2 Million Birds and Fish Die, and it's 'nothing to worry about'?? Geez, I'm a little worried...

Two million dead fish in Maryland    So this is the link I just followed when I went to check my yahoo.ca email... it's from the Canadian News, and this is unbelievably shocking.  I read their little article, and, man, are they downplaying this horrific event like crazy, or what??  Why??  Here's a little quote from the article, so you can see why I find this so disturbing, on a zillion levels...

"It is not that unusual," said Kristen Schuler, scientist at the US Geological Survey's National Wildlife Center.

"There is nothing apocalyptic or anything that is necessarily out of the ordinary for what we would see in any given week."

Really???  Nothing out of the ordinary?  Just admit that it's insane and they're doing everything they can to find out what on earth is happening to MILLIONS of Birds and Fish around the world, since it isn't just happening in America...

Regarding the bird deaths in Arkansas, where the local custom is to set off fireworks to mark New Year's Eve, officials determined it was likely that the noise set off a deadly bird panic.

"It appears unusually loud noises, reported shortly before the birds began to fall, caused the birds to flush from a roost," the USGS National Wildlife Health Center said in a statement posted on the Arkansas Fish and Game Commission website.

"Additional fireworks in the area may have forced the birds to fly at a lower altitude than normal and hit houses, vehicles, trees and other objects. Blackbirds have poor night vision and typically do not fly at night."

Come on, who would  believe a crazy story like that??  Are these the same people who think it would be a fantastic idea to actually have Sarah Palin run for PRESIDENT??  Man, I know I'm an immigrant, here, but it is hard to stand on the sidelines, and see that people, an actual group of people, would advocate someone that incapable of leading them, in a major recession... or any other possible time.  Why?  Because she's a pretty, gun-totin' American??  Ugh.  Please, she would be the Leader of the Free World, at least offer up someone with the highest level of intelligence you can find... anything less is obscene to me. And I am a huge supporter of Obama -- the man is brilliant.  But I was also a supporter of John McCain, because he was brilliant, too.  Anyone truly brilliant gets to run -- you'd think that would be in the rule book, somewhere...

But I digress... let's get back to the birds and the bees... errrr, the birds and the fish.  So now there are all these conspiracy theories, religious people are having a field day (and stocking up on canned goods.. maybe not such a bad idea! Mostly, I have stored up a lot of chocolate chips, and I'm not sure how long they would last, but we do still have a lot of chocolate left from Christmas... maybe I'll get some tinned beans, or something, too! Think I might get my Bible out, too...! lol!)

So what do you think?  Will we get the truth, and why would that be hidden from the media??  Seems ridiculous.  All that information about celebrity break-ups, but virtually no information about 2 million birds and fish dying around the world??  Something's fishy.....

Here's the article so you can pop in to read it, too, and if you find a good link, post it to comments so we can all have a wee look, please! And I'm not so sure you'll want to stock up on tuna! lol!
