Big Brother 16: Holla for a Dollah'! lol!

#BB16 - Holla for a Dollah! And Caleb won the HOH, after a grueling HOH competition - uless you were good at skating, but didn't look like any skaters in da group, right? lol!  So they all struggled away with the HOH competition, but Caleb prevailed, and won the HOH - good thing, keeps the Beastmode Cowboy safe another week, maybe longer, since there will be lots of promises of keeping him safe from everyone in the house...is interesting that the old alliance is still so trusted, this far into the Big Brother game... it's time to start turning on each other, since someone has to make it to the top, sooo... wonder who'll be thrown under the bus, or maybe backdoored, if either Nicole or Christine win the Veto, and take themselves off the block, or someone else takes Nicole or Christine off the block...

Derrick was sure hinting at working with Nicole, which is pretty surprising, since he's got such a tight alliance with pretty much everyone else in the house... but it ain't lookin' good for Frankie, these days.. a lot of chat about evicting Frankie, so I wonder if Cody will be able to talk Caleb into putting Frankie on the block, if someone can be backdoored? Seems a little unfair for Cody to go ahead and try to get Caleb get some blood on his hands, by potentially putting Frankie up on the block for eviction, when Cody couldn't or wouldn't do that, himself... hmmmm...

I was pretty surprised by Nicole's reaction to being put on the block, again - you know, she's back in the Big Brother house, has already been evicted, once, how could it possibly be a giant surprise that the Big Brother houseguests want her out, again? Surprise!! Ah, yeah, no. If someone is lucky enough to get back into the Big Brother house, of course you have t fight like crazy to stay in there... that only makes sense...

I did love the Holla for a Dollah' Big Win for Derrick - why not win the extra $5,000?  Win what you can get, and Derrick has a little family to provide for, so I love that he won the Five Grand - good for him : )  Looks like he's starting to get a little tired of all the Holla's for a Dollah', though - lol!  I loove the Hollas - so funny!

Hmmm, that double eviction on Thursday is gonna be cray-cray! lol!  Can't wait... good thing there's another Big Brother on Wednesday - haha!  See you, then!  Go have yourself some extra-good fun!! Ailsa : )

Rosemary Steak and Onion Barley - and the Barley is a Secret #Aphrodisiac - for real! lol! #Steak #Dinner! #Rosemary - How to cook with it : )

Rosemary Steak with Onion Barley

Dis me, makin' da Rosemary Steak - yum! Is soo crazy delicious, thinly sliced, amazing the next day for little snacks or lunch, if it lasts that long! lol!

This is a unique flavor combination I think you will love – plus, I think the Barley is an Aphrodisiac! No Kidding! You’ll need to let me know if you’ve found it to be that, too! Ha,ha!

Ingredients:
1 Large Flank Steak
1 Cup Olive Oil
½ Cup Vinegar
6 tbsp. Dried Rosemary
2 tbsp. Montreal Steak Spice

Directions:
1. Mix Marinade and pour over the Flank Steak.
2. Cover and leave in Fridge until ready to cook. As with all marinades, the longer you leave it, the stronger the flavor.
3. Remove Meat from Marinade.
4. Grill on the BBQ or under the Broiler (watch it very carefully for fire, though…).

If you like to Bake your meat, you can put the meat in an oven-proof dish with about 2 cups of water and ½ cup of oil, cover with tin-foil, and bake it at 350 F. for a couple of hours.

You will want to put it under the grill at the last bit of cooking time - but you have to really keep an eye on it, watch out for it burning - you just want to be extra-careful, what with the oil on there! : )

Quick Tip: And you can make one of my all-time favorite #Marinades, great for Steak, Chicken, anything you like...

In a large baggie or a bowl or pan, whatever you want to marinate your meat in...

Montreal Steak Spice (A necessity for Meat Lovers - lol!) 4 Tbsp? (A lot! lol!)

Vinegar 1/3 cup

Oil 2/3 cup

I reluctantly say 1/3 cup, or 2/3 cup, since, really, it depends on how much meat you're cooking, right? But the basic ratio is 1/3 vinegar, 2/3 oil, then add in whatever spices you like... fast, delicious, the meat will be so delicious and tender - did I already say delicious? hahaha!)

I'm just guessing you like cars - lol! : )

Onion Barley
1 Cup Pearl Barley, washed
3 Cups Water, Boiled
5 tbsp. Onion Soup Mix
2 tbsp. Butter
Rinse the Barley under cold water – remember to use a sieve! Ha,ha!
Boil the water in a pot that has a tight-fitting lid. (Like you would use for Rice…) Once boiled, add the Onion Soup Mix – I always buy this in a large bag at Costco, my favorite store, so I measure it in tbsp., but two packages from a regular box of Onion Soup mix will be about right, too!
Stir in the Butter.
Pour the Barley into the pot and give it a wee stir. Turn down the heat to Low.
Cover and let cook for at least 25 minutes. (Good time to Cook the Meat!)

That’s it! I happen to like Corn with this meal, but add your favorite veggie and you’ve got a lovely meal!
This is the surprising little Aphrodisiac, so let me know if you happen to notice any ‘results’ later in the evening!
*Find the Barley in the Soup Aisle at your regular Grocery Store. Pick up some Soup Starter, too, to make fast and delicious soups! (They’re always right beside one another…)

#BB16 - Donny's a Break Out Star, but, booo, Donny has to swing by the Big Brother Jury House, first... : )

 #TheBoldandtheBeautiful, #BBDonny

Wow, boooo, Donny's out of the Big Brother house...so sad. I really loved Donny, but I am thrilled about the offer from The Bold and the Beautiful, for Donny to go on as a special guest - so exciting!  Go, Donny, get your Soap Opera on! lol! At least we know how much fun Donny will have in the Big Brother Jury House, but how sad was it to see Donny's tears flowing down his cheeks, when he first came out to talk to Julie Chen.

So I don't really get why the #TeamAmerica mission failed - I thought it was really funny, and #TeamAmerica got the whole Big Brother house in on it, so why the fail?  Wonder if they can change that, give #TeamAmerica, Donny, Frankie and Derrick, one more taste o' da $5,000 prize... I was pretty surprised that Derrick wasn't able to swing a win for Donny, to keep #TeamAmerica together, but now Frankie is playing a new game, sooo, really, at this point in the game, it's every man (or woman) for themselves, soooo, it's Game On, for sures.

I wonder if the floaters in the Big Brother house, Victoria and Christine, will band together with Nicole, gain some strength? Seems unlikely, given the history of the girls in this season of Big Brother... but one can always hope - lol!  But man, was Christin'es husband ever mildly annoyed by all of Christine's flirting. Frankly, I hated the mom - bleah! Hate when a mother won't support her daughter - what crap that is (a little too close to home for me?? lol!) ...the mother wants to support Christine's marriage, which, well, might very well be on the rocks, after all of the flirting with Cody, but come on, look at Cody... Christine has probablly never been that close to a man that handsome, before, and how weird is that that Christine and her husband, Tim, have been together, as friends first, since they were 12? what if Christine hasn't had ANY other outside influence, and now she's finally coming into her own, hmmm? But, no, yick, I did not like Christine's parents - bleah. Just support your daughter, don't get your little Christian knickers in a knot... and, of course, I am super-religious, mah'self, so it okay dat me say that, right? Not all Christians are the picture of kindness... I'd say, maybe 30%... ooh, me gets in twouble for that... that's just my own experience at Church, where lots of very mean and very unkind people go, once a week, or so, and are super mean the rest of the time... why bother going? Okay, I'll revise that number, but only out o' sheer guilt - see, the Church worked for me, there, I carry around tons o' guilt - lol!  okay, 70% nice... most of the time... or 100% god (well, that's an interesting typo, right? I meant to say 'good'), 80% kind...well, now I'm just working my way back out of the hole - hahaha!  (Aaaahh, yikes - hope me no gets in a lot o' trouble for mah' thoughts on this... is my own personal experience...hope that helps... : )

Okay, see you later, my fellow Big Brother fan! lol!  Hope you've got something super-fun planned (or even better, not planned!) for the Labor Day Weekend! Ailsa : )

Dat me!  I was just looking through my selection of public images that I have on hand for when I'm writing about Big Brother, right, and lookie what me found?? It me, baby, in da kitchen, where I always be! lol!  That's our favorite meat marinade - A few tbsp. of Montreal Steak Spice (the one they talk about on Big Brother After Dark, ironically enough - is fantastic on anything - veggies done on the BBQ, or in a tin foil 'case' in the oven, or on the BBQ, on mushrooms, in my fave Macaroni Salad - you name it, I love Montreal Steak Spice on tons o' things : )  And then just put the Montreal Steak Spice in a large baggie, or a bowl, or whatever it is you like to marinade things in, mix with 2/3 cup oil, 1/3 cup vinegar, whammo, deeelicious! You can use this marinade for steak, chicken, anything you like : )   Also, I really liked that dress - lol!  Think I wore it so much, I mightta worn that wee thing out! lol!  (Mostly, I just wanted to see what I looked like in this picture, and compare it to what I look like, now - I think the gym is the Fountain of Youth - think I'm 48 in this pic : )  lol!
