Cookies?? Maaay-be! lol! Easy (ludicrously easy) Oatmeal Banana Chocolate Chip Cookies

Easy (ludicrously easy) Oatmeal Banana Chocolate Chip Cookies

Soo, I just made these cookies - my lovely son came in and called them, "Cookies??"  Hahahaha, mah' son is so funny!  Jus' like his Ma! lol! (Dat me!)  So we laughed and laughed... is pretty funny....

These are not your typical 'cookies', but they are surprisingly good (way to sell it, right?? haha!), but I heard this recipe when we were driving in the States, a long time ago, was the John Tesh radio show, and he would chat in between the music, put little tidbits of information on - was fun to listen to as we drove happily along - we looove a road trip!

Anyway, so John Tesh was saying about these healthy 'cookies' that he and his wife really like - I think they must really be into health food, and healthy living, so, that's good... we're into chocolate chips, sooo, maybe this could work for us, too - haha!

So John Tesh's recipe was 2 bananas, 1 cup of Oatmeal, and some raisins (in my mind, I automatically substituted chocolate chips - you gotta think on yer feet, right? lol!).

I happened to have 4 very ripe bananas, and couldn't really be bothered making my favourite Banana Bread - mostly because we still have two pies from Thanksgiving, and not may takers to eat them, soo, it seemed like not a good idea to put even more stuff in the fridge, right now...but cookies fall under a different category and I really, really didn't want to waste the bananas, and, thus, this "Cookie" arrived - finally!  I have been meaning to try this for a long time, now...

My Recipe: A clever adaptation on John Tesh's recipe:

4 Bananas (or whatever is leftover, and you don't want to throw out your bananas...)(Mashed)

2 cups of Oatmeal (really, I think I could've added a bit more Oatmeal)

1 cup of Chocolate Chips (okay, you got me, I just threw in da whole bag - or whatever was left in the bag - lol!)  (I feel like the 'saving grace, as it were, to these 'cookies', is the chocolate chippies! lol!)

That's it.  Three little ingredients, and I just popped them in the oven, in spoonfuls, on Parchment Paper, at 350 Degrees for about 20 - 30 minutes.  I would just check them, see how they're doing, maybe leave them in a little longer, if you felt like it... I liked the ones on the bottom shelf, better... had to put the ones on the middle shelf of the oven back in, make them kind of 'toasty' on the bottom, not lightly cooked - the key to to bake them thoroughly, I think : )

See how ludicrously easy this recipe is?  Mash the bananas, add the Oatmeal, stir well, add in the Chocolate Chips (or nuts, raisins, all of the above... whatever you happen to enjoy), and voila, some pretty tasty little 'cookies'.  and surprisingly sweet, too, and not a drop of sugar, flour or eggs... is a funny little recipe, but it might totally work out for you, too - is definitely worth a try, and you won't waste your bananas!!  Yahoo, Save the Bananas!

Oh, and I happened to put the 'Cookies?' in front of my lovely wee Trees that I love to make - fancy up the picture for your viewing pleasure - hahaha!  Ooh, and I think these little cookies would've cost about $1.50 to make - the bananas that you might have tossed out, anyway, and the chocolate chips, and oatmeal, which I loove, costs next to nothing, and Oatmeal is a Super-Food (so are bananas, in my opinion...and also, the chocolate??? hahaha!  Okay, that's a bit of a streeetch, but if that's what makes them tasty, so be it, right? lol!

Wee tidbit:  I actually eat a fair bit of Oatmeal - I loove my Scottish Porridge!  Excellent for weight loss or weight maintenance, and general, overall good health - lowers your cholesterol, is truly a little miracle food, for sures!  If you've never made your own porridge, you can try my recipe - I think I might put a wee bit more salt in than is the norm, but pretty common in Scotland - or, at least, at our house (oor wee housie!).  : )  Oh, and I love my porridge with milk - poor old milk, it's gotten such a bad rap, lately, but milk is very, very good for your body - great for your bones, and whatnot, and I work out a lot, so I need that, for sures - plus, I totally plan to live well into my 90's or beyond, sooo, I've gotta keep my body strong and healthy, right?  Dat my goal: old!  Jus' like Steve Harvey says, "Old is the goal!"  (Love me some Steve Harvey! lol!)

Lemon Coconut Ice Cream Cookie Sandwiches - so easy to make : )

Yum, right?? lol!  Homemade Ice Cream Sandwiches - so much fun to make, super easy to make, and soo delicious!

Lemon Coconut Ice Cream Sandwiches... so cool, just little, so a nice little treat, if you're watching what you eat, and whatnot... no worries with this wee treat : )  You can satisfy your need/interest/deep desire (lol) for ice cream AND cookies... done! It's a very nice flavor match - you'll love it, and hopefully you'll have some left over to share with your friends and family -
hopefully...lol!

So if you haven't tried this goooorgeous Lemon Ice Cream from WalMart, yet, and you loove lemon, you're in for a lovely wee treat.  What a nice surprise, lemon ice cream - quite unusual, and so light and lovely : )

And then, WalMart had these wee Coconut Cookies in the center aisle over in the dairy section, for a dollar - yeah, that's right, $1 !  Yahoo!  And they're really good little cookies!

I love to mix flavors, is fun to try out new little treats, and I used to make Ice Cream Cookie Sandwiches with a seriously good chocolate chip cookie, the Chocolate Chunk Chocolate Chip Cookies from the Superstore, with a nice vanilla ice cream, but hadn't made those in years... not sure what came over me, last night, to make these lovely little lemon cookies! lol! It's a alliteration for lemon - lol!

Directions:

Lay out a big piece of Plastic Wrap on the counter

Lay out the cookies of choice, two rows facing each other (two straight rows)

With a tablespoon, spoon out the ice cream (I leave the ice cream out to soften)

Put about a tablespoon of ice cream on each cookie, then squish the top on it, to make a 'sandwich'

Use the side of the spoon to smooth the ice cream around the sides.

Stack in a row, carefully wrap so they all stay together, and pop in the freezer.

They'll be ready the following day, or in a few hours, if you can't wait any longer - lol!

Happy Eating!!  Ailsa

Chewy Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies! Yum!

Chewy Oatmeal Cookies - soo crazy good!

1 section of Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies
and
1 section of Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Walnut Cookies

While you have all your Dry Ingredients out, make 2 extra batches of the first 4 ingredients - add the rest, the next time you make your cookies, so, extra baggies of the Flour, Sugar, Baking Soda and Salt - Label it, Oatmeal Cookie Base : )

Baking Trick: Use a knife and fork to mix the ingredients - is so much faster and easier!

Double Batch: Makes at least 84 cookies! Yum!

Mix in a giant bowl:

1 1/2 cups Flour
1 1/2 tsp. Baking Soda
1 tsp Salt
1 cup Sugar

1 1/2 cups Brown Sugar

Then Add:

6 cups Oatmeal (I like to mix half and half, Large Flakes with Quick Oats)

Mix in a medium size bowl (or whatever bowl you have around...)

1 1/2 cups butter or margarine (3 bricks) (or a mix of both)
(soften it so your arm doesn't fall off...)
(I just microwave the margarine for 120 seconds, whatever makes it liquid is fine, no need to struggle : )

ADD:

4 tsp. Vanilla extract
(I use 4 capfuls - dat jus' me - is prolly a tsp - lol! And Artificial Vanilla is totally okay!)
4 tablespoons of milk (or water, I always use milk)
2 eggs (Make sure no shells get in there - I canny take that chance! I never want to break another tooth on a tiny eggshell...)

1 bag of Chocolate Chips : ) (And, not the whole bag - maybe half the bag is plenty! : )
Options: raisins, dried cranberries, whatever else you might like to pop in here.. walnuts, maybe?)
(You might want cinnamon - aah, is debatable...think I like them better without the cinnamon - choose, yourself! lol!)

Bake at 350 for 12 - 20 minutes, depending on your oven - keep checking them, turn them around if one side gets brown faster than the other side - Yum! You' gonna love these cookies!

Melt your margarine FIRST, set it aside while you're mixing your Dry Ingredients, so it'll be cool enough to add the eggs, without the eggs 'cooking' - you don't want that - haha!

Pour the liquid onto the oats, mix with a fork and knife, is waaay easier than a spoon... we're nontraditional, here, and it works way better! lol!

Mix until that's nice and creamy and light : )

We make half the batch as 'Regular' Oatmeal Cookies, set aside one roll for another day, and then add the chocolate chips - sometimes we add in walnuts, too - and set one roll of the Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies aside, wrapped in plastic wrap, in the fridge, for another day, too! Yum!

Start with the Baking Soda and Salt, then add in the sugar and brown sugar, then the flour, sift with your hands, then gently add in the oatmeal - use forks or a knife to run through it, but be super careful with the knife, of course - lol! And your hands to mix it through, as well : )

Make your first batch of cookies plain, then add in the Chocolate Chips - so good!

Hmm, I was just reading mah' recipe, and I see me has a newer technique - me mix all the dry ingredients, first, then add the 6 cups of oatmeal in - and, if you have 2 kinds of oatmeal, half of quick oats, half large flakes... and I melt the margarine right off the bat, set it aside so it'll really cool, then add all the vanilla and eggs and milk... and me no put in any cinnamon, and we looove them that way - we discussed the cinnamon, but changes the flavor, so, now we da purists with the oatmeal - haha!

Oh, and not all that many chocolate chips, either - we used to pour the whole bag in, and with these oatmeal cookies, maybe half the bag, maybe a little less, is juuus' right! Yum! Now me wants them, again, too, and I got 2 gigantor bags of oatmeal at the Wholesale club, yesterday - should last for another month - yippee!!

You can scoop the cookies onto the Parchment Paper, or lay out a few sheets of Plastic Wrap, make 'Cookie Rolls', which are super easy to cut into slices, or pop in the fridge to make another day : )

This recipe will make soo many cookies, you might want to wrap up a couple of cookie rolls to save in the fridge for later : )

You can add a little oatmeal to your favorite cereal, too - is nice with Granola : )

Take The Oatmeal Challenge : ) (Yep, it's another Oatmeal page! lol!)

I loove Oatmeal - I just love it!  I have always believed in the powers of oatmeal, to lower your cholesterol, to lose weight, to maintain a healthy weight, to lower your blood pressure, to moderate your blood sugar - wow, that's a lot of stuff for one little bit of oatmeal, right?? lol!  It's like the one-stop-shopping for Healthy Food, right?? lol!

I often have Scottish Porridge, which I love, of course, since I'm Scottish, and it makes me think of my Dad every time I make it (!), and I was able to come up with an Oatmeal Diet, with an Apple Crumble recipe I really loved, so it helped me lose 35 pounds after I had my little man, Aidan....and now it's really important that I keep my cholesterol down, and maintain a healthy body weight, right, so I wanted an easy and quick way to increase the amount of oatmeal I eat every day, so I've started adding a 1/4 cup of oatmeal to my bowl of granola in the morning - it's delicious, filling, delicious (did I already mention that? hahaha! I want to say it again so you'll try it! lol!), and super fast and easy. You feel like you are sooo healthy, you're totally doing the right thing for your body! hahaha!

So here's how I do it, so you can try this, too.  I buy the big box of Granola, because I also like to save money (who doesn't?? lol!), and I buy the giant bag of oatmeal, too. The other fantastic thing about all the health benefits of oatmeal is that oatmeal is super cheap - I think I paid $5.47 for that giant bag of oatmeal I have, right now - lasts for ages. What else can you quickly and easily add to your diet that makes this kind of change in your body, for $5.47, and will probably last you for months on end? lol!  And there will maybe be a recipe for Oatmeal Cookies (yum!) on the side of the bag or box, but I'll post my favorite Oatmeal Cookie, too, since any way you get more oatmeal in your body is a good way, right?? Especially for the kids, too : )

You can get lots of really great information on the powers of oatmeal at this site - http://www.whfoods.com/genpage.php?tname=foodspice&dbid=54

Well, now I'm pouring in less of the Granola and way more of the Oatmeal, sooo, maybe 1/2 cup of Granola, 1/2 cup of Oatmeal? lol! Wo knows, I just pour things in, dat mah' thing - you knows how me be! haha!

You'll find the right mix, but any time you can Add More Fiber To Your Diet, you're doing your body a very nice favor! : )

Just use your fingers to mix the oatmeal into your cereal : )

We'll all be super-healthy, together! lol! See you soon!  Ailsa xox

See the little 1/4 cup measuring spoon? I just leave that right in the big bag of Oatmeal? Makes it super easy to just sprinkle the oatmeal on my granola. : )

Here they are - just took them out the oven - man, Oatmeal Cookies are a LOT of work, but, they're delicious, and they're super-good for you, so I guess I can justify making them every so often... and I double the batch, since I figure if I'm gonna do all that work, I might as well make a lot, right? And those are the little fancy Flower Trees I make - think I need to make one, tonight, relax a little! lol! I'll put the recipe for the double batch under the 'Flower Tree' picture! lol!

Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies  (You can skip the chocolate chips, it you like them straight-up oatmeal, or add raisins, or dried cranberries - really good with the chocolate...just make them the way you really like them!)

Baking Trick: Use a knife and fork to mix the ingredients - is so much faster and easier!

Double Batch: Makes at least 84 cookies! Yum!

Uh-oh! lol! The Chewy Oatmeal Cookies were flying off the plate as fast as I could make them - Yahoo! That's the sign of a great cookie! Yay!! : )

Looks like a Love Heart Cookie, right in the middle - so cute!
And Oatmeal Cookies ARE good for your heart - in every possible way!
Yippee!

See, just leave them in for a wee bit more - you want your cookies to be lightly browned, will be all lovely and chewy!

Haha! They're gone before I can even get them on the plate - lol! A Very Good sign! ; )
Mix the dry ingredients, starting with the salt and baking soda, then the sugars, white sugar and brown sugar, then the flour, then the oatmeal... use your fingers, if you like : )

Use Parchment Paper when you're baking - everything will turn out perfectly - yippee!!

I always use Parchment Paper, since it pretty much makes sure your cookies won't burn, and after all that work, you definitely don't want your cookies to burn... I pressed some of the cookie dough into  9" X 13" pan, just to see if I could easily make Oatmeal Squares, right? Hmmm, don't know if I really saved myself any time - I think a thinner layer of Oatmeal Cookie Dough would've cooked faster, for sure, but we also made regular cookies - just drop by the spoonful onto the cookie tray - make whatever size appeals to you...

Bake at 350 Degrees for about 15 minutes, depending on your altitude (not your personal altitude - a'hahahaha!) - I check them at 10 minutes, just in case, then just keep having a wee look. Pull them right out of the oven and check underneath the cookies - if they bottom is browned, you're good to go, they're cooked! Yippee!

The great thing about Oatmeal Cookies is that they are super-healthy, so a nice wee treat any time at all, no guilt, just fun! Okay, I admit it, it was worth the work to make them! lol!

Happy Schnacking! Ailsa xox

This Tiny Cookie Has 16 Grams of Fat - but it's soo little! And only a little bit tasty! lol!

Look at this cookie. Tempting, right? Looks tasty. Looks sooo innocent. But is it? No. It's neither tasty nor innocent, but do I love them, accidentally? Yes. They are addictive little things, but I canny buy these, any more! hahahaha!  I gots to stop, and here's why - I bought these a while back - I had been eyeing them up in the bakery aisle at Safeway for a few weeks - it's the icing sugar, they remind me of these delicious cookies the mother of one of my friends used to make at Christmas Time, but these are NOT the same cookies. These little addictive cookies are called Pistachio Mamoul. You had me at Pistachio! hahahaha!  A cookie with pistachios in it, AND it's covered in icing sugar, AND it looks like it's shortbread??  I'm in.

So I'm casually, and slowly, Thank God, making my way through these lovely little virtually tasteless cookies (it's a very light flavour, and clearly I have developed a taste for! lol!), when, the other night, I thought, My God, it's entirely possible these little cookies have 5, count em', FIVE grams of fat in them... then I quickly dismissed my thought as ridiculous, went about my tiny task of making a nice cup of tea to go with my little Pistachio Mamoul cookie....

So jump to the NEXT night, I'm in the kitchen, still thinking, it's entirely possible these teensy tiny cookies could have a lot of fat in them, and the nutritional information is right on the bottom of the package, so it's not like it's not right there in front of me, I had simply chosen not to look at it, and spoil all my teensy tiny flavour fun! lol!  I wanted to live in the dark. Happy to live without knowledge that this little cookie might be bad for me. No. I didn't want to know. Like a very bad boyfriend, sometimes, you don't want to know the details, you just want to enjoy the boyfriend.... been there? Yeah, me, too! hahahahaha! Boyfriends and cookies, my very slight downfall! hahahaahaha! (Okay, I think that's jus' for me, really makes me laugh, while I'm sitting here, writing... passing the time before I eat another COOKIE!! hahaha!)

So there it is, the guilty culprit, the tiniest, almost most flavourless, cookie on the planet, and I want them very badly. See how tiny it is? I put it on my BUSINESS CARD, just so you could see the actual size.

That teensy tiny cookie has 16 grams of fat. SIXTEEN GRAMS of FAT. What the helll???  I just about bloody dropped. And then you can't take information back out of your head, much as I tried, because I have big plans to finish off the rest of these little cookies.... but I have GOT to never buy them, again ... said the girl with no resistance! hahahaha!

16 grams of fat!!  Omg, that's almost half of my normal 'goal' of 37 grams of fat per day - I am NOT against fat, don't get me wrong, here - I happen to LOVE fat! hahaha!  And I don't like fat-free products, because they just fool your body, which can't be fooled - it's just your mind that can be fooled, not your body... your body always knows what's goin' on....but your mind, well, as I know from personal experience, and a LOT of personal experience, a mind is a very easy thing to waste......no, that's a different campaign... a mind is very easy thing to fool...you can easily pull one over on your very own mind! hahahaah!  Think how many times a day you try to pull the wool over your own mind!  Hilarious! Is so funny! Tryin' to trick ourselves, all the time! Humans - we be crazy! hahahaha!

Okay, I'm gonna go have that cookie!  It's sitting right beside me, patiently waiting for me to enjoy it, a little... seriously, there's virtually no flavour! So funny, and I want it so badly.... oh, and it really is filled with pastachios, that's most likely where the fat comes from (says my mind, who is sooo easily fooled), so is maybe a healthy cookie?? hahahaahah!! Okay, hope you are enjoying your delusional day as much as I'm enjoying MY delusional day! lol!  Happy Cookie Eating! Ailsa xoxo!

And now for some Great Deals for you!! lol!

You're the BEST! xoxo!)

Dis me, Ailsa Forshaw! lol!
I love to bake nice things for my little family and mah' friends!

If you can Pour it, you can Make it!

Soo easy - and I use the Graham Crackers, now, so then it's down to 5 Layers - Get to Pourin'! lol!

 8 Layer Chocolate Ganache Squares!
😍😋

#Ingredients! Super easy to make!
Graham Cracker Crumbs: 1 1/2 to 2 Cups
Butter or Margarine, 4 oz, Melted
White Chocolate Chips
Chopped Walnuts
Shredded Coconut
Drizzle the whole thing with
1 Tin of Condensed Milk
Bake at 350 for about 20 minutes

Rough-chop Chocolate 🍫
Melt Chocolate & Whipping Cream, pour over the base
Refrigerate
Cut into small squares #delicious 😋 😊

(This is the closest I could make to See's #58, I think, the Walnut Chocolates - but, omg, get those, too! Yum!!)

Now I make the 5 Layers of Heaven Cookie Bars with only 4 Layers of Heaven - the list keeps getting smaller and smaller - lol!

Try putting the Parchment Paper over your cookie tray (should have a rim, or it might just keep spreading, and could pour right over the edge of your cookie tray), and add a couple of extra pieces of Parchment Paper at the top and bottom, so it's super easy to lift the whole thing off the tray, after it's cooled down, about 20 minutes in the fridge, after it comes out the oven...

So, lift the whole thing off the tray, cut with a big knife, 15 across, 10 down, and you'll have 150 delicious pieces of candy - Heavenly Candy - at home! Chocolates, here we come! You're gonna love them...

Pop the whole tray into the fridge, you can take it out, again, in a bit, pick the whole thing up from the Parchment Paper, cut it along the same lines, you're done - and I always keep it in the fridge, and give it away - everyone loves it! : )

And now, for the more traditional 5 Layers of Heaven Cookie Bars : ) Please to enjoy - haha! : )

Yummm!!  7 Layers of Heaven Bars ARE heavenly!!
I know because I've been eating them all day! lol!

They're the easiest cookies on the planet to make, because you are literally just pouring one ingredient on top of another, then pop it in the oven for 10 - 30 minutes, Voila!  Perfection!!  Delicious perfection!!

You know what??  I just took these out the oven, and we're in this new place in Victoria, BC, Canada, right now - maybe not for long... we'll see, but the oven is soo stoopid and small, the heat was greater than it is in a normal oven, so my 7 Layer Cookies were ready waay faster than I thought they would be - and, here, I just checked them at the 10 minute mark, thought they'd be good 'til 20 minutes -

Thank Goodness I checked them before that - aaargh!  Too many ingredients in these cookies for anything to go wrong, right??

So check these as often as you need to, after the first 10 minutes : )

Oh, and I'm a little bit of a butter girl, so I actually use some butter, too, but you can decide that for yourself... I loooove it with butter! : )

8 Layer Cookies, 7 Layer Cookies, 6 Layer Cookies, 5 Layer Cookies - you decide how many layers - lol!

I just made the 7 Layer Cookie Squares with 4oz of margarine
Just melt one brick of margarine - worked like a charm!

(And I use about 3/4 of each package.. whatever it takes to sprinkle the bottom of the pan with each ingredient...depends on the size of the pan you use, and today I used closer to a 1/2 cup of butter, melted and mixed in with the graham crumbs)

Ingredients, in order: Enough of each ingredient to cover the bottom of the pan : )

Graham Cracker Crumbs - 1 1/2 to 2 Cups of Graham Crumbs

Butter or Margarine, 4 oz, Melted
(pour on the Graham Crumbs)

Butterscotch Chips (optional)

White Chocolate Chips

Chocolate Chips

Chopped Walnuts... about a cup

Shredded Coconut

Drizzle the whole thing with 1 Tin of Condensed Milk

Pop in the oven at 350 Degrees for about 20 to 30 minutes... just have a wee look and take them out when the coconut is lightly brown, and you can't wait another minute! lol!  Wait about 10 minutes for your fancy treats to cool down, then gently cut into 1 inch squares.. these are more like chocolates than a cookie, and although you will most likely eat these in two's or three's, make it look like you are more controlled by starting out with wee tiny squares! haha!

Put them in the fridge to set, and cool completely. (I wait 'til they're really cold before I take them out of the pan, but it's waaay easier to lift them out of the pan if they have been cut in advance, when they're still warm...)

This is one of those dishes that the colder it gets, the better it tastes, so if you make them at night, they'll be ready for breakfast the following morning! (And lunch and dinner, too!) hahaha!

This recipe makes 52 squares. (Of Heaven!! hahaha!)

Check this out!  That is my ARM under the 7 Layer Cookie Bars - no kidding!

I made them in my new turkey pan, because it has an amazing non-stick coating, just thought I'd try it, today, and tonight when I went to get the cookie squares out, I could barely get the knife in - these harden so quickly, it's critical that you cut them when they are still warm, or it'll be very tricky, later... so they're already scored from earlier, I slid the spatula under the cookie bars, expecting a couple of them to come up - you have to remove a couple (and maybe want to eat them! hahaha!) of the squares before you can get in with your spatula, but when I lifted them up, the entire thing came with it, so I felt I HAD to take a picture of that! lol!

I'm pretty sure I couldn't have planned that! And then I thought they might just all break apart, but they were still too cold from being in the fridge, where I keep these 7 Layer Cookie Squares, because they are soo good when they're really cold.  So I still had to use a giant knife to wedge between the rows, but the rows broke apart really easily, then I spun the giant cutting board around and cut each row into squares.  But that's so cool, right??

And I made the Shortbread today, as well, and will make the No-Bake Cherry Cheesecake (the one I call the 'marry me cheesecake', because whoever you make it for will want to marry you! hahahahaha!  I think it's the cheesecake! hahaha!  Can you tell I'm up waay too late, still getting this baking ready for Christmas, and now I'm too easily amused??), tomorrow - surely that's enough treats for Christmas, right?? hahaha!

Okay, 'til next time!! Go haz you'self Lots of Delicious Treats! Ailsa : )

  (Yippee, Free Apps!!)

Online Grocery Delivery - Yes, Please! Oooh... Order it here, they'll bring it to you, there.... yahoo!

This is so cool - let's say you've now been binge watching your fave shows, and you STILL have 4 more seasons left of your brand new-to-you show, soo you don't want to get up off the couch, but, also, you know you should probably get you' some groceries?

Problem - Solution! lol!

Check and see if your area is covered by either VONS or Safeway... they cover some of the same areas, and some different areas - does that make sense? lol!

I loove this Delivery Service for Groceries and whatever you might need, right to your door, just in general, but what a great idea in bad weather, no more stooopid traffic, or if you're not feeling up to going out to the store, or you just don't feeeel like going out to the store...or if you're like me, and get so caught up in whatever you're working on, and don't want to stop just 'for food' - haha! And no need for Taxis, if you need to take a cab to the grocery store...that's a huge savings, right there, right?

Wow, Grocery Delivery Service - that's fantastico!! Yippee!!  Hello, Future - you look great! : )

I think this is such an amazing new service for your groceries - and anything you ever need from the grocery store - if you've ever had a time when you had a tiny baby, or you're super-busy (same thing - hahaha! All the New Moms will be laughing, now - lol!)..but if you're busy at work, or busy at home, or traffic, or you're busy binge-watching your favorite shows - hahahahaha! This might be the new wave of the future, right? Ordering your groceries online?

And I would imagine you would save a lot of money, since you would just buy what you actually need... might really work for dieting, too, since, well, if we're in the store, and be 'we', I mean 'me'...anyway, let's say I've got my grocery list, then I'm at the store, and I think, you know what, I'll just nick down the Candy Aisle, see if Chocolate is on sale (see how much I like Sale Chocolate - hahaha! Is it tastier, or just less expensive??

We'll never know! It's all gone, now - hahaha!)

Not that you couldn't just 'browse' for that, anyway... right? Me thinkin', now, o' course, where is the Sale Chocolate, online?? hahaha! But let's say you're you, and not me, and you have a LOT more self control than maybe ME do... so you order all the things you really wanted, and not just a whole cart full o' Wunderbars, on sale... hahahaha! Wouldn't THAT be fun - just a cartful of Sale Chocolate?? haha! Okay, clearly, me needs a treat! lol! : ) #SaleChocolate! Ha!

Okay, this is MY kind o' Luxury Reward - me always 'reward' mah'self wit' da delicious chocolates! hahaha!

I loove Sees Candies - soo deeelish! The Walnut Squares (#43 - is it bad for me to know the number?? hahahahaha!) (I've got your number..oooh, is it #43??  I hope so! lol!)

Ooh, and I see that Sees has a sale, right now! Yahoo! Sale Chocolate - yes, please! haha! Yum! Don't mind if ah' do...lol! : )

5 Layers of Heaven Cookie Bars

Okay, so, last night, we decided to use up the Graham Crackers I had in the cupboard, along with a can of Condensed Milk that I didn't want to go to waste... and I had picked up a bag of Coconut Flakes (yum!), and already had bags of Chocolate Chips, because they were on sale, so I got 2 bags...

And I think these cookies should be called Sprinkle Cookies, since, if you can open a bag and sprinkle it on, you can make these cookies - lol! That's just how easy they are to make! Yay! : )

I love Parchment Paper - never any clean up - nothing sticks - I love it!

Just lay out the Graham Crackers on the pan, or use the Parchment Paper - both are totally okay : )

Sprinkle on the Chocolate Chips - the whole bag : )

Sprinkle on the Coconut - the whole bag of coconut, too : )

Pour on the whole can of Condensed Milk - yum!

You don't even have to make it perfect - the heat in the oven will distribute the Condensed Milk evenly, no worries : )

I totally forgot about the Walnuts... so I took it back out the oven, just sprinkled the Walnuts on top - usually, the Walnuts would go on top of the Chocolate Chips, but, I like them like this, on the top - do whatever way you like!

the Walnuts break the sugar, so you definitely want that - walnuts make the 7 Layer Cookies AMAZING - just give them a good chop, sprinkle them all over the 7 Layer Cookies!

We baked it for 10 minutes, then kept checking every so often - ended up taking it out 28 minutes in, according to my son - I totally thought about timing it, then forgot... someone was a'Tweeting - lol! (You got me - it was me! lol!)

@AilsaForshaw Follow Me, Baby! : ) #Twitter!

Score or cut the tiny squares as soon as it's cool enough, so it's not too hard to cut - this batch seems waaay easier to cut than the traditional, 7 or 8 Layers of Heaven Cookie Bars, though, soo... you might not have to race in to cut them, so quickly - but I did! lol! Jus' in case - plus, me wanted to try one - and now I've tried at least 5 - you know, just to make sure they're okay, and super delicious - haha! ; )
