspoon... I just pour it in! : )

Butter or Margarine for the pan...

You can add cinnamon, if you like, or let people add cinnamon later, if they like...)

See how fast and easy to make this French Toast?  I use a pie plate, because it's so easy to dunk the bread in : )

Just mix the egg, milk and vanilla with a fork, 'til it's nice and creamy, everything's mixed together... and you can heat up your grill at the same time - I put mine at 6, to start, since this is a new griddle, and I wasn't sure how hot '6' would be - turned out, too 6 was too hot, so I turned it back to 4. Much better.

If you know me, and I hope you do (!) lol! , you'll know that I love butter. You can use margarine, too, will both be delicious, but I just happen to have a fair bit o' butter around the house, so I use butter...

Put a little pat of butter in the center of the skillet or griddle - I just use a knife, and go quickly, but use your plastic spatula to spread the butter or margarine around, to cover the whole area.

Dip the bread, one slice at a time, into the egg mixture, both sides, make sure it's well covered in the mixture, then place it right on the griddle. When you get a few of them on the griddle, move them gently to make sure they don't stick...

Yum! Iz you' hungry, yet?? hahaha! Me, too! : )

They will cook very quickly - the French Toast looks a'licious, right?  Yum!  Such a tasty and healthy breakfast, too - and the kids will love it!  By the time you get your last piece of French Toast on the griddle, it'll be time to flip all the rest of the pieces. You just want them to be nice and brown - you'll know! You'll laudably say, 'Yum'! hahahaha!

Some people like fluffy French Toast, but I really, really love when the French Toast is squished down - I'm not a fan o' da fluffy - I do the same thing with pancakes, squish them down - lol!  I like them really crispy...yum!

If you, too, like your French Toast crispy, just take your spatula and squish the whole slice right down, and you can turn it one more time, press down with the spatula, again, to make it extra-crispy : )

If you like your French Toast fluffy on the inside, no need to squish the bread down, just flip the pieces of bread over - deeelish!

See how super-easy it is to make French Toast?  Better than the restaurants, too, because it won't be icky and limp...yick, who wants that?  Fresh and lovely is the way to go : )

Of course, I cover mine in maple syrup - I'm Canadian, I think we're required by law to love Maple Syrup - hahahahaha!  Noo, I kid, we just love Maple Syrup, naturally! lol!  I used to love taking my own kids, and my 'school kids' (I'm a teacher) to the Sugar Shack when they are collecting Maple sugar, and making it right there on the spot, right out in the trees - is so much fun, if you ever get a chance to go and get fresh Maple Syrup, for sure take the family, you'll all love it, and usually there's a horse drawn cart that goes around, so you can see the syrup come out of the the trees - everyone loves to see that, is so cool - thanks, Nature, for the delicious treat!

Aunt Jemima is our favorite Maple Syrup - yum, juust right. Only the Original, we can add our own butter! lol!  My son, Aidan, likes his French Toast with Cinnamon (makes me want to make a stripper joke, here, but that's massively inappropriate, and how easy would it be to have a stripper, Cinnamon, come over for breakfast, anyway? My guess is she sleeps in... lol!  Noo, that's silly...!)

Okay, so if you like cinnamon, the spice, not the stripper (!), you can add it in with the egg mixture, and cinnamon is excellent for managing your blood sugar (not just all the sugar on your plate - hahaha!), and is generally very good to add cinnamon to your diet... or serve the cinnamon on the side...

And you can use whatever bread you happen to have sitting around, waiting to be eaten... so now you never have to throw away your unused bread, again - yahoo!  And you can just pop the extra pieces of French Bread in a baggie, put them in the freezer, they'll be so nice and easy to pop in the toaster for another meal : )

Happy Eating!  Ailsa : )

More Yummy Recipes : )Hope you're having a great time, whatever time it is for you!! Ailsa : )

This is so cool - let's say you've now been binge watching your fave shows, and you STILL have 4 more seasons left of your brand new-to-you show, soo you don't want to get up off the couch, but, also, you know you should probably get you' some groceries?

Problem - Solution! lol!

Check and see if your area is covered by either VONS or Safeway... they cover some of the same areas, and some different areas - does that make sense? lol!

I loove this Delivery Service for Groceries and whatever you might need, right to your door, just in general, but what a great idea in bad weather, no more stooopid traffic, or if you're not feeling up to going out to the store, or you just don't feeeel like going out to the store...or if you're like me, and get so caught up in whatever you're working on, and don't want to stop just 'for food' - haha! And no need for Taxis, if you need to take a cab to the grocery store...that's a huge savings, right there, right?

Wow, Grocery Delivery Service - that's fantastico!! Yippee!!  Hello, Future - you look great! : )

I think this is such an amazing new service for your groceries - and anything you ever need from the grocery store - if you've ever had a time when you had a tiny baby, or you're super-busy (same thing - hahaha! All the New Moms will be laughing, now - lol!)..but if you're busy at work, or busy at home, or traffic, or you're busy binge-watching your favorite shows - hahahahaha! This might be the new wave of the future, right? Ordering your groceries online?

And I would imagine you would save a lot of money, since you would just buy what you actually need... might really work for dieting, too, since, well, if we're in the store, and be 'we', I mean 'me'...anyway, let's say I've got my grocery list, then I'm at the store, and I think, you know what, I'll just nick down the Candy Aisle, see if Chocolate is on sale (see how much I like Sale Chocolate - hahaha! Is it tastier, or just less expensive?? We'll never know! It's all gone, now - hahaha!)

Not that you couldn't just 'browse' for that, anyway... right? Me thinkin', now, o' course, where is the Sale Chocolate, online?? hahaha! But let's say you're you, and not me, and you have a LOT more self control than maybe ME do... so you order all the things you really wanted, and not just a whole cart full o' Wunderbars, on sale... hahahaha! Wouldn't THAT be fun - just a cart-full of Sale Chocolate?? haha! Okay, clearly, me needs a treat! lol! : ) #SaleChocolate! Ha!

Ha! I like this picture of Julie Chen,... I'll just leave it in here - lol! : )

I DID love when Julie Chen introduced Thursday Night Football, on Big Brother - haha! That sorta made me laugh - otay, otay, it totally made me laugh - is there a huuge amount of cross-ever, there?  Maaay-be! Well, at the very least, everyone who watches Big Brother will either watch The NFL, or will live with someone who loooves to watch da NFL, or they KNOW someone who looves the NFL - so, good job, Julie Chen! lol!

Plus, doesn't Julie Chen look amazing? Wow! Good job on your Whole Life, Julie Chen!
 : ) @juliechen

Soo, I just was wondering if I could BAKE the French Toast, right?

Yes, that's right, me trying for an even easier way to makes da French Toast - lol!

See everything in the picture - including my cup of tea, which I always have, somewhere nearby...lol!

Oh, there's the Parchment Paper - why not try that, then no clean up, either?? lol!

Is there no end to my laziness?? hahahahaha! (No, doesn't look like it - haha!)

So you just make the usual eggs, milk and vanilla, whisk it with a fork, dunk in each piece of bread...

Then place them on the pans.. oven to 350, the usual...

Then I popped them in the oven...

And I flipped them, once... the Parchment Paper gives them a little wrinkle - cute!

You could just grease the trays, if you wanted to go that route... : )

And quickly made Beans 'n Toast (yum!), since I needed something substantial and fast...

Beans 'n Toast is a Scottish delicacy - hahaha! Yum! Me luv! lol!

I left the French Toast in the oven for at least 30 - 45 minutes, I think - really, I started doing something else, (oh, yeah, had the Beans and Toast, and watched Ellen - lol!), so, maybe it was an hour? lol!

Anyway, just look at them when you think of it, flip them once, then you can have them, or pop them in the fridge or freezer when they've cooled a bit, have them ready to just pop in the toaster, for a busier morning - or any other time you're in the mood for some delicious French Toast! : )

An, Voila - it DID work... haven't tried it, yet, will serve it to my son, in a wee bit, and I'll try some, too... not sure I'll do this, again - will let you know how delicious it is, compared to our usual way.. no butter or margarine, though, when you're grilling the French Toast, the normal way... and, frankly, that's prolly a huuge part of the delicious flavor... we'll know soon enough, and I'll let you know how it tastes : )

So, I had the Baked French toast, this morning, and it was exactly the same as the normal French Toast... so, really, it's a toss up - now we know it's good, one way or another, and, frankly, I'm glad I tried it, so at least I didn't waste all that bred - it was on sale for $1.00 a loaf, and me no could resist buying 3 loaves - lol! And it IS really handy to just have French Toast in the Fridge or Freezer, ready to pop in the Toaster, for a fast and tasty breakfast, any time...

I think the chances are really high that I'll just make the French Toast my usual way, on the grill, the griddle (what do they call that in America - hahahaha!) - but the house smelled great, too - yum, so, Win-Win-Win, right? Deelish, healthy, smells great!

And that probably saved a fair bit o' da Calories, too, or Fat Grams, if you're looking into that... although, me luvs mah' French Toast with a wee bit o' butter on each bite, and a LOT o' delicious Maple Syrup (I'm Canadian, I think it's a requirement of Citizenship, no? lol!), sooo, you know, it's all a balance... I think healthy is healthy, and there's nothing wrong with your food being Healthy AND delicious, right? Balance, Baby! (I balance the syrup with the butter.. TaaDaa!! A balanced Canadian Breakfast - where da bacon at? hahaha!)

To Great Breakfast Food!! Ailsa : )

Special Deals for You, Baby!!  I love a great sale!

I'm just gonna add in my #Pancake Trick, right here - lol!

I'm jus' gonna put all the pics on here, quickly, since I'm on my way to go and make the pancakes, in honor of #NationalPancakeDay - lol! Thanks, Twitter, for letting me know what day it is - haha!

And Add Vanilla to your Waffles mix, too - will be so delicious! #NationalWaffleDay, Baby!

I came up with a super easy way to make the pancake mix, and I wish I had thought of this, years ago, so, on the off-chance you haven't thought of this, already, too, here we go... prepare to be amazed! haha! (Or, maybe, a little dazzled by the ease? These pancakes are so eaaasy! lol!)

Put your grill at 5, or the highest temperature - you want the griddle nice and hot, then put the butter or margarine on the grill, pour the pancake mix in nice little rows - or whatever size of pancakes you like : )

And with the Bisquick, it's just 2 cups of Bisquick, 1 cup of milk (or water, I'm guessing), and 2 eggs, but I add a little more milk, since that'll make for a lighter pancake, and sometimes I'll pop in 3 eggs, will make it a little healthier, and then I add 2 tsp. of Vanilla - yum!

If you're making your Pancakes from scratch (no box! lol!):
1 1/2 Cups Flour
1 Tablespoon Baking Powder
1 Tbsp Sugar
1 Teaspoon Salt
Mix ahead of time, make into little baggies, if you like : )

Add:
1 1/4 Cup Milk (you could prolly use water!)
2 or 3 Eggs, your choice!
2 oz. melted butter or Margarine, use the rest of the margarine for
the grill, will make your pancakes crispy & delicious! Yum!

By the time you've poured your pancakes, chances are high that you can flip them, right away...

But, the general rule for making pancakes is to watch for the bubbles, and when the bubbles are all over the pancake, flip it : )

I think you can do whatever you like, because you can always let it cook on both sides, squish it down with your spatula, if you like your pancakes flat and crispy, and don't squish them if you like your pancakes all fluffy on the inside : )

But if your pancakes aren't cooked completely with 2 flips, just keep flipping them 'til they look juuust right to you! Enjoy! : )

Okay, so when you make your pancake mix (just use the Bisquick box - is so fast and easy, always perfect, then add a teaspoon of Vanilla - yum!), either use a great big 4 cup measuring cup (you can buy them at the Dollar Store, now - yippee!!), or mix your pancake mix in a bowl, then use the measuring cup to pour the pancakes...

Mixing the pancake mix right in the extra-large Measuring Cup will change your life (just a little, but every little life hack helps, right? lol!)

Then you just put the margarine on the grill to melt, move that around with your spatula, then just go ahead and pour on the pancake batter.... sooo much faster and easier than the old fashioned way, with the big ladle, right? I can't wait for you to try it, too! : )

I always have an extra batch, since I like to use up all the pancake batter (who doesn't? lol!), but, this past year, my lovely Dad told me about these pastry treats he had seen on a show, The Marilyn Show, in Canada, and so, in my attempt to make them for my Mum and Dad, I happened to figure out how to sift the Icing Sugar on the treats -

All these years of making fancy treats, and I've never just sifted the Icing Sugar right onto the pastries, but it's brilliant, light and tasty, and so now, when we have the extra pancakes, I just take the sieve, pour in about a half a cup of Icing Sugar, and you just tap on the side of the sieve, lightly, you'll have this gorgeous wee treat, and it's soo fast! (See the theme, here? Tasty, Pretty, and, err.... Fast? haha!) (And Easy! hahaha!)

See that delicious Icing Sugar Sprinkle? So pretty! Lacey, if you will - lol!

Just pop them in the fridge, eat them like cookies - or, 'cakes' - pan-cakes - haha!

I press down on the pancakes, because I like them flat, not fluffy, but this is personal preference, here, so, do your own thing, baby!

Presto-Chango! Squish!! I love the pancakes when they're crispy - so good!

A teaspoon of Vanilla will mean you don't need as much Maple Syrup - or, maybe you do?? haha! Whatevs, all food is good food, in moderation... and Maple Syrup has all sorts of nutritional value - don't let the sugar police get in your head, too much - a little of everything is totally okay : )

One plate of pancakes for now, and a giant plate of pancakes, for later! Yum!

When the pancakes have cooled a bit, pop them in a large baggie, freeze them for a quick meal, another day - you can just pop them in the toaster, no bother - easy peasy!
: )

OR, you can dust the extra pancakes with the Icing Sugar, and have them as a wee schnack, later  - Double Yum!

Okay, now I'm starving - better go make those pancakes!

Happy Eating! Ailsa : )
