What?? Emily gets rid of Alessandro just because he's a major jerk, or, I mean, A Gypsy King, he just can't be kept down -- unless it's with his THIRD COUSIN!!! hahahahahaha! OMG, does it get any better than that?? So Alessandro is still craazy in love with his cousin, and speaks openly about it at the very end of the show.... oh, man, we laughed soo hard! And I thought Emily should get rid of Alessandro just for that stooopid haircut (hey, maybe his hillbilly cousin did his hair for him... and sooo hilarious that his cousin that he is sooo madly in love with had the nerve to run off and marry someone else, and maybe someone who isn't even family.... what nerve, dissin' yer family like that! lol!) and the attitude... what a jerk! Good life lesson for any single moms who are dating, out there.. it's critical to gage what the new guy will be like as a new dad... I'm not a big fan of the term 'Step-Father'... I don't know about that. I think just be a good role model, and a loving parental figure... it always feels like, to me, when you put the word 'step' in front of a title, it diminishes it. But good for Emily, to boot these guys out early : )
I loved that Emily was always going right back to Arie's arms (and lips!! lol!) all night -- good for her, but then when she kissed Sean... eeewww, no Emily, yuuck! You can't kiss a whole pile o' guys, that's gonna change your image! lol! But I have a sneaking feeling all those drinks might have had a tad to do with al the kissing... and was great TV, for sures!
The guy I liked at the beginning, Ryan, is a jerk... man, have I ever dealt with that guy before ... I had a BIG athlete that I was really involved with (almost married)(he was not a jerk, to be clear...), who said that to me one time... not the exact same words, but enough that it felt like that, and I was in the best shape of my life, at the gym an hour and a half every day, doing serious weight lifting (yippee, which I am doing, again, and it feels great! I know where the Fountain of Youth is, Ladies.... it's at the gym!! lol!)...anyway, I ended up marrying someone else, because all I could think of was what happens when I get pregnant, and I don't look perfect (his version of perfect -- I loooved being pregnant, was wonderful!!) any more, and what about after the baby?? You don't want a man who puts that kind of pressure on you right from the get go...Ryan says, "I'd still love you if you got fat, but I wouldn't want to love ON you..." ugh. Gross. Sounds like something a would-be cheater would say, as a stooopid excuse to cheat on a lovely lady.... dat not good, even Neanderthal Ned agrees - lol!
My favorite guy for Emily is Arie -- they seem like they fit together, and he would actually listen to her ( a Good Thing! lol!), and I really liked Sean, but I didn't lke the bit where he said he wanted to be able to 'lead' the family? Did he really say that, or did I hear that right?? Join the family, yes, work together as a family, definitely, but to come into a little family and take over?? No. Seems like a Bad Idea.. unless Emily is seriously conservative, and believes that, but she has been on her own a long time, and seems like a strong, independent woman, so hopefully she doesn't have a need to be 'lead'...
Oooh, and I looved that Dolly Parton song, From Here to The Moon and Back... must Google that, see if I've got the name of the song right -- would make a lovely Wedding Song, wouldn't it?? So pretty, and I love Dolly Parton -- she's so cute, and so smart, and so funny... and a phenomenal talent, all those songs she's written, and all the songs she's performed... very cool to have Dolly Parton on The Bachelorette! Okay, gotta get to bed -- want to read a new Sophie Kinsella book -- just finished reading Sophie Kinsella's Remember Me? Was sooo cute and soo funny! Loved it! So now will start the Shopoholic Series... nice, light, summer reading! Aaaaaah.... xox Ailsa : )
Oh, man, I completely forgot to say how much I loooved Emily's hilarious friends! They were sooo funny! I loved that they kept getting the guys to take their shirts off and do push-ups! hahahaha! You go, Girls!!

OMG, Are Dan Brown's Books coming to Life?? What's Going on at The Vatican??
Holy Schmokes, what's going on at The Vatican, these days?? We just finished reading Dan Brown's Angels and Demons (phenomenal read, by the way, if you haven't read it, yet, you're in for a real treat!), but, man, it's like all the intrigue and possible murder of The Pope are straight out of a Dan Brown book! Is crazy! What on Earth is going on in The Vatican?? The Butler did it?? Holy Smokes (would be a good name for cigarettes sold around the Vatican, right?? haha! Or maybe the origins of the term 'Holy Smokes' doesn't just come from the old Batman series, which I looved (!), but maybe the origin of 'Holy Smokes' comes from the smoke that is sent up during the election of a new Pope?? You know, the black smoke when they're not in agreement, and white smoke when a new Pope has been chosen? Just a little thought.... it's the kind of thing I think about! lol!
I'm thinking this is a good time (and good summer reading, anyway) to read all the Dan Brown novels.... The Da Vinci Code (brilliant), Angels and Demons (remarkable, incredible, and now... true???), Deception Point (and now with the first trip into space with the independently owned SpaceX making the drop off in space (using the Canadian Arm I think!)... man, that goes right to Deception Point... is Dan Brown clairvoyant?? Or just brilliant?
Now I've got Dan Brown's Digital Fortress -- it's waiting for me to read it on my night stand, but it's hard for me to read Dan Brown's books at bed time! lol! You never know where they're going, so I love to read something light and friendly at bed time! lol! Right now, I am making my way through all the Sophie Kinsella books -- they're great! Light and fun, very moving and once you get started, you just can't stop... but no Vatican intrigue! lol! For Sopie Kinsella books, my favorite, so far, was Twenties Girl (sooo sweet and a lovely message), and now I'm reading Remember Me, which is hilarious, and I was up 'til 2 in the morning, last night, reading that... and the Sophie Kinsella book that got me started on her boks was her brand new book, I've Got Your Number, which I couldnt put down, was so funny and sooo sweet... fantastic summer reads, for sures! And then I went to the library and ordered in (though the Inter-Library Service, which is a fantastic feature for all libraries) all the rest of the Sophie Kinsella novels -- so now I've got all the Shopoholic series, and am loving these lovely wee reads!!
I've included this link to an article on The Butler, Gabriele, and the situation at The Vatican... is pretty scary, to think of real live intrigue really happening at the Vatican, but I suppose with that level of wealth and power, it's definitely a real possibility.... a real life mystery, to be sure! At the very least, happy summer reading! Ailsa : )

#TheBachelorette: #Emily Loves... The Muppets! lol!
Oh, Emily... she's sooo sweet, and sooo pretty, and sooo nice (did you find yourself saying over and over again, oh, wow, Emily's soo pretty... really, she's gorgeous, isn't she? Did she have her nose done?? And maybe a boob job?? Hahahaha! Funny how that's where you go, now, when you see someone that beautiful, you're trying to figure out what's real and what is let's say, 'sculptured'! lol!) .... it's imperative she gets over that stooopid Brad and finds a new love, right?? Did you think she brought Brad Womack up waaay too many times, last night? And did you happen to catch those little clips, last week, one where Emily says how she and Brad are still great friends, he wishes her all the best, blah, blah, blah, then they show a clip of stooopid Brad, that slow-talkin' heart-breaker (now who would break Emily's heart?? that's not right!), saying he doesn't care at all?? WTF?? What's that all about? so it's disconcerting when they show Emily out with these very nice fellows, so many of them real gentlemen (not all of them -- that one who flew in on the helicopter -- yuuuck!! Is he a momma's boy, or what?? hahahahaha! And sooo full of himself... noooo, not good for our sweet Emily!! Run, Emily, Run!! lol!)
But, man, is this the BEST Bachelorette, yet?? And not just because all the guys REALLY want Emily, which is hilarious... was such a shame in the last Bachelorette with Ashley (I hope she found love, poor wee thing!), where they took 6 guys off at a time (let's get this show over with-style...), none of them really cared, must have been low ratings, and the guys would all hang out together, have a great time, not too worried whether they were going on group dates or not... no, you go, no, no, go ahead, take my place.... nope, you don't see that on Emily's season of The Bachelorette!! hahahaha!
And The Muppets! Was hilarious! We laughed so hard -- usually we're just laughing at all the crazy sh*t that happens on these shows, but last night's Bachelorette was truly funny -- The Muppets killed, man! Was hilarious! Miss Piggy and Kermie... sooo cute!
So, these guys are hilarious... I looved the guy, a mere 41 years of age, with only 6 (SIX!!!!) kids at home (really, I thought he was kidding when he said this to Emily... I would have burst out laughing if some guy said that to me -- what on earth is he doing on a dating show with SIX kids at home... and where's the wife?? Is she an ex-wife, that you spent enough time with that you were able to procreate SIX times, and now she's gone? Only possible reasonable explanation is something terrible, and I canny bring myself to type that in, but the hair on the back of my arm goes up -- and, nooo, there's not a LOT of hair on the back o' me arm, thank you very much! lol! -- when I hear a man say he is on his own with the kids, especially that many kids, raises an immediate Red Flag... I went through an absolutely horrendous custody battle when my daughter was young, and I know the possible circumstances where men might get custody... but I've come to learn over this past few year that not all women are great mothers... I thought we all were loving and caring... I hope there was a legit reason for that DAD to be on the show... but there's usually a pretty good reason when people don't stay together when there's a child (or SIX lol!) in the picture... be careful, little Emily! Dinny choose a Bad One!!
So far, I like Arie, the race car driver, and Emily might go for that type, you know, given her past... and I like that Football guy (although, truth be told, I ALWAYS like the Football Guy!! hahahahahaha! Little joke to keep myself amused, right there! hahahaha!) But I canny reember his name, so that's not that good, since I'm pretty good with names... we both liked Charlie -- Cara really likes Charlie... poor guy, workin' his way back from a debilitating accident. (I da cynic, though, and made quite a few jokes about that movie with Steve Martin and Michael Caine, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels... remember that scene where Steve Martin's character says, "I wish I could dance"...and Michael Caine's German character starts dancing right in front of him?? lol! Was reminiscent of that! Bt, no, Charlie seems like a lovely fellow, but maybe not quite right for Emily... this show is a great opportunity to meet other women, though, so maybe some lovely ladies will see Charlie on The Bachelorette and have a soft spot for him, be gentle with him as he recuperates...
Oooh, and I like that Sean fellow, too -- reminded me of our old Carpenter, Trevor (soo cute!). (And a great carpenter! lol!) He seems really down to earth. It's terrible that the fellow who went to the Grand Hotel with Emily, and put his little wishes in the clock, 'n everything (that was sooo sweet... should try that! lol!), didn't have a good 5 Year Plan, except to be happy... and that's not easy, to Be Happy. Ruh-roh, did he not do his homework?? Didn't he know he HAS to say, married with children??? Maybe even, happily married with children??? hahaha! Pretty funny that he was from LA, and as soon as I saw that, I immediately thought, uh-oh, a flake.... it's just that there are soo many guys in LA who don't have any plan to get married.... and that's all Emily wants, to get married and have more sweet little babies... so normal, so nice!
Hahahaha! Makes me laugh, just thinking if I even HAVE a 5 Year Plan... I'd be thrilled to be happy for five straight years, and maybe even beyond??? Would be a miracle!! But I'm not at the baby-making stage, any more... would if weren't soo dangerous and slightly crazy for me, but that's just because me loooves da sweet little babies, so I totally get where Emily's coming from.... and I love that she just puts it all out there -- have no idea why ANY man would be surprised that almost any woman wants to get married and have babies, at that stage in her life.... is a no-brainer, right?? Silly men. Tricks are for kids! lol!
So I hope Emily finds real love on The Bachelorette, this time around. Would be so nice to see her happy, and truly fulfilled -- oh, and I want to see why she threw something and actually broke it, in next week's episode -- man, you've gotta be a bit looney to actually throw something, and break it -- hope there's a really good reason, or are those Warning Bells I hear, or are they just Wedding Bells?? hahaha! Go find you some great love in your life!! And make sure you're having fun!! lol! Ailsa
