Ailsa: Eskimo Girl or Wannabe Skater?? haha! #Skater #lol #Costumes #Halloween #SkaterGirl ; )

Captain Cook checking out my 'roses'! lol!
That's what they say about Captain Hook - you know, he used to be very handsy, but now only half as much... buh'dum-bum! hahaha!
(Well, I couldn't see where the html code started and finished when I copied and pasted this over, sooo, please to enjoy one extra picture o' me! hahaah!)

Buy any costume at BuyCostumes for $15+ and get a FREE Deluxe Elsa costume Well you know I love the 'Elsa' costume! Ha! From one Ailsa to another! lol!

Yep, this is my favourite Christmas Gift, from my lovely daughter, Cara, and yep, she was the one forced to 'take my picture, take my picture!!  "Oh, try not make me look so fatty! " hahahaha!

So when I was a kid I was a figure skater, so I have always loooved figure skating outfits (okay, you got me, I love any outfit with a tiny skirt, but I totally blame that on my early years, when we weren't even allowed to wear pants, and we always wore mini-skirts, and some things just don't change for me... like the length o' me skirts!! hahahaha! (Yes, clearly, I am the only one laughing, now! hahaha!)

So when we were waiting in line at Disneyland, on October 31st, to get into the Disneyland Halloween Party (highly recommended for anyone's Bucket List... I have me own list, but da first word starts wiff an 'F', and ends in 'ucket'... only da good spellers'll figure dat one out, so not to worry, angry people in da crowd.. really, how many 'angry' people I be gettin' in here?? haha!  A thousand, maybe??  That not bad!

Well, I see I didn't even get to the part about when we were waiting in line to get into the Disneyland Halloween Party when I kept seeing all these girls in what I was calling 'Skating Costumes'.... I kept saying (okay, shouting... they were really long lines and it was noisy, all right?? Sheeesh...! lol!) so I'm going on and on about these gorgeous and hilarious Skating Costumes, and Cara, me daughter, keeps saying, no, Mummy, they're supposed to be ESKIMO Costumes.... well, I conceded a tiny bit, but I know, for sures, if I were to wear one, I would definitely want to go skating in it!! hahahaha! Or at least pretend to skate, since ice rinks are hard to come by in Southern California!! lol!  Plus, I thought we weren't allowed to say, 'Eskimo', anymore... now it's Inuit... but why was Eskimo incorrect, me wonders? Hmmm.  Well, at any rate, now I IS one!!  Inuit, Eskimo or Skater, take yer pick!! And I love all our amazing First Peoples, First Nations Peoples... now I'm on the West Coast of Canada, and it's a huge celebrations of First Nations People - I love it!

God, I loove it!  It's soo soft!  So I wear it around the house, all the time, now!  Hilarious!  Of course, I am very easily entertained, clearly! lol!

Oh, can you see the mirror behind me?  Isn't that gorgeous??  I got it out of a magazine, when I first moved back to to California. We were picking out all our furniture, and the fellow at the furniture store shows me this magazine with all sorts of lovely things in it, and so I ordered three huuuge mirrors, only I didn't realize this beautiful oval mirror with the gold leaf would be sooo big, but, man, it's beautiful, like a work of art.  I love stuff that makes my room look great!  I just need a nice big man to put in my room, and everything'll be perfect!! Maybe I should order a man out of a magazine, too?? hahahaha!

Okay, 'til next time!! Go haz you'self Lots of Fun!! Ailsa : )

Hey,I was a Cat Woman, one year! Funny story attached to that! hahaha!

Nothing

How to increase Traffic to your blog...

Okay, this is mostly for me, since I'm trying to figure out how to bring traffic into my new blog... I have a lot of traffic to my website, http://www.buildyourownhouse.ca/, but I've had my site up since 2002, with massive amounts of relevant content, and varied content, so that's good, but now I need to figure out how to bring traffic into my new fancy blog...  if you have any ideas, let me know, I'm here to learn and share :)

This I found when I searched 'how do I increase the traffic to my new blog'... "To become popular in the Blogosphere takes a lot of hard work on your part. You need first to post some interesting stuff that many people want to read/see/listen/watch. You need to actively promote your blog:

http://www.google.com/support/forum/p/blogger/thread?tid=6ff81b2fdcdd3d1d&hl=en#all

Then you get the search engines involved by submitting your blog for listing:
Here are just a few:
MSN: http://search.msn.com.sg/docs/submit.aspx
Submit Express: http://www.submitexpress.com/submit.php
Technorati: http://technorati.com/tag/technorati
Yahoo: https://siteexplorer.search.yahoo.com/submit

Here is a thread on the same subject with much more details:

So I've been up all night, desperately trying to figure out how to increase traffic to my blog and my website (http://www.buildyourownhouse.ca/).  I just came across this site
http://www.smartwebby.com/website_promotion/google.asp#com, and I found it very, very useful... I followed the directions, and submitted my URLs to http://www.google.com/addurl/?continue=/addurl, which was fast and painless...

THEN, it got tricky... I just kept following the links until I was in Google, where I added some html code to the top of my website (but, frankly, I have no idea how to do that on this blog...dang it! I just keep muddling through, writing a lot of content, whatever happens to interest me at the moment, and hoping beyond hope that someone else -- say, a million or so other people{lol!} like it, too...), but I wish I could find someone who could show me how to do all the fancy stuff with my site.

(I had to go in and delete some stuff I wrote last night -- or, rather, I saved that sh*t to DRAFT, so I can post it,a gain, depending on how things go inn the next week, or so... lol!)
