Because THAT's cool! haha! |
Getting every last drop out of your Lubriderm, or any hand cream, bottle.. cut the bottom off and pour into the almost empty next guy... but I have a better idea! lol! (Don't worry, it's not sordid!! Just another hand cream story! lol!!) Ok, so I just fought with the older Lubriderm plastic 'bottle' (for lack of another word... it's not really a 'bottle', and it's not really a 'container', since that sounds like a box of some sort.... but you know what I mean... that plastic thing your hand cream comes in....). Anyway, I cannot bring myself to throw out the last 1/6th of the 'jar' of Lubriderm, because it's just too much to throw away, and if you fight hard enough with the container, eventually your heavy duty scissors will break through the plastic, and you can cut around the container, pour the rest of the hand cream into the next Lubriderm container, over.... you know, when THAT one is almost empty (or you can't get it to pump out the rest of the moisturizer... so annoying!!) So I have a great idea for solving this very annoying, wasteful problem. None of us want to be wasteful (anymore!), and when you have a pump for your hand cream, a good 1/6th of it is stuck at the bottom of the container, at least. It's very frustrating. Especially if you're FAR too lazy to go out and buy another 6 containers of Lubriderm, 'cuz you've already been to the store so many times, this week! hahaha! But, no, it's not just laziness, it's to be more frugal, careful with your money, and you don't want to waste anything... especially something you're very fond of, something that makes you feel like you'll retain your youth, forever -- okay, maybe that's just me -- I'm addicted to Lubriderm, the completely unscented one, because it's one of the very few hand creams on the market that is truly scent-free, and I need that. Plus, I use it on everything, but I love it on my face, neck, hands and legs... they all need to be smooth forever!! lol! So here's my Great Idea: the manufacturer could put a zipline thing with a little catch to pull it around, about 1/6th of the way down the container, so people (a zillion or so customers!), could easily pull a tab, and go along a corregated line, open the container close to the bottom to access the rest of the product. There's hardly anything we buy where you don't care about 1/6th of the product, right? Like your donuts that you bought 'by accident' (Ha!)... the ones that come in that plastic 6 pack? You wouldn't just throw out the plastic container with one donut left, right? And you wouldn't throw away one beer from a six pack, for sure, right?? lol! (Uh, I see my excellent examples are beer and donuts... now what does that say about my lifestyle??? hahahahahaha!! That I put happiness, first?? lol!) And that's not going to change how much Lubriderm, or any other kind of hand cream, they sell... that would make me like the company even more, since they care about not being wasteful, they care about me not injuring myself in my determining effort to get the rest of the Lubriderm out of the bottle.... They Care About the Consumer (me!) (and You!!). Otay, that my Idea for the Day!! I hope someone out there in Computerland hears it! Would be fantstic, and conumers would be soo thankful!! : ) Ailsa |
Here's my new way of getting all the rest of the hand cream - it's crazy to waste almost a 1/4 of the container, right? Ugh. I hate wasting anything, especially if it's hard-to-come-by fragrance free and 100% Lanolin and Dye free, too - why is it so hard to find my favourite fragrance free products, these days? I don't get that - they used to be so easy to find, and now only a couple of stores carry these brands - Lubriderm and Purex both make really good, actually scent-free products.
I just put my make up powder out on the balcony to air out - the scent is soo strong, it takes a solid month to get rid of the smell, so I have to open it, shake out the powder, it's my favourite CoverGirl Loose Face Powder, very nice and light, but it smells like Noxema when you first open the container, soo, out it goes to the balcony until it's aired out long enough to get rid of the scent. Would be soo great if CoverGirl could make a completely scent-free face powder, to start with, then I wouldn't have to go through all this balcony business of airing this stuff out - lol!
Oh, and that's my favourite lip balm - I looove it! It's Webber, Vitamin E, but with a little 'e' - for some reason, the one in the jar is better than the one in the tube - if you have sensitivities to scent, you'll love this - even if you are all 'normal', and whatnot, you'll love these products. Your lips are a'gonna be soo smooth! hahaha! See you soon! Ailsa : )
Well, interestingly enough, here's how I first found the truly fragrance free Lubriderm, after they changed their normal Fragrance free lotion... I tried the Men's Lubriderm, and it's amazing. So here it is, in case you have a hard time finding it, too - lol!
