Oprah's Favorite Things!! 

Saturday, November 20th, 2010... OMG, have you seen Oprah's Favorite Things Christmas show, yet? You gotta find it, tape it (we looove DVR... let's us tape all our favourite shows, watch them when we feel like it -- we're huuge Jimmy Fallon fans, so we tape Late Night with Jimmy Fallon every night, watch it the following afternoon, perhaps with a small shot of Baileys Irish Cream!! Yum -- Jimmy Fallon AND the Baileys! hahaha!).. and you've gotta get a chance to watch Oprah's Favorite Things Christmas Show... it's fantastic!



So here's the thing... did you happen to catch the Women of SNL (Saturday Night Live show a while back? There was a bit on there, a little parody of Oprah's Favorite Things shows -- was hilarious.... but not nearly as hilarious as the combination of us just having watched the parody of Oprah's Favorite Things show, and then watching the real show.... OMG, we laughed so hard -- was fantastic!

If you can get a chance, try to find the SNL sketch online, through ZULU, or Youtube.. anywhere you can find it, watch that, first, then sit back and get ready to laugh when you watch this very last Oprah's Favorite Things Christmas Show.... you're gonna loove it!! lol!

Joy Beyond Belief!!

So we watched it, this afternoon, since it's a rainy day in Los Angeles -- highly unusual for us to actually have a sun-free day, but all very exciting, because this is our first weekend without a realtor, so we are celebrating about that, alone -- yippee, free of the calls to leave the house so someone (perhaps a fictional someone... we never did figure that one out...) could browse through our things.. ugh. Think I might just try to sell my place by myself, since Dwight (my ex-husband) and I used to always sell our own houses, and was much more relaxing... and who knows your house better than you do, right? I just wasn't sure whether I should do that in Los Angeles... but I think I'll give that a try, when I feel like it. Not now, maybe in the Spring, if we still want to sell our place... I've got a good job here, and we do like the sunny weather.. the lack of good men is a problemo! hahahaha! (I should say, good available, decent men... lots o' players down here, if you know what I mean! lol!)

Oprah has some seriously good taste, yo.... haha! (I'm all 'LA', now!)The gifts she gave out were amazing, but it's the crowd I love the best, whoopin' it up, kissin' each other... there was this one black guy who was all over the white girl right beside him -- now that I live in Los Angeles, where everyone is color-coded, I noticed something like that (whereas in Canada, you would take note of 'that handsome guy was kissing that pretty lady'.... but this is my new reality, and it was pretty funny!)... and my very favorite part was when Oprah introduced the paramedics, who were standing on the sidelines, in case anyone needed them -- how hilarious is that? That you would go to a TV Show taping, and need to have the paramedics standing by, in case you got sooo excited, you passed right out? hahahaha! Now that kills me! That really makes me laugh!

I was saying to Cara, my lovely daughter, 'you know, this is how we discovered Kenny G...' He was on an Oprah's Favorite Things Christmas show years ago, and Dwight bought the Kenny G CD, and then every year, we would put up the Christmas Tree, then put on those Kenny G CDs all night, while we would have a drink and gaze at the tree.. ah, the good ol' days! I'll see if I can figure out how to get a picture of that beautiful Christmas Tree, post it here for your very enjoyment! lol!

Oprah gave out soo many amazing amazing gifts... I loved them all -- incredible... oh, and when you watch it, tape it right from the very beginning, since the audience thinks they're there for a Meditation Show, then Oprah surprises them with all these incredible gifts, but their faces are soooo cute... you don't want to miss that... and then the Black Eyed Peas are on the show, too, and I loove the Black Eyed Peas... made for a really fun rainy day treat!

One of the very nice gifts that Oprah gave out to her guests was a $100 Gift Card from Groupon (a very cool site where they send you all sorts of discounts for local places and things to do... I joined that a while ago... great for finding out new places to go, and cool restaurants you'd like to try, often for 50% off... and you know how much I loves a bargain!! lol!) for each person to give a donation to the person (or group, maybe?) of their choice on http://www.kiva.com/ . I'd never even heard of http://www.kiva.com/ , but what a great idea it is for a website and service to humanity... you go into http://www.kiva.com/ , choose the amount you would like to give (I think it starts at $25), then you scroll through all the people around the world who are looking for some start-up capital so they can start their own business... isn't that cool? Could really change a person's life, which in turn changes their children's lives, so you would be having a positive impact on all sorts of people... what a lovely idea!

 (Well, here we are in 2015, and Donald Trump is running for President of the US... so, haha, this picture makes me laugh! Wonder what's going through Oprah's head, right here? lol!  But I do really like Donald Trump, for his business success, and I did really like The Art of the Deal... and Donald Trump is probably more on the side of women than some other members of his party...unless he runs as an Independent.. personally, I happen to love Bernie Sanders - so smart, not handing the country over to the lobbyists, which is pretty scary... but, then, Donald Trump is saying the same thing, just in a, eeerrr, more flamboyant (?)  way? Anyway, will be fun to see what happens in the States - I'm hoping for better, more open, Immigration Policies, so I can have the possibility of moving back to Los Angeles, again, one day - I love California! And opening the doors more for LEGAL Immigration - that's a big difference... you can't just let all the baddies come in, with no documentation - is too risky for the country - any country... there are certain situations where that might be a possibility, but where someone wants to move to another country, and then NOT try to do it the legal way, welll....that's highly questionable, you know? Hmmm... Otay, back to Oprah, and her Favortie Things! (Donald Trump?  We'll never know - haha!)

Okay, gotta go feed my own family!! Me playtime on da computer is over for the day!! lol! Try to catch the Oprah's Favorite Things Christmas Show -- it's a whole hour of smiles and huuge laughs, especially if you watch that SNL skit, first, then you'll laugh soo hard, then smile really hard, then laugh some more -- you'll love da whole thing, fer sures!! Wow, is the Money Frog's picture really on this page? lol! Whatevs, I DO love the Money Frog...haha! But this is the Oprah page, and if anyone knows about Resolutions, and getting things done, it's Oprah! Oh, man, I was trying to just Google+ that little message, about resolutions, and whatnot, and the Money Frog picture kept coming up, and, most insanely, the Google Plus box kept moving, juuuust out of my reach, so every time you would go to click on the Share button, it would disappear, or the box will disappear, or the box will quickly move around on it's own - sooo incredibly annoying - how is this a thing? hahaha! So cray!

Survivor Nicaragua: King Brenda! lol!

Wednesday, November 17th, 2010... So, did you watch Survivor, tonight? King Brenda lost her throne! Booted out, baby! Pees scoot, ur oot, as all my Scottish friends will say! haha! Yippeee! Who knew it would be so easy to topple a king? And a girl king, at that.... poor Sash, outed by someone he thought was a friend... Brenda.. saying she's the King, and Sash is the Queen... what a beee-yotch! Do you have to be super-biitchy to get on Survivor, these days?? Well, then, I think I have the perfect candidate in mind... someone I have to endure on a daily basis... someone who backstabs for fun and to gain even more pretend power... one who makes going to work a nightmare from helll.. there's always one at work you'd like to send to a desert island, leave them there with a bunch of other jerks (and a few nice people... I always feel sooo sorry for da nice ones!), let them battle it out.

You know what I loove, though? Jerks NEVER know they're jerks. Never. They always think they're fabulous. Hilarious. Soooo reasonable, as they tighten the noose around some unsuspecting poor soul's neck... (uh-oh, what happened to me, today? lol! Luckily, my own life never creeps into me writing! hahaha!)

I wrote a whole article about How to Get Along with Jerks, years ago... I'm pretty sure I advocated drinking to forget them, drinking if they're in your HOUSE (egads!! Get outta me housie!!), and then, most likely, drinking to forget them, again. You see how many solutions I have for dealing with jerks? One. That's right. It's very effective. I was joking at the end of my extremely crappy day, today," I wonder if I can claim Bailey's Irish Cream as a tax deduction, since it's a work-related necessity??" hahahaha!(Okay, I'm just entertaining myself, here! lol! You know I really am laughing out loud... that's right -- I've written the words all the way out, this time, I'm laughing just that much! haha!)

Okay, so I DID have some Baileys when I got home. I love it. It's soooo delicious. I canny help it. When I DON'T have a horrible day at work, maybe I'll go back to my usual cup of tea, but until this particularly difficult time passes, Baileys it is, and I AM much happier after I've had it -- truly, from the very first tasty sip! lol!

But enough about me, lets get back to some more NaOnka... ddn't Brenda actually make NaOnka look GOOD on Survivor, tonight?? haha! And that's not an easy task, what with the stealing and whatnot... and just when I had said to Cara, my lovely daughter, man, I think I'm starting to like NaOnka, she's playing a pretty good game', wouldn't you know it? The preview comes up for Survivor for next week, and NaOnka's done something really bad, but doesn't everyone tune in for the baddies?? haha! You avoid them in the rest of your life (hopefully), then can't wait to see them 'interact with other humans...ish', on TV! Is hilarious!

So that crazy Brenda was 'too good' to scramble. Man, I hate arrogance. Arrogance sucks. I should make that a website, then everyone could write in their stories on the arrogant bashtards they know... I knew a guy who would send group emails to all the women (and some girls... eeeewwww!) he was seeing at the same time -- if that's not extreme arrogance, I don't know what is. I'm waiting for the day when it all comes crashing down -- I love that part, because the arrogant person NEVER sees that coming...). Really, you think women don't notice everything? Yep. They do... and they never forget.

I gotta say, I loved the little smug look Brenda gave Sash right before Jeff Probst read the vote, when he asked if anyone had an immunity idol, and Sash looked away. Buuurn! That was the second burn on the show, tonight! Who would be sooo stooopid as to build a wooden 'shelter' for their unattended fire? hahahahaha! Too funny! and I love the idea of the camera crew standing around filming their stuff burn... wonder if they ran in to save their personal possessions? Hmmm... I'm just curious...

Chase is in his own little 'does Brenda like me' world, but now we can see if he can think with his brain, instead... will be interesting, and speaking of brainless nits, did you happen to notice that 'Purple Kelly' is a bit of a mowon?? hahaha! She gets virtually no camera time, but perhaps they DID give her a ton of camera time in the field, but during editing, whe they were looking for the least idiotic things she might have said, that only left them with the tiniest bit of footage of Purple Kelly. Funny. Stupi.

I'm really liking Jane a whole lot more -- I've gone back and forth with her, since I didn't like that she wasn't aligned with the old Marty team, but maybe he was a jerk to her... and anyone who loves dogs must be good in their heart, right? (Ruh-roh, all the creepy people who happen to have purchased a dog are all nodding in wild agreement, now! hahaha!) Man, she's strong, especially at her age... remarkable. And I loooved when the Real Holly came out, tonight... did you happen to hear the "What the Faaaaa..." from Holly?? I laughed soo hard. You can't hide behind that hideous 'mom' bathing suit... where did she find that? She's in good shape, why not a pretty bathing suit, if you're going to be, say, filmed in said bathing suit every day... I am a bikini girl, Thank God... for a few years, there,dat was not-so-much an option for me (yes, my fancy diet tips are on here... lol!), and now when I ever have to pretend to be 'conservative', and put on a one-piece bathing suit, I feel like I'm wearing waaay too much clothing to be able to swim, like I'm wearing a real suit! lol!

Otay, going to bed! Sleep well! Chase will be dreaming about Brenda -- who will you be dreaming about?? hahaha! I just took some Nyquil, because my life sucks soo royally, I can't sleep with out it, these days... I canny wait 'til m life gets back to normal! I hope your life is all normal and wonderful, and you have someone lovely to dream about! Maybe I'll just dream about finding money...
