#Bacon! Crispy Bacon on Parchment Paper #BaconBaconBacon! #Yum! #CookBaconInTheOven #Paleo #Uber #Eggs! #BaconAndEggs

Night Breakfast

(or, really, any time you feel like having Bacon and Eggs! lol!)

We love a good Night Breakfast - usually happens when I remember we still have Bacon in the fridge, and we can't figure out a morning when we'll have time to make it for regular Breakfast - lol!

But if you're a parent, and you feel like having Bacon, Eggs and Toast for dinner, or anything else 'breakfast-related', just call it Night Breakfast, and the kids will love it! All very exciting - lol!

Sometimes, you just run out of space on your grill (I got this grill for $17.99, so, grills are not expensive, any more, if you've been thinking of getting yourself a nice new grill - Grills, not just for your teeth, any more... haha! ; )

But I digress (whaaat? That's never happened before... what, is happening again, right now? lol!)

Anyway, when you run out of room for more bacon, on your grill, put your kitchen scissors to good use, cut the strips in half, they'll fit, all right - you'll make them fit! haha!

And 'kitchen scissors' are any scissors at all, you're just gonna wash them like you would any cutlery... and you can cut all sorts of meat, veggies - you'll be surprised how useful scissors can be in the kitchen : )

Basted - sounds like something Matt Damon might utter under his breath to Jimmy Kimmel - bah'hahaha! (Use your best Boston Accent, when you say 'Basted' - so silly! : )

And to make the perfect Sunny Side Up, Basted, Fried Eggs, start with a little pad of butter, let that melt, add in however many eggs you want - I like this smaller pan, they're deeper, and cook better than in the giant pan - FYI - lol!) (I have other acronyms that we can save for later - lol!)

I cook the Fried Eggs over High Heat, and pour some water along the sides - no burning, the water will baste the eggs, then you won't get that yucky 'uncooked' stuff on the top, which me no likes - haha! Yick! So, that water trick solves that problemo! : )

Pour in the water, put the lid on, pop your Toast down, and put the bacon on a plate - all done! Yum!

And no worries about eating eggs - eggs are soo good for you (the yolks, too - no yolking! lol!), jam packed full of nutrients, so healthy - let go of any old information - well, go back to the days of when everyone just knew that eggs were good for them, and we'll all be fine - everything in moderation (except your very favorite things - bah'hahaha!)... : )

Crispy Bacon on Parchment Paper #Delicious! #Bacon

No splatters, easy clean up, no mess, just delicious and perfect crispy Bacon! lol! Yum!

I love all the diets that say you can have all the #Bacon and #WhippedCream you want - that's perfect, so, #NoChanges, then?

Yahooo, this is THE easiest way to make delicious, crispy, bacon - yum!

Oh, yeah, Baby, you can 'Believe' in Parchment Paper - all your baking will be better! Cookies, Shortbread (!), Banana Bread, Shrimp, Corn Dogs ...BACON... anything you want crispy and deeeelish!

Ooh, and Parchment Paper is fabulous for cooking your Puff Pastry, for desserts or for delicious Steak Pie! Yum! (See how much we love our lives?? Eat Well, Live Well, Be Happy! lol!)

I love cooking with Parchment Paper, and only discovered it in my 30's, from a friend (sounds like something else, but this is totally about Parchment Paper - lol!). Parchment Paper will change the way you bake, forever... and it'll make food you might normally fry (I haven't fried anything in years..), and now you can bake it on the Parchment Paper, will be crispy, delicious, waaay less fat, and much better for you, so you still get all your favourite treats, just a healthier version of them, and no more burning - I don't even think you CAN burn anything on Parchment Paper - hahaha!  Is THE coolest product for cooking! : )

You can pick up Parchment Paper at your local Dollar Store - you can get it at the regular grocery store, but it's always around $3.67 at the regular store, $1.00 to $1.50 at the Dollar Store, and, you know how I feel about wasting money - nooo, that's good Beer money! Or Chocolate money - wouldn't it be hilarious to set aside a part of your budget specifically for chocolate?  bah'hahahahaha! Noo, me joke (a little! lol!)... I just want you to be careful with your money, save where you can : )

So, just turn on the oven to 350, put a good size piece of Parchment Paper on two cookie trays (me assume you will be cooking the whole package of bacon - lol!)

Lay out the strips of Bacon so they each have their own little space... I needed the extra cookie baking sheet/pan for the rest of the Bacon.

(See how Bacon is capitalized? lol!  Because we love and respect the Bacon - bah'hahahahaha!)

So, at this point, the Bacon has been in the oven, you're off doing whatever, for about 10 to 15 minutes... don't time it, it's prolly the weekend, when you're makin' da Bacon, right? lol! Just go check it, every so often, take it out and turn it.

Just keep taking it out and turning it over, until it's just as crispy as you like it - we love our Bacon really nice and crispy, where you can't 'taste' the fat - yick, fat... it'll cook away, and be better for you, anyway, and be waaay more delicious... annoying when someone serves you Bacon that isn't quite done, yet (you don't say no to the Bacon, you just complain about it on the way home - hahahaha!)

  To every season...turn, turn... haha!

 Keep turnin' 'til it's perfect!

And there you go!  Perfect Bacon, every time - and clean up is a breeze - just toss out the Parchment Paper, a quick soapy clean up of the pans... easy schmeasy, and super delicious!

We just kept making little plates of Bacon like this, because the Bacon on the bottom shelf in the oven, that was spaced further apart, cooked really quickly, and the Bacon on the top shelf of the oven, that was jam packed with Bacon, that one cooked more slowly...so, maybe space the out a bit more, if you're in a hurry? (To get more Bacon?? lol!)

I like to cook anything from the freezer section, like Butterfly Shrimp, Corn Dogs, anything you want crispy, not fried, but tastes like it's fried, you can cook on Parchment Paper.

and I put Parchment Paper on the bottom of the pan for Banana Bread, Shortbread (yum!) (Now me needs some Shortbread! Yum!!).... stuff like that - prevents anything from burning - is an amazing little product!

Okay, 'til we Bacon again... lol! Happy Meals, Happy Life!  Ailsa : )

Here's my guess... if you love your Bacon (with a Capital 'B' - haha!), you might also like to give yourself a really super-extra-special treat, say, once a month....! Ha! Is my Dream Gift!! lol!

"Get Well Soon" Drink - #Yum! #FeelBetter #ColdRemedy #HotToddy #MonthlyClubs #FreeCoffee #Hennessy #Whiskey #Bourbon #Whisky!

  Yum!!

Get Well Soon Drink  or, I forgot all about being sick...

Cure for the Common Cold: Okay, you got me - it's a Drink! hahaha!

Feel better in no time, at all - lol!

I would try this with any cold or flu... anytime I was sick, or perhaps any evening... :) !!

I think the secret is The Bitters... or maybe the combo of it all??

Oh, and you can buy Bitters in your grocery store in the States, over in the alcohol section, where the mixers live... hahaha! (People who are buying all that alcohol, and the mixes to put in their drinks - lol!)

And you can buy Bitters at the Liquor Store in Canada, since, God Forbid they make it easier to buy alcohol, or make it reasonably affordable, in Canada.

And, really, is sort of my version of a Hot Toddy, (I don't even KNOW Toddy...buh'dum-bum!) but quite a bit more fun : )

Ingredients:

1 oz. Bourbon -- I didn't have Bourbon in my vast 1970's Bar (there it is, again, with the 70's references!), so I used Whiskey, instead... Glenfiddich Scotch Whiskey...

8 dashes of Bitters (really, I lost count...! haha!) -- the Bitters has 47% alcohol! WooHoo! You're feelin' better, already! lol!

Honey to taste -- about a tablespoon or two...really, I just pour it in.. : >

Club Soda -- again, me no have no Club Sody, so I used 7Up, instead... and now I like Sierra Mist

And then I accidentally added in some 45 Proof Spiced Rum... and see, me all better, today!! Taa Daa!! (Picture me in a Gymnast Pose, right after not falling offa da horse thing! haha!)

Initially, stupidly, I made my fancy new Cold Remedy in a glass, but then, quel suprise, the honey wouldn't stir in -- I am far too used to throwing ice in a glass and addin' in da Fun! So, best to make thins in a microwavable cup... see how much you learn, today?? haha! I heated it for about 50 seconds... you want it to be like the temperature of tea or coffee... and then I liked it better with a 'Tea Chaser'... a little too strong to be fun to drink, but it really did work! (Plus, I am a Tea Jenny, so really, I have Tea with everything...!)

Maybe toss in some Cranberries (not the group - bah'ahahaha!), if you like - yum

Surely chocolate will make us feel better, right? Yum, Chocolate!!

Same Recipe, with a Twist....

And here's my modification to my favorite drink... errrr, I mean, CURE for a horrible cold, or slightly scratchy sore throat, or some time in the evening, any night at all.. ;) lol!

Cure for the Common Cold: I would try this with any cold or flu... anytime I was sick, or perhaps any evening... :) !!

1 oz. Bourbon -- I didn't have Bourbon in my vast 1970's Bar (there it is, again, with the 70's references!), so I used Whiskey, instead... Glenfiddich Scotch Whiskey...

(New -- now I am all out of Whiskey and Bourbon, so tonight I tried the Hennessy, and it was deeelicious... hope it still works! haha!) (Who cares?? Now it's just a great drink!)

8 dashes of Bitters (really, I lost count...! haha!) -- the Bitters has 47% alcohol! WooHoo! You're feelin' better, already! lol!

(Who knows how many dashes of Bitters I'm putting in, now -- I feel like the Bitters are the magical ingredient... I'm pourin' the stuff in! hahaha!)

Honey to taste -- about a teaspoon or two...

(2 teaspoons of honey... must remember to Buy More Honey!)

Club Soda -- again, me no have no Club Soda, so I used 7 Up, instead...

(Yes, I used the 7 Up until that was all gone, and now I see that any lemony fizzy pop/soda will do...! )

And then I accidentally added in some 45 Proof Spiced Rum... and see, me all better, today!! Taa Daa!! (Picture me in a Gymnast Pose, right after not falling offa da horse thing! haha!)

(Turns out, this particular Spiced Rum -- Sailor Jerry -- is 92 Proof... sooo, I think we can all see how this quickly became my new favorite Drink -- I mean, CURE!! hahaha!)

Initially, stupidly, I made my fancy new Cold Remedy in a glass, but then, quel suprise, the honey wouldn't stir in -- I am far too used to throwing ice in a glass and addin' in da Fun! So, best to make thins in a microwavable cup... see how much you learn, today?? haha! (Okay, this works waaay better: Mix all da alcohol together ( I forget and put in the honey, first), but be as smart as you wanna be with the whole Big Decision on when you put the honey in... but heat this tiny amount in your mug for 25 seconds in the microwave, and then take it out and pour in the 7Up or other lemony fizzy drink... deeelicious, and I have a feeling da bubbles do something special, which reminds me of an old joke about blowing Bubbles in the park, but I shouldn't talk about Bubbles without his permission... hahahaha!)

Otay, dat jus' make'a me laugh, soo, I thought you might laugh, too - lol!

Yum, Free Coffee... dat mah' favourite flavour! lol! (The First Starbucks ad is for Canada, and the second one is for everyone : ) You're Welcome! Hello, Free Coffee!! Yahoo!

Okay, hope you're 'feeling better', now! Hugs! (As soon as you're better - let's be real, here - hahaha!)   Ailsa : )
