And now it's even easier to send a nice little card along, make someone feel special, today : )

Easter Cards! So cute!

Happy Valentine's Day!!

It's always so nice to get a Valentine's Day Card, and to give a really great Valentine's Day Card - #SoSweet!

#SoCute! Remember when you were at school, and everyone made their Valentine's Day Card 'holders' for the front of their desks? I like it better now, when they kids have to hand out a Valentine's Day card to every child in the class, if they are handing them out, so no one feels left out - that's the problemo on Valentine's Day...

Hahaha! Of course, that just reminded me of Ralph and Lisa on The Simpsons, with the Ch-Ch-Choose Me card - hiiilll-arious! So funny! #TheSimpsons Love it! Long time Simpsons Fan, AND, I even wrote 3 Simpsons Spec Scripts, back in the day - how's that for Early Fan Fiction? lol!

But it's so nice to get a lovely card, and so nice to give a lovely card - I used to spend soo much time in the card aisle, trying to find just the right card, but now it's so super-easy, and you can really personalize your cards, too - #SoCool!

Man, I love sending Cards - and I'm a big fan of sending a lovely card for all sorts of occasions - it's soo much fun to get a card from your friends and family, right?  Makes you feel all special and loved 'n all! lol! I'm definitely gonna take advantage of a great deal  : )

Can Jelly Squares Help You Lose Weight?? Yep! : > #Jello #Yum! #Diet #Treats #Jelly! #KidFriendly #Parenting

JELLO Squares - so cute!

A Little Pop of Flavor! Yum!

Yummy Jelly Squares

So, can Jelly Squares help you lose weight??  Or Jello Squares, depending on what you call jelly! lol!

1 Small Package of Jello (Jelly!)
1 Cup of Boiling Water
Grease the 8" X 8" Square Pan with a little bit of Vegetable Oil : )
Refrigerate
Cut into squares - Deelish!

OR

1 Large Package Jello Powder + 2 Cups of Boiling Water, bigger pan ; )

OR

1 Cup Jello Powder
4 Cups Boiling Water
A little bit of Vegetable Oil or Butter to grease a large pan
Cut into squares, or slices (very refreshing!), or little shapes with cookie cutters : )

Enjoy! It's all so easy! And delicious!

I mix the Jello with the Boiling Water right in the Measuring Cup - is super fast and easy, and remember to grease the pan with some Vegetable Oil, they won't stick to the pan, they'll slip right ou, easy schmeasy! : )

Oooh, look at how cute!

Tonight I made these tasty little tidbits of flavor before I went to bed - but read longer than I thought I would, so, well, now I'm back up, and the Jelly is ready (set, go! lol!)...

Anyway, I looove the Stouffer's Macaroni and Cheese (if you haven't tried it, yet, omg, it's delicious!)

So I keep the little plastic containers the Frozen Entrees come in, store them away for another day, since they're great for putting treats in, when I'm sending them out to a new home (giving them away!), but tonight I thought I'd halve the water, just use 1 Cup of Boiling Water per little package of the Jello, and I use the normal one, since I don't really agree with artificial sweetener, if you can avoid it, is better to go natural, wherever you can : )

So I just made a normal pan in the 8" X 8" pan, remember to pour in a little drop of oil (Corn Oil, of Safflower Oil - anything with no significant taste), rub that along the bottom and sides, then go ahead and pour in the Jelly...

I like to make these delightful little Jelly Squares before I go to bed, then they're ready in the morning, and kids LOVE to wake up to Jello Squares, that's for sure! Me, too! And hopefully, you, three! haha!

Okay, on with the show... lol! (I just wanted to add that little bit in, from tonight! Ailsa!! : )

You might have had these yummy little Jelly Squares when you were little, or at a party when you were wee, or maybe your mom made them for you, but they're super-easy to make, fun to eat, and if you're watching what you eat, trying to lose some weight, they're a great thing to have in the fridge for those times (sooo many times!! hahaha!) you might want something sweet and yummy to eat.

I love the texture - I'm a big jelly fan, for sures! In Scotland (and probably all through the UK!), they have THE most delicious little jelly squares that they sell in these wee packages, and their jelly squares are seriously condensed jelly - soooo delicious!

I haven't been able to find those jelly squares, here (and I've looked though all the British bits of the shops, here (!), and found lots of Jelly Babies, which I looooove (maybe a bit too much! lol!), and my favourite Licorice Jellies.. ( you know those round sweeties in with the Licorice Allsorts, pink and blue, with little dots all over them? Yum!), but these little Jelly Squares are a lot less expensive, and, hopefully, quite a bit less sugar - maybe because you'll have one or two pieces and feel happy with that, and how much harm can that possibly do, hmmm?? Not much, I say!

Better than a chocolate bar (which I also love! Thus the need for the Jelly Squares! lol!)  Anyway, here's how to make the Jelly Squares (Jello Squares). I usually get the WalMart Brand of Jelly, since it's probably half the price of the Jello - and the recipe isn't on those boxes.

Kids looove these little treats, and you will, too : )

Just use 2 of the small boxes, or one of the large boxes, of jelly powder (they have a sugar-free version - I like the original, but only because I have a reaction to sugar substitutes) (oh, I see I have my porridge in the picture - I was just about to have me fave porridge for breakfast! lol! And my cup of tea!). The only 'weird' part of this recipe is that you rub butter in the pan so the jelly doesn't stick, but if you don't mind it sticking, you could skip that, make the jelly straight in the pan, but I love when you cut the jelly into squares and it just slides out - that's just fun! lol!

Only put the Boiling Water in - skip the cold water, so if the box says add 2 cups of water, one cup boiling water, one cup cold water, you're just going to add one cup of boiling water.

For 2 small boxes of jelly powder, add 2 cups of boiling water, stir well, pour into the greased dish.

Oh, and if you like the art behind the jelly, it's a Cara Roy, and from the lovely wee town, Seaside, where they filmed The Truman Show... nice, right? From my lovely Mum and Dad!) (And my lovely daughter's name is Cara, so I am particularly fond of Cara Roy's Art! lol!)

And I don't even use the bowl to make the Jelly Squares, any more... I just make them straight in the 2 cup measuring cup - so easy!  Just put the Jello Powder in the measuring cup, add about a cup of the boiling water, stir well, add the rest of the water to 2 cups, stir well, pour it straight in the pan - pop it in the fridge, and Voila, lots of lovely little tasty treat! : )

See the butter in the pan?  I like using glass dishes for jelly.  Make sure your spoon is ready when you put the boiling water in, or you'll get a big glob of jelly powder! lol!  But no worries, I'm sure you'll have a spoon ready! lol!

Oh, now I just use any regular oil, like Canola Oil, or Sunflower Oil - or you could use Coconut Oil (but I looove the Coconut Oil for mah' face - is THE best for taking off eye make up, and I believe Coconut Oil has amazing healing benefits, too, especially for your skin, but Google Coconut Oil to see what all Coconut Oil can do for you - you will be amazed!  Don't use it on your teeth, though, if you have fillings, veneers, crowns...coconut oil can loosen the glue, soo, dat not good - lol!  A little bit funny, but a whole lot 'not good' - lol!  And men need to make sure they don't eat too much coconut oil - can also be 'not good' for da mens... yikes!).

Pour the jelly into the pan : )

Score the jelly when it's set. Use a nice sharp knife : ) Wait 'til the jello is really set before you pull the pieces out, and if you pull the first guy out of the corner, the rest should come right out with your fingers or a regular knife.

Here's my favorite new way to make our tasty little Jelly Squares - I use a little bit of Sunflower Oil instead of the butter to make it sooo easy to lift the Jelly Squares out of the pan. I use about a half a capful of Sunflower Oil - put that in the pan, use a piece of plastic wrap to make sure the whole bottom and sides of the pan - easy schmeasy, then pour the liquid jelly into the pan, pop in the fridge. Done!  TaaDaa, a lovely wee treat!! : )

TaaDaa!  So easy, and if these little Jelly Squares help with your diet, all the better!  They definitely work for me - so I think I'll make the orange jelly squares, tomorrow. And it's just good to keep them in the fridge, so when you open the fridge, there they are!  A nice little low-cal, fat free treat, just for you (and anyone else who happens to open your fridge!! lol!).

And if you have a little person (or a bigger, adult-size person) in your home, these are great if someone has a sore throat... my poor little guy, Aidan, had a sore throat, so I quickly made these for him.  If you're making the regular jelly for kids, it's fun to pour it into fancy wine glasses - kids love that stuff! Jello, it's a nice wee treat! : )

Hilarious, right?  Jelly in a Wine Glass - the kids love it - and a surprising number of adults love it, too! lol!  I took the photo up against our calendar - great picture, right?? hahaha!
