#Halloween #HalloweenAtDisneyland - WooHooo!! Oooh, and the CANDY!! You're gonna love it! : > #Costumes #Disneyland

Happy Halloween!

Halloween At Disneyland - Sooo Much Fun! And Candy!! : )
Captain Cook checking out my 'roses'! lol! That's what they say about Captain Hook - you know, he used to be very handsy, but now only half as much... buh'dum-bum!

Oh, my goodness, soo much crazy fun! Laugh your way through it, then go home and eat candy for weeks after - now that's a Happily Ever After I can get behind! hahaha!

Halloween at Disneyland is THE most fun thing we have ever done for Halloween!! We left about 3:30pm from Culver City to get down to Anaheim for around 4pm... we had heard there might be a bit of a line up, so we planned it so we would be close to the front of the line for when they started letting the 'Halloween Crowd' into the park.  Good planning, because, man, were there ever a lot of people, all dressed up in fantastic costumes... was so much fun just to see all those people... my favorite was a 6'5" guy, very manly looking, wearing a Raggedy Ann costume, and his wife was wearing Raggedy Andy -- now you know they must have a lot of laughs at home! lol!

Buy any costume at BuyCostumes for $15+ and get a FREE Deluxe Elsa costume What an amazing deal, right?? Love it! : )

I was a Flower Fairy... anything to grant wishes to anyone who wants them! haha!  Dat my thing, granting wishes!!

It was soo much fun, though, doing the whole Disney Experience at Halloween... all the characters were out in full dress costume, so you could get your picture taken with them all... so much fun!

The whole Disneyland park is set up for Halloween, so very cool Halloween decorations everywhere, and then they started the 'Candy Stations'... for free (well, included in the price of your ticket! lol!), but was sooo much fun -- you get in a line up, and go from booth to booth, collecting all sorts of Halloween Candy... they had one side of each booth with 'healthy snacks' (raisins, dried cranberries, apple chips...all sorts of yummy things), and the other side of each Candy Station was my favorite side, they had the 'good candies'.... Ghiraldies Chocolates (soooo delicious!), then all sorts of treat size chocolate bars, jelly beans, gummies, you name it, it was great!  We left with massive amounts of candy!  I'm not sure how much cranberry raisin bread I made form all those packets of cranberries and raisins... oh, and I made a ton of trail mix, too, since I like to mix those little bags of cranberries and raisins in with mixed nuts and a few chocolate chips... yum!

At the Disneyland Entrance!
We loved Halloween at Disneyland because you have lots of time when they first let you through the gates for the Halloween Celebration to go around the whole park, and go on lots of rides... my favorite ride is the little boat ride with the miniature Fairy Tale Villages... very cute!  I'm not sure why I love the boat ride the most, but I do!!

Ailsa (dat me!!) in the Princess Area -- think I belong here! lol!

Everyone's in a great mood, happy to chat with one another, and the parade is hilarious, as always, but with a nice Halloween twist...my lovely daughter, Cara, loved the Princess area, and we have some hilarious pictures of Cara with the Wicked Witch, since Cara was dressed as Snow White.... so funny! I've gotta find those pics for you! I'll post them as soon as I find them! lol!

Snow white Cara and her Nemesis, the Wicked Witch, who was hilarious!

Absolutely, Halloween at Disneyland is a great bang for your buck, too.  The cost is very reasonable, and you'll be creating Great Family Memories forever.. and if you're dating, man, what a great date that would be!! And we stayed until the park closed... was so much fun!! I'll have to go through my pictures on my other computer and put them up for you to see... but Halloween at Disneyland is definitely something I would put on my Bucket List, if it isn't on there, already... and Christmas at Disneyland, too!!  Clearly, we are big Disney Fans!!

Is Anyone Making Money Off Their Blog???

Ailsa frustrated, Like da Hulk!!
So how frustrated are you with your highly successful Blog makin' upwards of $10 a year?? (Okay, I'm exagerating for the camera... I'm up to $8.19 for the past year... that's insanity!  I just don't get it, I make money consistently through ads and Google Adsense from my regular website, http://www.buildyourownhouse.ca, no problem (although, would be great to earn a living wage... or, dare I say it, a huuuge amount of money off my website?? lol!), but when it comes to my Blog, I make virtually nothing, even though I had very relevant ads through Google Adsense, which I love, by the way... very effective on my regular website... and I am very happy to have lots of visitors...

(Another quick update.... am I the only one who was taken off Google Adsense, and had no recourse, and it happened out of nowhere? Was scary, and felt horrible... that was a very nice little source of income, for over 10 years, then, whammo, taken away.. I guess there had been a surge in traffic, and I didn't know at the time that sometimes that just happens, with your blog... but that was enough for me to be taken off Google Adsense, and not allowed back on, even though I make a request, every year... frustrating.  and you immediately lose anything you have earned to date, when google Adsense takes you off, too... that's probably a lot of money, worldwide, since it seems like there are a lot of people who have also experienced the pain of being removed from Google Adsense, with no recourse... but you CAN recover, try another affiliate marketing program, one that won't do that to you, and will treat you with respect, and have a real person you can talk to, to resolve any issue, should there ever be one, right?  Right!  That's much better! I would love to be back on Google Adsense, though, if they were ever to let that happen : )

Yum, Pie!  Internet Pie - go get you a slice o' dat Internet Pie, make your fortune! : )

Monetize your website by promoting advertiser products through FlexOffers.com.

So where's the disconnect?  I've seen some amazing Blogs out there, tons of them, and they seem to be experiencing the same thing.  You've got the content, in come your Readers for a wee visit, they tell their friends, and they pop in to have a look around, too... and everyone's having fun -- admittedly, my blog is a LOT of fun to write... and waaaay easier to manage than my website... so I don't want to stop using it, and, in fact, am thinking, today, of creating all sorts of blogs.... one for ever subject I am interested in, soooo, about one more blog.. hahahahaha! Noo, I'm being silly... I'm interested in at least two or three other things than building houses, baking delicous things to eat (or, baking things to give away, more accurately!), and exercise.. why, I'm interested in people, too (and not just good looking, available men, although they do top my list of things I'm interested in! lol!).... but I loooove money (hence the worry about me blog not making any cents....oops, I mean, 'sense'! haha!).  Maybe I'll start some sort of Teacher blog... but I need to be able to monetize all this work, right?

If you have figured out how to make money with your blog, real, actual monetary funds, let us all know -- we want to be rich!!  Or, richer...!! lol!

I'm trying this, today... see if it works on me blog :)

So, for a little update, I started with FlexOffers, a new-to-me affiliate program, and so far, so good.  I really like how they have their affiliate program set up - clear, and very easy to use, not cluttered, like some affiliate programs have become - affiliate programs that used to be really good, then have changed hands soo many times, they've become really annoying, and difficult to say if their tracking really works... but I am very, very happy with FlexOffers, so give it a try - FlexOffers is free, of course - never pay to advertise for someone else - that's just crazy.  Cray cray, if you will - lol!

Sign up and promote affiliate marketing programs through FlexOffers.com for FREE!

Everyone who writes their own blog, or has their own website (or both, like me - lol!), dreams of making it big online, earning enough to support their lifestyle, and work from home - dat da dream, all right! lol!  Good Luck!!  I know you can do it! : ) Ailsa xox

Corn Chip Salad... oooh, it's delicious, and hardly like a salad, at all!! lol! #Salad #TheColoringDiet?? #CornChips! #CelerySalad #SunflowerSeeds #Diet #LoseWeight

Corn Chip Salad -- Yummmm!!
Yay! I finally remembered to take a picture o' one of my all time favorite salads before me ate it all - haha! You're Welcome - lol! ; )

Omg, are you gonna looove this salad... it's my new favorite salad, and now I have it almost every day (probably a good change from my old favorite thing to have every single day, the Archer Farms Chocolate Granola with a sliced banana... good for my Blood Pressure, and deeeelicious, but maybe not so great for me waist!! hahahaha!  Healthy, but I never did do the math on how many calories or grams of sugar, since I always put waaay more of the chocolate granola in my bowl than the box said was a 'single serving' (yeah, 'single serving' for a mouse... not a growing girl, such as meself!! lol!).

Anyway, give this salad a try, or just try crushing some corn chips in your hands, sprinkle the corn chips on any salad, or in your soup, or on your pasta (I think you can see how many things I have sprinkled the crushed corn chips on, now! hahaha! Crushed corn chips make everything delicious!! hahaha!

Corn Chip Salad

Big plate of lettuce/salad mix from the grocery store (In America, Smart and Final has THE best price on ready-made salad, $1.99 for a giant bag)

(Oh, and that reminds me -- you know what I think the biggest change would be to make America healthier?  Make all the produce, all the super-healthy fruits and veggies, affordable for everyone.  Subsidize the farmers so they don't lose out, if need be, or the grocery stores..., but the savings in the Health Care System would be soo great, people would be soo much healthier and happier... its the price that prevents a lot of people from buying lots and lots of fresh fruits and vegetables... that's an easy fix, and it would make an enormous change in the fight against diabetes and obesity...)

Add chopped up Celery, Green Peppers, any other veggie you happen to have in the fridge (and this is optional, but really tasty... I chop up a whole thing of celery -- technical term, 'thing of celery' -- and put some on my salad, and the rest in a baggie to put in the fridge, so the salad the next day is even faster to make...)

Sprinkle on Sunflower Seeds... I am very, very liberal with the amount I use -- quel suprise!! lol!)

Lightly top with Balsamic Salad Dressing (I love the Paul Newman's Balsamic Salad Dressing)

Add some Italian Salad Dressing -- yes, a bit of both types of salad dressing... and I'm fairly liberal with the salad dressing, too... I'm not a believer in making your salad sooo bland, you're mad when you eat it -- nooo, make your salad so you loooove it, then you'll be excited to have salad every day, and you'll really enjoy what you're eating : )

Take a few handfuls of corn chips and crush them in your hand, then sprinkle on top of your salad... you're gonna go crazy for this salad, it's sooo delicious!  Who cares if there's some fat in the corn chips, you're still eating a really healthy salad, and that's the important thing.

I took a bunch of pictures of my fave Corn Chip Salad a few days ago.. will post them, tomorrow... it's the middle of the night, right now! lol!

It's meee, at the gym, workin' off all those crushed corn chips! lol!
Oh, and I'm at the gym every day, and finally have worked my way up to Level 25 on the Stair Master, so all very pleased with meself about that!! I've never really done a whole lot of work on the cardio machines, because I like to lift weights (fantastic way to shape, or 're-shape' your body, especially for women...), so it's a big deal for me to have added the Stair Master to my daily routine.  I've found that as you increase the Level on the Stairmaster, you  increase the resistance, so it really feels like a good workout for your whole body, not just for your heart (although, very good to get that blood pumping to your heart! haha!).  Now I'm at the point where I can burn 900 Calories in two sections on the Stairmaster... for roughly 30 minutes the first time, then I do my weights (and stretching before, during and after the Stairmaster and weights), then another 20 minutes, or so, on the Stairmaster... and whammo, I'm up to 900 calories. Probably another 200 calories for the weight-lifting, too, so it all adds up to a healthier and trimmer body -- yahooo! I think I am up to about 1200 calories a day, including the swimming, and if you add the daily numbers up, that's over 8,000 calories a week, and that makes a huge difference in how healthy and happy you feel...  That's fantastic!  I loove to watch the numbers on the Stairmaster roll over the 100 mark, then 200, 300, 400, 500, 600... I think you get the picture!! lol!  I'll post a section on my Gym Routine so you can see if it appeals to you, and you might like to try it, too.  And then, of course, we go for a swim after our workout at the gym, so we call it our daily 'gym 'n swim'.... all very happy stuff!

I love Swimming!!  Is my favourite thing, ever! So peaceful, and so much fun! Ailsa : )

Louise Hay, my favourite Girl, at 89, now, I think! (Aww, Louise Hay just passed on, into her next 'Life', at the ripe age of 90...)  She's amazing, I love all her books! So uplifting and lovely, you'll feel so great about yourself, and your whole life will change - will be so great!!

And, clearly, I love Flowers! lol!

The Coloring Diet - wouldn't THAT be funny!  What if it works better than anything else?? lol! That would make'a me laugh! : )
